I film and edit and everything all day and upload around 10pm to midnight that evening placing the vlog on private till the next morning when I awake between 6-8am . Last night something went screwy and this went live for about 15 seconds before I could fix it. If you were confused by this my apologies.
Very cool vlog, thank you! Those subs were very warm and humid to be on underwater with the diesel engines running and showers were very rare because you couldn't waste the water. You can imagine what it smelled like with all those sweaty bodies on there and that was the least of their worries during WWII. My hats off to those brave men.
so glad you went on the Cavalla Adam.. My grandpa served on her in WW2. I have a picture of him standing at those same wheels you were turning. Thanks man!
I haven't seen this place in 20 years! I would go run around on the ship and submarine while my dad would fish. This park was part of the reason I joined the Navy. Thanks for sharing this spot!!!
I enjoy watching you I need the morning and seeing what's to come. I work six days a week and have no time for a life. you let me travel with you and see places I will never see in my life time and I thank you, Josh and the carpet bagger for what yua'll do. Donovan Nimeth.
That was a fantastic answer (& a great question!) in regards to going back in time! Hoping to have my morning coffee with the Woo for many years to come :)
Adam: If the old wreck was built in 1919, she could not have been built to serve in World War II, as that war didn't occur until 20 years later. She would have been a tad late for even WW I, though if her construction got under way during that war and she wasn't ready until '19 she may have been intended to serve in the First World War. The crank in the sub turned a magneto to ring a signal bell at the station being called. And, the game is not called badgammon, it's backgammon. Perhaps you were thinking of badminton and got your words crossed.
How could anyone be negative about your videos?! No click bait, no over hype, no games, no BS. Just the Woo doing his thing being pretty excited about stuff and showing us a thing or two. You Sir should never let the haters get to you!
The device you were turning was the ringer for the sound powered phone. Like the old phones in rural areas. The dial was for the channels for different areas to communicate with each other. I used them when I was on board the US Saratoga CV-60, stationed out of Navel Station Mayport Florida.
Someone has probably covered this already, but the handle on the side of the intercom at 4:56 drives a magneto. The switch on the front is to select the location which you want to call, so you set the switch and wind the handle to make the desired party "ring" on the other end.
In old war movies, the crank on the telephone seemed to be for making the other end ring, which usually didn't sound like a ring but a whoop, whoop, whooop sound. Land based field telephones worked on the same principle, the crank was used to ring the other end of the line and no cranking was required after that. Another great vlog Adam!
Never in a million years would I have thought, I would enjoy watching a daily vlog. I watch everyday and its 100% because of you and your positive attitude. I will be honest though, I found your vlog by watching your early abandoned videos on your main channel. Thanks and keep up the hard work. Glad to see people pitching in to your Patreon account to help fuel the woo. Thanks again.
Adam the 2 boxes on the Submarine are as follows the Top box was referred to the Bitch Box simply push the silver button to the station you wanted to call and press the talk button to speak, the 2nd box was called the Growler you select the station you wanna call and you crank the handle fast the receiving station heard a crazy loud growl and both stations would talk..... The phone was missing....great post
another great vlog, I love the abandon ship...I always felt like my love of old cemeteries, abandon places, out of the way little towns, old relics of any kind was strange, until I started watching your vlogs.... thank you for everything you do to bring us fun, interesting, enjoyable vlogs... glad you are feeling better... safe travels and lots of love from Seattle!
I don't blame you about not visiting Minnesota until it warms up...please know though that my offer does stand...you can stay in our home. Lots to see and do (and take the Majestic out for a flight) here. Thank you again for taking us along on your journeys!
So happy he did not listen to the Na Sayers, He goes to places I could never go and brings theses places into my home. So thank you Adam the Woo for your videos.
Your videos help keep me grounded and help make my day. Life is a tough balance. I like many others have a child with disabilities, your random vlogs help me to escape life. Thank you, Adam.
Adam, just wanted to say thanks for all of your efforts and commitment to producing these daily vlogs. I don't watch much TV anymore, but I watch TDW every morning! Your positivity and commitment are inspiring.
Look forward to your vlogs!! Keep doing what you do, Adam!! I appreciate the passion you put into your videos! Places I may never see but thanks to you I tag along with you vicariously and see them!! See you tomorrow!!
So nice to see that the fog cleared off so that you could actually see the water and beyond today. I enjoyed the tour of the submarine. I enjoyed Ask Adam The Woo. Have a nice day!
Thanks for another great vlog i look forward to them evrry day. I am a disabled veteran and cant get out much so through you i can see places i would never get to go to. Until nect time.
