Her voice does not have a distinguishable quality that even when older, you can still hear it is her. So for me, a person trying to copy the original recording would sound more like Ariel than Jodi.
I’m a little mermaid fan of course but didn’t learn about the actress Jodi until I heard she was the real Ariel thorough her niece. I’m passionate about fundraising for childhood cancer as it’s seriously underfunded. Jodi’s niece Kylie was diagnosed with pediatric bone cancer at age 12 and died days before her 13th birthday. Jodi does lots of charity/ fundraising for the cause now. I encourage everyone to read up on Kylie’s story and educate themselves about pediatric cancer!

I had that same banned cover for The Little Mermaid. My dad unfortunately doesn’t understand how valuable VHS’s are now, and donated that, and several other Disney tapes to a random Library. I was angry and told him in front of my aunt and mother how much it was worth because of the cover, and he just blew it. I don’t think he’s sorry, and the tape was never watched or only watched once. I don’t remember unfortunately. So now some library has my tape and it’s probably watching it into oblivion. I’m really happy that you still have your tape and on top of it. I'm sorry you lost your VHSs, they were so cool. Unfortunately, the value of old Disney VHSs has plummeted to maybe a few dollars per blue diamond copy a a couple of years back. Blame it on a mixture of pandemic and new tech thats incapable with a VHS. They may go up in price, again but who knows. I sell collectables. It's the same with beanie babies. Only certain special realeases with misprints on the tags are very valueable (Like the Princess Diana one with certain markings.) There is so much inflation that the majority of people have to spend their money on food and housing, not collectbles. If you want some unsolicited advice, invest in Mattel. Like now. The Barbie Movie is being released on July 21st. Also if you have any vintage barbies still, those are probably going to get much more valuable around the movie release.

I had that same banned cover for The Little Mermaid. My dad unfortunately doesn’t understand how valuable VHS’s are now, and donated that, and several other Disney tapes to a random Library. I was angry and told him in front of my aunt and mother how much it was worth because of the cover, and he just blew it. I don’t think he’s sorry, and the tape was never watched or only watched once. I don’t remember unfortunately. So now some library has my tape and it’s probably watching it into oblivion.

I'm sorry you lost your VHSs, they were so cool. Unfortunately, the value of old Disney VHSs has plummeted to maybe a few dollars per blue diamond copy a a couple of years back. Blame it on a mixture of pandemic and new tech thats incapable with a VHS. They may go up in price, again but who knows.
I sell collectables. It's the same with beanie babies. Only certain special realeases with misprints on the tags are very valueable (Like the Princess Diana one with certain markings.) There is so much inflation that the majority of people have to spend their money on food and housing, not collectbles.
If you want some unsolicited advice, invest in Mattel. Like now. The Barbie Movie is being released on July 21st. Also if you have any vintage barbies still, those are probably going to get much more valuable around the movie release.

Yeah it's true she did voice thumbelina in the movie and I treasure all her movies that she voices over the years she was the original Ariel she actually brought the character to life even in today's modern era she still got it and never loses it.

Yeah, that’s something I’ve always wanted to know more about since the studios were in competition 😂😂😂 Disney sabotaged another ex Disney employee. The people who worked at his studio taught my partner in his classes for animation and shared stories from the movie amongst others. How did Jodi get away with that 😅
