Adam, all through my youth, I had a mortal fear of speaking in public and was generally shy as heck. In 7th grade, my mother strongly encouraged me to participate in our school speech contest. She picked the famous courtroom speech spoken by Atticus from To Kill a Mockingbird. I practiced for over two weeks and gave the speech (boy was I nervous) -- I took second place. I was later pulled aside by our principal, Sister Mary (Catholic grade school) and was privately told that I should have taken first place, she was moved that much. Thanks for the town visit and for jogging my old brain cells -- it was nice to reminisce!
Robert Duvall! Suggestion. Third channel?? The AdVentures of Adam & Jacob! Or Adam & Jacob's Wild Kingdom. You guys rock! No google one of my favorite books. Rip Harper Lee
Adam, I used to live about ten miles north of Monroeville, back in the early 60's. What a life. There is much more to see in that area. Check out Tunnel Springs, up from Monroeville. There is an abandoned tunnel on the rail line that was built in the 1800's. Find it---shall you?? But only if you dare.
Yay Carpetbagger!! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, including some very creepy places... I'm sure several have mentioned it already, but the wheeled contraption with the straps is a golf bag caddy. It's somewhat beat up, but it looks exactly like the one my dad got in the early '70s for Christmas.
hi Adam your team up videos with Jacob the carpetbagger are some of my favorites. you guys inspired us to do a road trip in the south over the winter holiday and we got to go up to Georgia and South Carolina and North Carolina. thank you very much for the videos you make and sharing your adventures
1:32 golf bag buggie thingy -thanks Adam loved this book -studied novels at university so I was chuffed to see the buildings -much appreciated 💙loved this video !!!!
I was pleasantly surprised to see Jake the Carpetbagger with you. I'm glad you have someone to be with you to explore since you are by yourself most of the time. Have a great day, Adam. Thank you for another great vlog!
This has to be one of my favorite vlogs you've done, Adam. I adore Harper Lee and Truman Capote, so seeing all their old stomping grounds really made my day!
WOW ! Atticus would be proud. The craxy dog the mindful cow the guillotine the buzzards the shots from the majestic the court house this was a stellar vlog! Our country has soo history and stories. Adam your keeping it alive. The souls from these old abandoned places and buildings, must be looking down smilling realizing how much we enjoy the Nostalgia of America that these people unknowingly created. Adam it's hard to put into words how much I appreciate that your dad got into photography and you picked up and ran with it. you have a wonderful family and America is blessed by it.
Brilliant vid as ever. There's so much action in this one it's like The perfect blend between Adam the woo and the daily woo! What amazing evolution over the past 12 months!
HOORAY! I get to watch both Adam *and* Jacob on my birthday! My two favorites! :-) What a great vlog, guys!! Be safe with the wintry weather coming in.
To Kill a Mockingbird was required reading for me in the 9th or 10th grade. I think I read it it 3 or 4 times. Still have a copy somewhere. Fantastic video today. Love the abandon buildings.
Thanks for your unbounding energy in locating amazing places!! Happy to see Jacob with you. To me you are the Dynamic Duo of vloggers!! Love you guys!!
Fun to watch when you meet up with Jacob. You have great friends. Something was swimming in the river, seen in your drone shots near the grain silo. Loved the vlog!
Great watching these blogs is really interesting as living in England I guess Alabama is somewhere I will never visit. Its just how I imagined it to be. To have 'hitchcock would be proud' AND the Arnie voice in same blog was golden.
The donkey at 3:10 is actually a roping steer. It stands in for the real thing when when folks are practicing calf or steer roping. There appears to be a lariat hung from the horns, stiffer than regular rope it holds a round loop. The "steer" is also located inside a roping pen. The mechanical steer is cheaper than having a bunch of real cattle to practice roping, also more cow friendly and you don't have to feed them. From Texas, watched the process many times.
Adam, I really enjoy watching your collaborations with Jacob the Carpet Bagger. It's fun to watch two friends going on adventures. The best part of it all, you both don't curse.
Glad you were safe from the storms. Hope you'll enjoy my home state, watching your vlogs sure makes me miss it. Perhaps someday you can check out Scottsboro, Huntsville, and Florence up north there yonder.
"Stand up Miss Jean Louise. Your father is passing." I got goosebumps seeing you in the courthouse from "To Kill A Mockingbird". It's one of my favorite movies.
That courthouse was blowing my mind too! To Kill A Mockingbird is my favorite book and one of my favorite movies ever! Loving these Large Marge vlogs : )
My Grandmother took me to see the movie when I was 8. There were certain adult themes that went over my head at that age. I loved Scout and Jem and, could relate to them. Thank you for visiting the courthouse!
Even though it was still light out, I was a little creeped out when you were both driving down that old road to the grain elevator. I kept waiting for someone or something to jump out of the woods. The birds circling overhead didnt help any.😰😰😰
during the exploration, it reminded me of your older videos when you went exploring inside abandoned places. I hope to see more of those videos. Also, a cool thing to do with old maps like the one in the school, see if it still says U.S.S.R or if it says Russia.
Adam, I just got into watching daily vloggers within the last few years. In that time there have been a number that I have started, followed, then fell away from watching. Only yours and TheTimTrackers vlogs are the ones that I have stuck with and make a point to watch everyday. Keep up the good work! And Carpetbagger, I love your videos too, you should start daily vlogging!
I just rewatched To Kill a Mockingbird like two weeks ago so seeing the courthouse it was modeled from was amazing!! Thank you! I love when you and Jacob are together too :)
I use to work for IGA... its now a Save alot..and no you aint saving nothing..hahah..i love those loud church ringing bells..when i lived in Kentucky I would listen to those church bells every sunday or what ever day they rang..i miss it..
I found a house like that in the middle of the woods. Completely abandoned, nothing near it at all, no roads or paths. I went back the next year and it had burned down. Just the house, none of the trees, some of which had grown up right next to it, burned, though some were singed. It was really bizarre, and lucky the whole forest didn't go up.
Awesome entrance! SO HAPPY TO SEE JACOB WITH YOU!--The Adventures of Woo and Porkchop! I cannot believe that cow listened to you and went behind the fence!! Cow whisperer? Have fun guys.
We have an IGA in Pittsburgh, PA. It's actually pretty new, been around for a few years. So there is still IGAs around. I actually watched the To Kill a Mockingbird movie in Language Arts. The courthouse is amazing I have to agree with you.
The word pew actually derived from an original Latin word that signified more than one podium, or podia. Over the centuries the word evolved and the concept of an elevated seating box or pedestal seating was introduced. This seating box, which was basically an enclosed bench with small steps and a gate for access, was usually meant for VIPs at major gatherings or for certain families of a particular social rank to always sit in church. This raised seating took on the Old French word puie, which means “balcony” or “elevation.”
To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my favorite movies. As I recall, Robert Duvall (Boo Radley) had no dialog at all in the movie. It was Duvall's very first movie role (he had worked in TV for a few years prior.) Also, Harper Lee and Truman Capote were collaborators for many years. She helped him during his research of the Clutter murders for his book "In Cold Blood."
Great video, awesome drone footage, and wow, I don't know why but I really like it when Adam hangs out with the Carpetbagger!
The unicycle thing is actually a cart for your golf bag.
that makes sense actually. Hope all is well . Happy new year
adamthewoo its an oxygen wheeler
It’s for carrying bottles of gas or Oxy.

