references section is to include name of teacher in your college or department, their title, college address, email ID and contact number. You have to tell them that you have included them as a reference as they may receive a call or email from CSIR

CSIR NEIST final list is only for the students who got selected to NEIST. There is another provisional list which include the names of selected candidates who have applied through the online mode. That list include the the name of candidates selected to all CSIR institutions except NEIST. So check whether your name is there in the provisional list. Also the final list is not yet published. Final list may include newly selected candidates.

I think you will get a detailed e-mail regarding this or the website will update... I think it is like having an online training and for the students without travel restrictions can visit the labs in future... The purpose of selecting labs was for allotting students to respective disciplines and for the mentors..

The broad areas of research is all science subjects and interdisciplinary subjects... You can choose your areas of interest... However the labs and guides allotted may depend upon the vacancies and facilities available
