This was lots of fun. I saw another one of your videos using the script stamp, and wondered how to get just the rubber part without the block! Now I know, thanks so much.
Fantastic tutorial Michele! As always, your ideas are always fun and creative. I've never thought about using ink on my gelli plate or using stamps on them. Thank you for sharing your creative talent with us.
Thanks for sharing these great ideas! The gelli plate is magical, you never know exactly what you'll get. I also love the roll off papers you get when cleaning the brayer. Sometimes they're as interesting as what you create intentionally.
These turned out really beautifully. I love gel plates for their versatility. I am a really messy crafter, but I embrace it. I always end up with inky fingers whenever I am stamping but I think of it as part of the fun!
I love this idea. I am hoping i can find something that will work in replace of the gelli plate. I do not have one. I have seen so many DIY plates. I might try that out when i get back from the cottage... but in the mean time. I will investigate substitutes. There has to be something that will sort of work for the ones with the colour backing.. Stencils would work well here for little corners and spots or a light back ground... Thank you for sharing this idea, these are so simple but they look so goooooood!
I love the effects you achieved! Up to this point I have not really been inspired to play with the gelli plate and paint, but live the inks and stamps. TFS
Thank you so much Michelle, I really really enjoyed watching you create all these amazing and beautiful pieces of stamped and inked paper’s. I’m just like you, I can get dirty just standing near my craft supplies!!!!!!!! But, it’s what it’s all about isn’t it? Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
Thanks Mags. I think just letting loose and not working about the mess is just how some people create. I love to start with a clean desk but then by the end of the day it looks like a five year old was playing at it. 😂 Cheers
I had a few papers I had already made on the gel plate....so I was able to play along with you! I used greens and aqua backgrounds (my go to colors) and can't wait to use in some mixed media projects. Love ALL your videos. THANK YOU 💙
Amazing, love the effect the stamps have on the gorgeous papers! I've tried distress inks on the gelli plate, but never looked too much into it, this is so much fun though! Thank you so much for the inspiration and for sharing, take care x
Stop the presses! Clear the desk! New project to try right away!!!I what you have done here today has me very excited!!! Love this idea and the results you got! Can't wait to see if I can get similar results. TFS. Have an excellent weekend! 🥰🙏
Beautiful results from a simple process. Would a piece of board on your table cure the clonking metal noise? No need to buy a new one...Am off to dig out my Gelli plate now. Thanks
Michele I really enjoyed your video. Creative inspiration- thank you! I’ve never been inspire to buy n try a hell plate. But now, yes looking for one now! That’s inspiration. ❤ Will subscribe snd follow! 😊
I love this, Michele. I do a lot of gelli printing, and mine now seem a tad heavy handed. I love this vintagey look you create. I have a pesky question that's been niggling at me ever since you started. When you picked up the Distress inks to use, I cringed. Cause I stay AWAY from water soluble inks on anything that I'm going to later want to glue down or use as a page in a journal. How do you handle the later movement of your inks?
I find the glue will reactive the inks. So I use minimal amount of glue so it doesn’t leak out and move the ink. However if it leaks I just roll the glue until it evaporates and then it no longer effect the ink. Hope that helps.
A long time assuming they are not in the sun. When I do my fine art work I will use acid free. But when I’m playing I just use whatever I can afford. 😊
I love your videos. As you say, you are messy and I am always floored at how neat and tidy your end results are. I think you think very fast and your hands can't keep up. And, BTW, could you consider doing at least one video per day? 😅💓
I like to move fast otherwise I over think things. 😂. Oh I wish I could do this full time. But YT at this time is just a hobby. I struggle to do two videos a week. But thank you so much for the encouragement 😊
I just use a shallow pan warm water and instant coffee. Dip my papers and then place flat to dry. I sometimes add instant coffee grinds to the top of the paper to dissolve for a spotted look. That’s what I do don’t know if it the best method though. Hope that helps 😊
Wonderful info. I will mention again to encourage you to cover your table with a mat or cardboard to keep the clunking and metalic sounds from overwhelming the video. So hard for me to listen to, especially on my headphones. Thanks so much.
@@thecreativecove6898 Bless you, thank you for your calm response to me, thank you for your videos, sorry I'm so touchy and felt the need to comment. Praying for your needs to be met. Pauline.
You can use a CD case as a stamping block.
That’s a great idea. Thank you 😊
This is terrific! I love the idea of deliberately fading inexpensive dyed paper. Your color and method choices work together so well.
Thank you so much!
I'm sun fading some construction paper with stencils laid on top.
such fun play! always love using stamps and ink…it’s instant gratification ❤️
This was a lot of fun! Thank you for all of these ideas! ❤️

Glad you liked it! Thank you 😊
You questioned it, but I LOVE the daffodil stamp!
Great video!! Thank you
Glad you liked it! Thank you 😊
What a great idea adding the different color injs at the end , another great lesson. You don't have to buy vintage paper when you can make your own.
Thanks for teaching us how to do this! If antiqueness wasn’t a word before, it is now! Someone call Websters head office and get it added.
😂
Thanks for sharing these great ideas! The gelli plate is magical, you never know exactly what you'll get. I also love the roll off papers you get when cleaning the brayer. Sometimes they're as interesting as what you create intentionally.
So true! I love the unpredictability of this process 😊
These are beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!

