    Once again I thank you for producing this range of plug-ins. They are fantastic! In addition you could present a video of paint drying and you would make it interesting and I would come out the other side knowing exactly what happened; and very entertained. You have a real gift Sir. Thank you

    First of all John, a huge thank you for creating these amazing plugins!! Perhaps this is a dumb question but would you please make a video explaining how hard you need to drive your plugin emulations to get the best colouration of the sound? You spent all that time modelling them so I'd like to know the proper way to use them straight from the designer. As I understand it, it should be 0VU = -18dBfs Thanks again!!

    Great work, this looks great. Is there a dry mix in the compressor hidden somewhere? I feel that's the only feature I'm missing. Everything else is very well thought out!

  • @dePUNDIT
    @dePUNDIT ปีที่แล้ว

    I love this plugin and use it quite a bit. But however, I do miss the old version where there were 3 different types of eqs and compressors. Some times I need a really detailed compressor with all the controls on some tracks while on other tracks, I just need a simple compressor. Same thing with the eqs.
    Would it be possible to have this versatility return in the next version if that's gonna be a thing?

    Hello, thank you for such a great and generous contribution. I wish you could reprogram the way of assigning numerical values to the faders and potentiometers. It is very difficult to adjust the data. It would be much better to be able to right click or something like that and assign the values with the number. pad. Thank you again for your generosity and dedication.

  • @NebulousWeb

    When using the desk input saturation and summing, can we use the tracks' volume faders/envelopes? Or must we leave them at unity and use only the 'out trim' of the sum plugins?

    • @johnmatthews8435
      @johnmatthews8435  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't worry, you can safely use your Reaper-features as usual. The saturation of both, the channel and the bus plugin won't be affected. I designed this of course to not interrupt your (all your) usual workflows.

  • @intelligenceservices
    @intelligenceservices 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    would be cool if Reaper had a separate slot in the fx chain just for console emulators, that can be used to automatically add the console buss and console tracks to every track, based in an fx selector in the preferences just for this sort of technology. so when you add a new track, the appropriate buss console emulator fx would load if you have specified one in the preferences. just trying to think of a way to make the process more streamlined. and easier to globally add or remove this sort of plugin tech for previewing several different console modelers. they'd still appear in the fx chain, but they'd be isolated from the other fx and/or containers in that they'd be auto added based on prefs. just wondering.

    • @johnmatthews8435
      @johnmatthews8435  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a kind of workflow and usability thing, I think. And: The placement of the console/bus things in the signal flow is not unimportant. So, having it as a plugin in an insert slot is not the worst idea. For everything else we can use track presets ;)

    Very cool! But the output section in S2 seems to take up too much space. It would be possible to place the VUs vertically instead of horizontally, and this would save space in width.
    Also, the handles and labels seem a little bit small in my opinion.
    P.S. the dark background in the first series looked very nice, but here background is less beautiful.

    Hi John,
    i cant figure how to connect the sum channe S2 to the sum thing master. Sum channel S2 doesnt have the sum thing option like in the first sum channel. Also is there a difference in sound between the first and second version of sum channel?

    • @johnmatthews8435
      @johnmatthews8435  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      SumChannel/SumBus and the SumThing are not compatible. Best you choose one version for your mix. In the S2 plugins there is no Sumthing-Master at all. Instead there are SumThing groups.

    • @johnmatthews8435
