    I can confirm that it work on version 1 of the El Cap. You just have to enable Tails Mode by powering the unit while holding down the Bypass switch, then releasing it . There is also a dipswitch inside allowing you to feed it stereo on a TRS insert connector; The specifics on the dipswitches are in the manual.

    Hugely helpful video. I’d been planning to get a volante for SOS looping but this made it clear the el cap is what I really have is mind.

    Cool demo! And the Blooper is mono only

    This is really lovely. If you clock the pedal with MIDI is there any way to ensure the loops are in sync? The manual talks about MIDI enabling delay subdivisions that are based on the MIDI clock, but I cannot find out if this carriea over to sound-on-sound mode.

      I don’t think sound on sound syncs via midi like a traditional looper

    Looping time: 20 seconds of tape at slow speed, 10 seconds at fast speed.

    What about something that’s can speed up and slow down the audio signal so I can add that to my a77 mk4 to time change the fx I have recoded

    Oh man, i've been wishing that you use that exact patch from minilogue with that exact function of the el cap since you got the el cap.
    It's trully beautiful, i will be hearing this again for a while.
    Is that patch yours?

      Thanks ! Yes all the patches I use are my own. I will try and make a tutorial sometimes soon .

    Yea one of the things the midi v2 does is allow everything to be to a master clock. Apart from this v1 works the same but minust the front panel reverb control.

    Very informative video!
    Do you prefer the El Cap for sound-on-sound vs Eventide Rose?

    • @YukiTheSynthDragon
      @YukiTheSynthDragon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The el cap but the rose does a good job as well. I feel the el cap degrades more. My next video will be on the rose again and regarding looping / fripper / frippertronics.

    So does the El Capistan have the infinity feature - stop degrading - hold and playback loop like the Volante has?
    I read that some prefer El Capistan's simplicity doing SOS, but I need to have an infinity feature for what I wanna do.

      I think it will always degrade each loop as the feedback loop is still engaged.

    What do you mean el capistan is a mono looper? Did I hear that correctly? Both V1 and V2 have stereo inputs don't they?

    • @YukiTheSynthDragon
      @YukiTheSynthDragon  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The el cap and volante both sum the stereo input into mono. The delay or loop signal is mono and a stereo image is added after and then recombined with the stereo dry signal.

    Do either of these pedals have a tape stop

    Does the v1? Would work the same?