Robert Duvall! There is an IGA still operating where I live in Pullman,WA. My husband even works there. It's not that fantastic.
The closed factory at 1:00 is an old cotton gin. The old ones all look the same & they’re everywhere in the South.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Jake the Carpetbagger with you. I'm glad you have someone to be with you to explore since you are by yourself most of the time. Have a great day, Adam. Thank you for another great vlog!

There was an IGA here in Phoenix, AZ when I was in high school many moons ago in 2002.
Wow Adam a lot of creepy things out there in the whole world I guess thanks for the log that was awesome
you put a bag of golf clubs on that.
yup you are correct sir it is for a golfer to wheel his golf bag around on instead of paying a caddy.
I think it's called a caddy. Like the person. Not the car.
ya its an oxygen tank holder wheeler
Bit too big for that. It's a golf caddy; my dad had one that was exactly the same.
+MrJest2 not if it's used for hauling oxygen tank for welding
One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOKS!!!
I like when he teams up with the CarpetBagger

Thinking at one point that school was used as a haunted house.
Cliff Hartle I believe you are right :)
Me too, and the door was for running through, like Jason breakking in.
Cliff Hartle ditto. Haunted house.
the school was for the really bad childrens.
John Wilson I thought the school house area was either a haunted house or a movie location
Ayyyy you went to my hometown Frisco City and Monroeville!!
It is a golf bag caddie. The cart in the beginning of the video with the two wheels.
Cool, an introduction in stereo!
I love these videos Adam, its nice to see small town america.
Your the man!! Love your videos!!!
Adam, your videos always make my day a little better. Thanks for that, buddy.
