No foiling works with an Empress. Well you can use the Empress with the Duo Gel that doesn't require heat but only requires pressure.If you want to ink blend color to those letters from the "waste" foil, if you don't like the white showing. Thanks for a Great video Nichol 🤩

I have the glimmer but didn't have much luck .so haven't done much .maybe because I use my big shot. My local hobby lobby have the spell binder. Hammer mill can be bought at local offic stores
Thanks for doing this Nichol! I think the area that didn’t foil on the butterfly was from the sticker on the foil, as it was a new roll. Just got my Gemini foil system and hope to play with it next weekend.
It was the impression of the tape/adhesive that was on the holographic foil for packaging purposes that transferred to the butterfly background. I had my fingers crossed it would not mess up the butterfly

Kristina Werner has been using an Empress and I think Jennifer McGuire as well. I have a Big Shot and the Glimmer works great and I haven't needed a shim with it. Mind you, I haven't done a lot of foiling but really like it.
My son bought me a ream if the hammermill cardstock 110lb for $13 and change off Amazon and paid a few $ for fast shipping and got it same day otherwise I would have to wait almost a week so it was worth it to me. Haven't foiled with it yet but wanted to let you know

The mistake in foiling was from the tape that was on the new roll of foil at 56:10. I watched you cut down the center of the tape but you didn't remove the tape from the new foil roll. My husband helped me figure this out.

I dug out my Gemini Foil Press machine after watching the video. I noticed that there is a solid metal plate included with it. Does anyone know if it can be used to foil the negative? I have not tried it yet. I am waiting for the sentiments foil plate and die.
I have a Gemini Foil Press too, you mention a solid metal plate - are you referring to the thin metal plate, because I assumed that was a shim. Maybe you received a plate that I didn’t receive … is the plate you’re using as thick as the plate Nicole is using in this video ? I’m really curious !

Please don't edit the lives, that's half the fun! I personally would rather you spend the time you would be editing showing us cool things or having that time for you and your family. Of course such things are up to you, but editing a live to me takes a lot of the fun of it being real and candid. Sorry I'm a week late, I do hope you get to read this. Crafty hugs, Angie
