Andrew Lincoln and Tom Payne are really Talented the accents they have on the show are not there Talking accents and there really good unfortunately Lauren Cohen can't completely change her accent
The scene with Negan at the end (S07E01) really reminded me of that BIBLE moment when God has asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac to Him, just to test Abraham's devotion and faith... AND just like God (!) Negan calls out and stops Rick just in time! :-O NEGAN = GOD! Funny thing that it's actually the Abraham character who ends up dead! I remember I felt soooo utterly worn out (somewhat like the characters!) after that whole season 7 premiere episode - awww!
but the parallel is OBVIOUS - because at THAT moment, Rick is TOTALLY SUBMITTED to Negan's will, he cannot escape it, he has no other choice but to obey event if it trears his heart open...