Glad to see you in Galveston Adam!! The ship you are viewing was used by the navy for target practice, its hull was filled with cement and shot at. Enjoy your time here.
This spoke so very much to my claustrophobia. I've never been able to go inside it. The story goes that the "face" moved when they attempted to "clean" it off.
Adam, your a great guy. I consider myself fortunate to have found you on utube. I love what your doing and I wait for each day to watch where your travels take you. Thank you, love you and enjoy ur day. 🙋💜
You are in the state where my sister is and it's great to see what type of landscape she is in,I live in the forest so thanks for the area for us all. Karla
None of us fans have ever thought your vids were dumb, or would belittle in anyway.. you stuck at it Adam, took the chance.. and look at you now. You're doing something you love, not many people can honestly say the same. This is what life is truly about... keep safe on the road with Large Marge
Thanks Adam the ships were awesome. We have the USS Midway here, it's amazing! I went on an aircraft carrier here in San Diego when they come back after being on a 6 month deployment. Pretty cool. Thanks got my WOO FIX for the day!!!!!! Whoop stay safe!!!!😀😀😀
Good video Adam. You have mad drone skills! In my 20 years as U.S. Marine (1965-1985) and member of an amphibious raider battalion I worked lots with naval ships including submarines. Submarines were my least favorite. Hat's off to those fellows.
There’s also some concrete ships in in bay near Galveston. The building at Sea Wolf Park was originally built to resemble the conning tower of a Sea Wolf Submarine.
ADAM! Just missed you in Galveston! We were on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas leaving Galveston on the 21st. I was standing on the balcony looking at that shipwreck and the submarine and imagined that would be a great Wooventure for you and now that I'm back from Jamaica I am pleased to see you checked it out. If only we had crossed paths would have loved to meet you dude! It's a small world after all!
Hey Adam just wanted to say that people like me who can't travel to different places, we live through you and your videos . Besides you have a fun quirkiness that everyone enjoy seeing when you do your videos so keep up the excellent job because we are still joining you.
I thank you Adam for your videos once again. I think God for you and pray for you and hope to meet you soon. I'm in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. I really did love the tour of the submarine especially because I find submarines fascinating even though I was on a destroyer for 4 years while serving the Navy back in the 1980s. Thank you for touring the ships. I hope you still can go to USS Texas unless it's way out of your way and I would understand that if you couldn't go. Thank you once again for showing parts of America, that we would never knew existed. It gives me a new appreciation for my country. I thank God that you continue to do these videos and I hope you remain encouraged to do more and more. God bless...
Robert Moore Thank you for your service to our great country, Robert! Not enough people recognize and thank those of you who served and protected our country and way of life for us!
AAW..."Ask Adam the Woo" is an interesting addition to yr channel - personalizing in multiple ways: giving us & u glimpses of who's who behind the Woo, who're the ppl watching u, & what's on their minds, too. We get a bit of that via commentary, but brief video inquiry clips bring it full circle, thru the looking glass/monitor, as it were. I like the interactive aspect, it's fun sometimes to just passively watch things happen, but involvement affects content, even if only in teeny ways, & adds a 'lil spontaneity to an already "what's he gonna get into next" adventure series. Roll on, Woo.
Cant wait for the Vacation location video! I know you've covered a couple of them already but one BIG video with as many as you can find will be friggin awesome! We are with you every step of the way Mr Woo. A&Bx
Great vlog Adam! Definitely one of your more interesting ones. Loved the submarine adventure, the Majestic ship tour and the Q and A. You certainly got a lot into there. See you tomorrow. =)
ask Adam is simply the best! ive been following ever since the Friday The 13th filming location and it was simply magic. Thank you for all you do kind sir! live simply, smile simply.
Don't blame you for staying out of the cold areas Adam. We had a ice storm in Kansas City Mo this weekend, fortunately it wasn't as bad as was predicted.
Oh my gosh, that guy laying down asking his question looks like the Cowardly Lion on Wizard of Oz, very cool!!!!!!! Thanks for taking us all along with you on your most awesome journey Adam!!!!!!! As for when the Lord is coming, no one knows!!!!
good afternoon Adam 🖒 I absolutely love the way you talk to the animals on your adventures you're almost like Dr Adam the "Woo little" if you will lol 😃😃😃😃
I think that the crank thing on that callbox was a generator, that probably was used to generate a signal to ring whatever place in the submarine they were "dialing" to. Just like the old generator cranks on the very first telephones, to dial the operator and get a call completed.
I got so pumped when notified about this vlog last night! "Two vlogs in one day!" I said. Too good to be true. Worth the wait as always. Have a great day Adam!
Sooooo I have scrolled through like a bazillion comments on here & cannot believe that I am the only one that totally nerded out in the beginning of the video when Adam quoted The Princess Bride. ~Sigh~ sad little nerd girl 😆😆😆

