Awesome video thanks, my sons wife car overheated a few times so she brought the car to me and felt all the hoses around the thermostat and all was real hot but the bottom hose going to the lower radiator. So that information I know will help me not make any mistakes. Thank you
I'm currently trying to reassemble one on a 2005 Freestyle. Same exact setup. I didn't know about the alignment portion, but when I bolt the housing together, there is always a tiny separation between the upper and lower halves that leaks coolant. Now I'm wondering if that alignment will allow a complete closure of the housing. Guess I'll be trying that tomorrow. I hate working on cars.
Same thing happened to me im pretty sure I aligned it correctly but not entirely sure the video at least helped get a sense of what is going on but ill try tomorrow again 🥲

@@zeldfep I did manage to get everything together so there were no more leaks.
how do you get the thermostat to stay up in the housing? it just wants to fall out
I see what the instructions say but i dont see how that could possibly affect flow.