Oh that’s fun! It will give you a whole new texture. Sounds like fun!
I love the effects you achieved! Up to this point I have not really been inspired to play with the gelli plate and paint, but live the inks and stamps. TFS
Wonderful. I am still experimenting myself and have much to learn but so far really love the effects a Gelli plate can create 😊

Ne wr thought to use those inks on my gelli plate only used acrylic before, gonna try this. Also the eraser stamps.

I like the vintage look you got with the inks on the gel plate. Your hand carved stamps are great

Really like your unique creativity. Your method is something that I really want to try. Thank you!
Thank you! Cheers!😊

Love the stamps you made yourself. I made one similar to your favorite out of old pieces of unmounted leftover rubber. Fun stuff!
Great idea!
Love your videos Michelle! Thanks for the inspiration ❤️
Thanks so much!
Beautiful results from a simple process. Would a piece of board on your table cure the clonking metal noise? No need to buy a new one...Am off to dig out my Gelli plate now. Thanks
I might try some layers of fabric. I keep forgetting to add them. Lol
These papers turned out so lovely. Makes me want more distress inks! You were very brave to do this in a white sweater 😏
Haha. I have ruined so many clothes. I do r think I own anything that doesn’t have paint on it. Lol 😊
💜💜💜
wonder what using velum on a gel plate would look like 🤔☺Wonderful creativity Michele!
Great idea!! I think it would give you a different texture since vellum is not very absorbent. Only one way to find out 😊
Michele I really enjoyed your video. Creative inspiration- thank you! I’ve never been inspire to buy n try a hell plate. But now, yes looking for one now! That’s inspiration. ❤ Will subscribe snd follow! 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Just found you today! Enjoyed so much. Incredibly beautiful. Must get the Gelli plate back out & try. Thanks for inspiration.
Awesome! Thank you!😊

If you don't use acid free papers, how long do your art pieces last? I love your work and your tutorials.
A long time assuming they are not in the sun. When I do my fine art work I will use acid free. But when I’m playing I just use whatever I can afford. 😊
I love the results as always you do amazing work of art 😍 PS- are your sleeves still white after this?? 😂 I know mine wouldn’t be 🫣😉
That’s a no! Lol. Nothing I own stays clean. Not sure why I even buy white. 😂
I love your videos. As you say, you are messy and I am always floored at how neat and tidy your end results are. I think you think very fast and your hands can't keep up. And, BTW, could you consider doing at least one video per day? 😅💓

Love the technique
I’m thinking of using Scriptures with old paper I have.
So much fun!
What I can see I like
You are brave wearing a white sweater 😂
Haha yup it’s ruined along with all my other sweaters. 😂
🤩🤩🤩💕💕💕🇩🇰
I'm really impressed I really am but I think I would have used better paper however they are really beautiful
For sure. Use what paper you like. The paper I used was thin but I wanted to use it up 😊
I wanted to see how you achieved your results but it was very difficult with the banging around on your desk.
Yes my apologies. I am trying to resolve that issue
What's the best method for coffee-dying paper?
I just use a shallow pan warm water and instant coffee. Dip my papers and then place flat to dry. I sometimes add instant coffee grinds to the top of the paper to dissolve for a spotted look. That’s what I do don’t know if it the best method though. Hope that helps 😊

I have a few more videos coming that I haven’t done that with yet. Bear with me I will in the next filming. So sorry. I hate that sound as well 😊
Some of what you are doing we can’t see you doing it
Sorry 😞
Soooo, it's been 3 days since this video was published. I guess you just are going to ignore my humble request for one video per day. (sigh)
Lol. I’d I had the funds I’d be all over it. 😂
@@thecreativecove6898 😅
Hi, I've had to watch with no sound, do you work on a metal desk......I know it's me, but the sound is so clonky
Sorry. It’s a hollow desk. Trying to resolve it. I don’t have the funds for a new desk at this time. Sorry

you've created beautiful papers - love the color scheme - thx for sharing 😍
