As a kid I used to think guns were super complex on the inside, but I grew up to learn that most of them are just a bunch of metal chunks with a few springs inside. So beautiful
Lmao the G11 beg to differ.
You may think it is no big deal but a reliable gun is a great feat of engineering and precise machining. You may be able to make a shotgun using 2 pipes and no spring or moving parts or copy a 1911 like some asians do in a shed but a gun you can count on is hard to make.

A very powerful weapon, even I would say crazy. This is the first time I have seen such a sniper rifle.
I'm getting flashbacks of there being a pause called in the hike and a chief sniper yelling "PUT THE SASR TOGETHER, 20, 19, 18..."
They used to sell boxes of 10 rounds for $50. I shot about 6 and wanted to go home. It's not the recoil, it's how damn loud the gun is.

Recoils like a lite 20 gauge shotgun load... Super fun for girls or men to shoot. But weights with full mag 10 rds about 40 pounds.
The recoiling barrel, the spring, the action, the bipod and firing position, and the fact it's like 50+ lb loaded, That thing does not recoil very hard at all.

@Norman J Music he was shooting SLAP rounds, which are no longer manufactured. The rounds he bought were most likely reloaded. The one that blew up on him was loaded WAY to hot and absolutely obliterated his rifle and a piece of metal flew straight into his jugular vein. Within seconds, he realized he was bleeding out, wrapped his shirt around his thumb, and shoved it in his neck to hold pressure.
Doctors even said the fact that he made it is absolutely wild. He is a man of God, as am I. His prayers were definitely answered that day.

They have a reciprocating barrel so its very easy recoil.
Yea they really are not hard on the shoulder.
There not shoulder killers. They have decent weight, a good muzzle break and the barrel recoiling makes them very tolerable. My Armalite 50 feels like a 243, but the muzzle blast/ concussion is a different story.
That bolt slide was clean.
