Zero food waste practice tips in daily life, zero waste routine

Apple and Peanut Butter Dog Treats
1 cup apple, peeled & finely diced (I used apple pulp)
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cups oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 large eggs, well beaten
3 tbsp peanut butter (Remember to double check that your peanut butter does not contain Xylitol. This sweetener is highly toxic to dogs.)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2. Place the diced apples in a mixing bowl. Add the flour, oats, salt, and cinnamon to the bowl and mix until combined.
3. Whisk together the beaten eggs with the peanut butter then add to the apple mixture and mix until combined.
4. Working on a floured surface, kneed the dough 3-4 times until it comes together. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Using a dog treat cutter, cut out the desired shapes, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
5. Bake until golden brown and crisp, about 30-35 minutes. Cool completely and store in an airtight container in the freezer or refrigerator.
6. Let your furry babies enjoy!
