Enjoy watching you draw and carve your own designs. I try to carve pictures that are cute, think would be good as stamp. Your right its very relaxing doing crafting.
LOL I am so like you, that's why I call myself a mixed media artists and started a TH-cam channel also. I am retired now but still can't find enough time. Thanks for sharing your passions.
A handy tip to help make figuring out the positive & negative a bit more easily, is to actually cover the stamp surface with a different coloured ink (something that dries quickly) before you start carving. That way you can see what you carve away & what remains better.
You. Are. Amazing. God loves creativity in His children. When you bring home your report card and He sees an A+ in Art, He’s happy and hangs it on the Universe for everyone to see. Oh, and you never bug me (I had to say it). You should put the give button on your TH-cam for tips or what have you. Who knows, you could get enough for a computer. I’d give you a tip. If everyone who subscribed to you gave a tip you could get one. Of course, I don’t know how TH-cam works, so it’s easy for me to say. Blessings!
Thanks for the real time demo, geesh, another genre of supplies I must now try…. Love your fearless channel, found you through the watercolor doodles, stayed for the relaxing excitement of new techniques you try. 🪲🎨✂️
I am 100% like you. No time, easily bored, and many, many interests and hobbies. lol I will make jewelry one week, then make handmade cards, then perhaps alcohol ink paintings, the occasional acrylic paint painting. Then I'll see someone make a paper box and want to make boxes. The only thing I've tried but can't stick with is crocheting and sewing. It's so hard...my brain can't get it. 😂 Thanks for your channel, I really enjoy it. Hugs from Miami.
You did an amazing job with these stamps! And, as we know, nature has its imperfections as we do, which adds organic and realistic beauty. Thank you for sharing!
I always enjoy your videos! I especially love when the theme is bugs. I am a fellow bug lover. I dabble in a bunch of different creative hobbies as well.
I love your channel. Ceri the Crafter loves watching and talking about you. He was so excited to use your bug stamps. I am really enjoying your bugs much more than real ones.
I love Entomology as well. Your carvings are lovely. thank you for showing us. Seems really fun❤ I like you do different things. I get bored too and it's fun to learn new things and techniques.
I’m an art teacher and I do an advanced project with my high school students like this. I think all of the little imperfections as you call them give these print character. I’m so glad you made this video it’s great to see someone showing how fun and relaxing it can be to create your own stamps. Great job
Lovely video! I've always wanted to try making my own stamps but I always thought it was complicated but after watching your video I have ordered some supplies and I'm gonna try it! So thank you!
You are so talented. Loved watching the process on how to carve your own stamps. Love your bugs. I am like you I get bored also if doing the same thing and done a few different crafts in my life time. Thank you for sharing.
Those stamps are too cool! I love how they look and of course never thought of making big hugs like that, lol! Thank you for sharing, I have to give this a try. Julie 🥰
I realized a few years ago that all the moving from thing to thing and being "quickly bored" with my hobies is because my REAL hobby is Learning and Experimenting. Usually something artsy. When I told my family, they were all much happier with me and so was I.
Great unique stamps! Your tip about starting with a line down the centre really helped me when i tried the watercolour beetle yesterday! Mine used to often end up very lop-sided - but much more symmetrical now. I also try lots of different crafts (via TH-cam) and getting poorer - but having fun!!
I do not like bugs, but I have to say your carvings make them look cute. LOL! Thank you so much. I just started carving stamps so this video has been great and so informative. New subscriber here and love your channel.
I absolutely love love love your videos. Thank you for your content. I have started drawing again, after years of not picking up a pen or pencil. I watched your last video and drew bugs with you. Then I looked up someone else who drew bugs. I ran across John Muir Laws. I believe he is an entomologist. He was mentioning how he was drawing bugs that were specimen and how the people that pin the specimen don't put them in the positions the bug are in life. They pull out the legs so they are symmetrical and fold down the antennas so more specimens will fit in their cases. Maybe you should check him out too, see what you think! Thanks again for everything you do. I appreciate you.
Speed ball has a slanted platform to put your rubber you are carving so it doesnt slip. I saw a brand new one at Goodwill and should have bought it but didn't.
I really like that you do not speed up nor edit your videos. We get to see the whole process which editing sometimes omits that one simple boring step that we may need.
Omg I love them all so much!! I’ve been getting into lino cutting recently but I need to get more blade sizes, this is great inspo tho and makes me wanna make so many prints!!
Very cool. Is there nothing you can't do, and do well??? I also like to try a bit of everything I keep meaning to carve linoleum blocks or erasers, but I am in the middle of 10 other things for an upcoming craft fair. I always enjoy watching the process. I hope you don't get the ability to speed up your videos anytime soon.
I dabble a bit in everything too because it is fun like you say that is the joy of art as you try new things. Could you use air dry clay instead of lino to make your own stamps as sounds such a brilliant project? Great job especially the butterfly 🦋 hugs xx
@@thecreativecove6898 that is a good point actually as yes would get brittle over time, I have just brought some cold pressed wax from Etsy (fantastic for texture which I love in my art as can use it with paints) so maybe try and stop that from happening as you seal, heat it with a heat gun 🤷♀️ have to see I guess lols cheers for replying luv hugs xx
The problem I had was with any sayings. So I wrote them on a piece of paper in very heavy pencil and the rubber picked up enough for me to start drawing letters on the rubber!
I love that you're interested in so many things and willing to take us along with you! I love them all! So cool! Thanks!
Thank you 😊

I have to make time. If I don’t get to create I go crazy 😜 lol

Great tip. Thank you 😊
@allisonjames2923 but then how do you draw the design on over the ink please
@@sueallen952 If you take a pink or lighter colour you can draw over it with pencil etc still.

You should sell these…I see Tim Holtz in those stamps. Very good🥰

Perfect timing Just got my kit of tools and pink sheets from Amazon. So glad to see again how you achieved your stamps. Sure enjoy your explorations.

Thank you. There are times I do wish I had editing software. However it’s kind of you to say that it’s not needed 😊
Wonderful! You are very talented. I love the bee one.

Not sure. I’ve never tried that I suppose air dry clay would work for a stamp I would just be concerned about it braking once it dries

Hi! Can you link what you used from Amazon or give the name? Thank you!
Will do
@thecreativecove6898 I found them but thank you!! 😊
The problem I had was with any sayings. So I wrote them on a piece of paper in very heavy pencil and the rubber picked up enough for me to start drawing letters on the rubber!
Please add a monetized link if you are able, I like credit to go to tge artist who turned me on to new supplies!!
Thank you. I will try but not very tech savvy lol
p.s. i don't think it is tedious to watch at all. it helps me learn.
