Some helpful clarification for you: they changed the mechanic from throwing the ball into the field to release the creature into just summoning the creature by the player's side without throwing anything, which does affect the gameplay in several noticeable ways, but it's not enough to appease the lawsuit as there's other patents that were infringed by the game.

      Thank you for the clarification.

My guess is that since they did get pocketpair to change the way pal spheres work, and have asserted their dominance, now they can let them publish their products on their platform, the fucking bastards.

These were patented months after palworld released. Should be thrown out if you ask me. If Nintendo wins then this will effect games in the future in many ways

You are absolutely right. I am not a patent expert, but I think if 2 companies do something currently the same way, one shouldn't get granted a patent for it. I mean someone just has to figure out something Coca-Cola does that isn't patented and file for one and be rolling in the money.

@ that’s like if Call of duty sued battlefield for pointing a weapon at a person on the opposing team, it’s vague and silly. Every game will be impacted if Nintendo wins. Personally, I think it will actually kill gaming because every company will start patenting things and companies will need to ask/pay to use.
