Paragliding is so much fun. I learned to be a paraglider pilot last summer here in the USA. Flying in the clouds like that would make me super nervous. With no visibility, it would be easy to get turned around, and run into something (trees, hills, mountains, buildings, etc) that you just didn't see coming. We aren't supposed to fly in clouds here due to the added danger of not being able to see / be seen. There is other air traffic to worry about too. Looks like you were probably getting ridge-lift. Where the wind blowing up the hill keeps you aloft. Usually means you can't get much higher than the hill top, but if the conditions are right, you can just boat around for hours. You pilot must have gotten a bit too low, and the wind weakened enough he couldn't make it back to launch. So you got lucky and got an extended flight! Out here, Tandem flights for tourists usually only last 6-10 minutes, but there usually isn't much, if any lift potential since the tourist site gets thermals instead of ridge lift.
Your vlogs are superb. It definitely looked worth it climbing all those stairs to the top of the rock, amazing view. And I really liked the footage while descending, especially when it was all clouds. You show it as it is, not editing those parts out. And the colours of all the houses were so vibrant! Was the crepe good?
Thanks Martin! I'd love to say the crepe was good but if I'm completely honest, it was highly underwhelming 😂 can't complain purchasing cheap food though!
I have never considered Colombia at all, just did not have it on my radar. Thanks to you I started to be very interest in going there and have started learning Spanish! Thanks so much Christianne for your videos, daily inspirations and tips. I am very glad you made it home safely. (Oh and do you think you could make a video on learning how to do a cartwheel and handstand? I am always so envious when I see you doing it and now with a lot of time I would love to learn it finally) Lots of love, Carolin
Ah Carolin this has made my day 😍😍 I'm continuing to learn my Spanish at home as well! Deffo considering doing some handstand tutorials at some point 😊
Very much needed video! With the stress of now doing uni all online, I’m so excited to watch this video! It looks gorgeous! Definitely somewhere I’d love to visit, especially as my boyfriend can speak Spanish xx
Again.. a great vlog Christianne....!paragliding must be a thrill and inside the clouds wow..never saw that before...una gran Experience y Bello recuerdo para tu vida ..probably in 20 years time you will look at that and say wow..That Was something...Felicitaciones..!!
Guatape is especially well known for its delicious trout dishes (it isnext to a lake, after all), and there is a host of other top restaurants popping up in the town as it becomes more well known among the traveller community.
Loving this video series!! If possible, would you please be able to do a sum up video of each country like the ones you’ve done before? ☺️ where you break down where to visit, prices etc! They are so helpful! Xx
Great video, shame you didn’t have the nice weather at the top of the hill, but the paragliding experience definitely made up for it, flying through the clouds must’ve felt epic
hello lovely! could you talk more about how you deal with your period while in your travels, if you feel confortable of course xD wish you the best, love your videoos
So funny! When you mentioned the song that pops into you head...I thought Take That....then you said Take That! But I always think - Rule the World! I wonder if Gary and the boys know their songs are thought of after hikes!
Hello nice video I love it 🥰 I would like correct you. You must to say “Ella está asustada” or “Ella tiene miedo” 😋 by the way I practice my English with you hehe 😉
Curious if you have dates of your excursions and I am over looking them? Love to know when you did all these activities... TIA Great video, looks like a blast!
Hostelworld is definitely your best bet it has lots of reviews and lots of options! Used it for all of my backpacking trips and have not been let down.
Just download the app and do it as you go. I don’t like to plan too much ahead. Your plans might change, you might travel somewhere else than planned, stay longer or shorter etc. I usually book 1 day in advance or even the day itself. And many times only 1 or 2 nights depending on a lot of things. That last thing might be a bit weird but the rest is said is a good thing I think! But you can of course plan it a little bit more ahead to prevent full hostels etc. But don’t plan everything way too much ahead is nicer in my opinion. But then again; it caused me Some messy situations as well with getting a room last minute. You usually can cancel a booking like 2 days before, without costs. So somewhat planning isn’t that bad. Haha
Random story. So I was walking to a coffee farm in Salento. We passed Stephanie who was was lost 😅 so we told her to come to the coffee farm with us, so she did... We became friends and the rest is history lol

Maravilloso
You are so courageous!
The best view I've ever seen is sunrise at Poon Hill viewpoint, Nepal. That's part of the Annapurna trek...
People say the town of Roldanillo , Valle (close to Armenia) it's a major destination for paragliding. They do lots of tournaments there.
Curious if you have dates of your excursions and I am over looking them? Love to know when you did all these activities... TIA Great video, looks like a blast!
How much did the paragliding cost?
I will stay with your channel.
For paragliding, which company did you go with? And how much did it cost?
Binge watching your South America videos though I cant go there yet, not anytime soon.

lovely video! what’s Stephanie’s nationality?
What do you use to find these incredible Hostels? Greetings from germany
Hostelworld is definitely your best bet it has lots of reviews and lots of options! Used it for all of my backpacking trips and have not been let down.
Didn't you get even a little scared paragliding? I got vertigo just from watching on a screen
It's an adrenaline rush for sure 😅 but I love it 😍
Amazing! We will be able to travel soon again
Your American accent has me giggling 😂😂
"Guatacrep" sounds like "what a creep."
How did you go meeting back up with your friend after paragliding?
I had to wait with Joseppe on the main road and we waited for quite a while before they came to pick us up!
love this so much, am curious do you book hostels ahead and how much do you recommend booking ahead as solo female travellor>

1:06 The board behind (The world board ) looks interesting. What is it ?
It's a scratch map. You scratch the countries you've been to. There's a couple options on Amazon
How did you meet Stephanie? :)
Random story. So I was walking to a coffee farm in Salento. We passed Stephanie who was was lost 😅 so we told her to come to the coffee farm with us, so she did... We became friends and the rest is history lol
gaupa! cual es su nombre?
I have the worlds smallest head for a guy...

Perhaps not the best in the world 😅 it was still nice though 😊