I've always thought about doing what you do just driving around small towns living on the road and enjoying life. just the necessary belongings. Charlie Brown well Charlie you can enable post notifications which sends you an alert the moment something uploads.
Woodyoncp True, combined with not having a life and being on the computer all day. I guess that would do it.

Seeing that shipwreck up close was great! The Majestic comes through again!
your doing what you love and thats the most precious thing.
I haven't seen this place in 20 years! I would go run around on the ship and submarine while my dad would fish. This park was part of the reason I joined the Navy. Thanks for sharing this spot!!!

That is awesome. I have only ever seen the sunken ship from the Ferry. So it is cool to see it up close. I love the Q&A.

Tiffanie Johnson Thank you! I only did 4 years, because many did much more than I, but I am glad I did my share. I appreciate your comment! 😊😊😊😊
He was right across the street of the USS Texas when he was at the San Jacinto Monument in La Porte. I toured that ship it was amazing!
No Chinese parts on that bad boy

I believe the crank is a generator that rings an alarm or bell-great video-thanks!
ask Adam is simply the best! ive been following ever since the Friday The 13th filming location and it was simply magic. Thank you for all you do kind sir! live simply, smile simply.
So happy to see Galveston! I've always loved the look of Seawolf Park, sad to see the building in such sad shape.
Representing connecticut and electric boat! You ever been to CT. Adam? Go see the sub base and get some pizza at mystic pizza!
Don't blame you for staying out of the cold areas Adam. We had a ice storm in Kansas City Mo this weekend, fortunately it wasn't as bad as was predicted.
Great video as always... Love the majestic shots.
Oh my gosh, that guy laying down asking his question looks like the Cowardly Lion on Wizard of Oz, very cool!!!!!!!

good afternoon Adam 🖒 I absolutely love the way you talk to the animals on your adventures you're almost like Dr Adam the "Woo little" if you will lol 😃😃😃😃
Wendy Ross ~ good one!! :)

Another great VLOG, Adam. Some great fishing there off of that Seawolf Park pier, BTW.
Great vlog Adam. Loved the submarine and ship and answers to questions. You did a fantastic job!
That was great Adam! Loved the ask Adam the Wooo! segment. I hate the fact that you had to deal with people talking crap and running you down. I feel like I would have to control myself if I ever saw you again I literally bumped into you on the last day of the Mark Twain in Disneyland, And It felt like running into your brother after not seeing him for a year. Love what your doing and I hope you continue to enjoy the circle of goodness for many years to come.
Awesome footage from the Majestic, Mr Woo! Very cool to see that shipwreck. 👍😎🚢
That ship at about 9:26 I saw the same type of boat at st.simons GA back in April
Going inside the submarine ships was very cool. I could only imagine living and working on one of those. Have a great day Adam.
Adam daaaaa Wooooooo! Absolutely love the videos and your mixture of urban exploring with simply exploring your surroundings in the last few videos! Next time you are in Indiana, look us up! Would love to do an Urbex video with you!
had a uncle who worked to restore that sub!! thanks for taking the time to film it.
In Baltimore, Maryland The Inner Harbor has a submarine as well other old ships that are open to the public to tour, which I did. The inside of a submarine is a tight fit when walking around in it. Historic Ships Of Baltimore is the site.
Awesome video and great Drone footage as well!
Very full vlog. Great views with majestic. thanks for bringing us into your world.
That's the Seawolf Park Pavilion that was badly damaged during Hurricane ike and has never been repaired. also the cement ship is a popular fishing spot.
That box, that you crank, on the sub is whats called a growler (it doesn't growl though, the sound it makes is more of a whistle). Typically used with sound powered phones, can select different channels and the crank is for the annunciator. Almost all ships have them. I see that Dave Hughes has named you #1 vloger! He's pretty eccentric but his reviews are pretty spot on! Love the vids, nice transition to RV, you didn't miss a beat! You're the first video I watch every morning with my coffee! Fellow Bassist...
Awesome stuff!! Keep doing what your doing and to heck with the negative people. Great drone shots of the shipwreck, and great tour of the sub!! Thanks for doing what you do! I dont get to travel any, so your videos do my travelling for me.
Awesome Adam!...I love watching ships traveling. I have no idea why I live in IL when being near the ocean and watching the ships, hearing the waves and the smell does my heart so good! I predict you are headed to Mexico? You had said that you wanted to go down there. Stay safe!
Loved the Periscope pun!
For a brief moment late last night, I thought I was going to see TWO Daily Woos in a day. Lol!
Captfenway 99 I was fortunate enough to send it to my Chromecast before Adam removed it
Tony E I saw it last night about 11pm.
Captfenway 99 I saw it too I got so excited
Tony E - where can I get a Chromecast?
Karen Lindsey Wal-Mart or Best Buy, even eBay or Amazon. They have a 4K version either recently released or soon to be released
Adam your videos are appealing because you're a rambling man. Love you too.
Thanks for doing these videos and hanging in there!
Good vlog today Adam, nice to see the fog has gone. The Q&A was excellent, real good questions and replies.
Your stuff has really trended into being some seriously inspirational shit. I mean that in the kindest fashion, there is a down-to-earth, blue collar approach to your stuff that I think people really relate to. Safe travels my friend, all good.
The drone footage was excellent, and the rest of the video is pretty good as well. Good job sir
Great work! My family and I watch everyday. love it
I've always thought about doing what you do just driving around small towns living on the road and enjoying life. just the necessary belongings. I'm a firm believer in the idea of what you own owns you. and I've been trying to slowly scale back what I own (something that is very difficult for a hoarder like myself) so I can one day hit the road in the same way you did but for now I live vicariously through your daily vlogs 👍
Love WW2 stuff can't get enough! Thanks Adam!! Really enjoy ASK the Woo also!!
you should ride the free ferry over to Bolivar peninsula and back
