When he said he hoped in the future he would come to Europe as an entertainer .. my heart kinda broke. He never got to see the world but thankfully the world is still getting to see him 🤍 forever thankful for elvis .
His voice and laugh is so sweet and beautiful, what a gorgeous man. So sad he never got to come back in Europe, one of the biggest regrets of his career I think 🥲
Such an intelligent man Elvis was, 24 going on 54 here. Such a shame his dreams of performing around the world never came to fruition. A big lost opportunity in music history. He will never be forgotten though and his legacy will live on forever and his music is immortal. The Undisputed King of Rock and Roll always and forever.
Such a nice guy, so polite, so rational yet sensitive, so intelligent. This side of him is hardly ever covered. Also how he engineered his career and his music is seldom reflected by the media. Just as an example if you think what Elvis made of himself after 1967. He had tremendously progressed already in 1968, but then went even further in 1969 with this Nashville records and his early live performances in Las Vegas. And then he created yet again a new Elvis, which would stand in front of big orchestra and redefine live music by touring the greatest halls of america. That is just amazing. Like many other commentators I never really understood what had started somewhere in 1971, but as it seems, he just became gradually a victim of the prescribed drugs. I think they were all naive to that and did not think of side- or longterm effects or they thought they had it under control. Sadly there was nobody strong enough to stop Elvis from destroying himself in 1976 and after.
Listen to this humbly, respectful guy makes me sad. Such a nice person. What exactly went wrong I never understood. I don't want to blame anyone anyway. Cause I know or at least think, that we all are responsible for our own lives. So he was. But then again I feel so much with that sensitive soul, makes me crying. Thank you for uploading it.
Elvis had many inherited genetic problems. People are pretty clueless about this. Elvis suffered in 9 of the 11 bodily systems that each of us had and 5 were present from birth. Even without his fame and fortune it is unlikely he would have lived beyond his mid 40s. He was a carrier of Alpha 1, just like his mother. Elvis grandparents were first cousins. That is where the genetic problems came from. He was immuno compromised. Elvis mother and 3 of her siblings all died in their 40s / 50s. All from liver and heart issues. For Elvis this was was unavoidable. Elvis suffered from glaucoma, liver issues, heart issues, hypertension, insomnia, diabetes, arthritis, back pain, chronic constipation, tonsillitis, exhaustion and on and on. That would be enough to carry anyone off early. I would like to see anyone survive all that by refusing medication. He took prescription medication drugs to help him function in life NOT not to get high. That is a massive difference to many other entertainers. Elvis performed in one show every 2.5 days in the last 7 years of his life. He should not have been on stage at the end but in a hospital bed. His manager was a disgusting individual who cared nothing for his one and only star and instead drained the poor man dry right up to the end. For all that he gave us his all. A beautiful person with a charisma, voice and looks that has never been equalled.
@@quentinquentin6752 I know all this but as English is not my first language it's often too difficult for me to write as much as you just did here. I often would love to shout it out every time i read these unfair and ignorant comments about Elvis. Thank you again. Hopefully you will write comments like this in as many comment columns as possible. God bless you!
Elvis always gave great interviews from day 1. Reporters couldn’t put anything over on him even though many tried! He was a master at being interviewed!
Going to Germany was the BEST thing for Elvis to do after his mothers death. The timing was perfect. It would've been harder for Elvis to do all the music and touring right after her death. It wouldn't have felt right....and, knowing Elvis, a living legend of his unprecedented level couldn't just take a leave of absence to grieve. He would've gone right back into touring and it would've been bad for him. Serving his country made him proud, despite the massive loss he recently suffered at the time.
I do not think so. For Elvis as an artist, it was a waste of time, including the time he was making films. His talent was singing, not serving in the army. He also never overcame his mother's death.
Er ist so herrlich autentisch und bescheiden . Ein Mensch der durch sein grosses Herz für immer in den gegen der Menschen bleiben wird. Er ist unumstritten der King . Ich hätte ihn fürchterlich gerne live gesehen und gehört .

It so "rare" that I have it three times.... Also I find Elvis is slightly patronizing and sounds like he doesn't want to be there and cannot wait to for it to end
Andrew Demetrius you didn't get it, it's people around Elvis pushing it while he takes as much time as she needs including translating. Elvis was very respectful and yes it's a rare recording no matter if you have it or not
Andrew Demetrius Indeed, I do sense a decided attitude issue here...neither with Presley nor his interviewer, but with the author of the needlessly cynical comment.

He was lonely and scared his fans would forget him !he needed to grieve
@@boris.dupont Ma cosa stai dicendo. Sua mamma era malata come lo erano i suoi genitori , e lo stesso male lo ha ereditato ELVIS.

Love him
He never came back to 🇩🇪 for a concert 😢
Sadly parker clipped Elvis' wings.
I wonder what they are talking about ... translates to me .... Thanks Valeria / Brazil
Valéria Silva in which language?
Listen to this in mono to reveal special effekt
So sad that his dream of performing in Europe did not materialise.
I admire his view on his role as a soldier.
Die Reporterin hat sich am Anfang vertan. Es war nicht so, dass Elvis die Titel der Songs nicht kannte, er durfte sie nur nicht preisgeben :)
Cool
Grandpa was in the army with him.

Interesting.....
Yeah so clear lol
Interesting, but why so short?
Elvis in der amerikanischen "Hauptstadt der Bewegung" Munich
How sad he never got to tour internationally, it was because they say Col Parker did not have a passport and could not go out of the US.
God damn, I was stationed in Germany I never got to grown my hair that long?
chucknchar T the army used Elvis for publicity when he came back so he was allowed to grow his hair just before that although he'd hide it under his cap

Elvis: Honey, I love all kinds of girls!!
It Hardly Does NOT Sound Like The Real Elvis, Even I KNOW I IS...............
Schlager!!! he doesn't sing Schlager!!!
LoL, he was a Soldier, not an entertainer. Why didn't they give him a break ?
How does he know what she is saying ????
Probably there was a translator
Somebody is translating for him. As they do nowadays. Even they do it for the Politicians.
J Kealy Are you listening?? She IS talking English and after that she repeats in German what he said.
No sound
an der übersetzung happerts aber... sehr frei interpretiert
