Another point I realized when I was looking for my first boat is Bass Boats aren't made for tall people, I am 6"4 and couldn't fit comfortablely in them. My Deep V is very comfortable.
On Texas lakes, bass boats are everywhere & are very useful tools! If a deep V works for Alaska, use it. However, bass boats work great here. They are super quick, and their fishing platform is tremendous for two person fishing, standing or sitting. We're not worried about big waves or storms on these lakes. If that happens to be going on, we can drink beer on the porch and tell fish stories until it clears ;) Also, their ability to get in close to shallow areas with brush or other debris that bass like to hide in is superior to the deep V. A lot of people run with a good trolling motor on board, and sometimes power poles to get in & enjoy the sweet fishing holes. This whole it has to be one or the other mindset is ridiculous. Use what's best for your particular situation.
@Tommy1198S Put it on the waters of the Gulf of Alaska and you'll quickly find out why we called them Sissy boats... say hi to the Coast Guard when they rescue you!
"Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he will stay in the Fishing Section all day. Give him a fish boat, he'll be "fixing it up" and in debt all his life!"

In Alaska we referred to Bass boats as "Sissy boats". 😂
We call 'em glitter rockets
Try that sissy boat at 80+ mph and see if its still sissy.

Personally I have zero use for a bass boat & see absolutely zero purpose for one either. Looks like to me that it will only swamp faster & sink.
'I don't like it so no one should have one!!! Waaaaa!'
