Well who else did it, then ? US is biggest backer than Germany and Germany followed the U.S. , while Trump makes stupid statements saying he’d end the war in 24h how ? Nobody knows
Why ask someone who is invested neck deep in AI if AI will take our jobs? It's like asking an oil company if oil is bad. Yes, AI will be an excellent doctor and teacher but that also means that we will need less doctors and teachers. AI will be a great help to humanity's future, if we get it right. But the societal infrastructure is lagging way behind for the change that is coming.
I respectfully disagree. We need more doctors and teachers, and always will. And we need those professionals to be AI savvy users. I did some consulting work for a healthcare AI company working on diagnostic imaging. There is a massive radiologist shortage now, and radiologists are being tasked to evaluate some 20x the number of images that they were asked to evaluate just a decade ago. They are overworked and cannot get to all of the images. An AI simply prioritizing the more urgent cases (ie. flagging the more complex or worrysome images) and bringing them to radiologist attention will save lives and save radiologists' time. Filtering out patients who are clear negatives (no tumors) would save lives and radiologists' time. Radiologitsts have higher-value tasks they need to get to. They need time to consult patients, plan treatments, and work as part of a treatment team. AI isn't ever going to do that. AI will remove burdensome work, prioritize urgent cases, and enable radiologists to focus on the more important cases and do the more important parts of patenient care. And I believe that's a good analogy for how AI will change everything across the economy in every profession. Teachers, in your example, will have more tools to help students along. Now will certain routine jobs be put out of business? For sure. Call centers will shrink, loan processing will be automated so we'll need fewer loan processors. But this widespread jobless armagedon is vastly exaggerated.
@@mattanlurie4362 I agree with what you say. Your example is using AI where more resources are needed. I was referring to replacing staff with AI to reduce costs. I am guessing here but I think there will be more cases of replacement than additional support. What do you think?
Love Reid. I wish he would back off on the Trump bashing a bit. I will be praying for America in that who ever becomes president will still serve this country and what it stands for. I’m thankful for what this country has given me and will always strive to serve it in anyway I can in return.

"It was a 2-hour robust conversation" with Biden. Ok. I completely trust you.
This aged like fine wine, unlike Pudding Brain, who aged like milk.
Reid is a nice person to listen to, when you skip past his "takes" on politics
He’s correct
I bet the women on the island disagree
2 hour conversation where Biden was apparently interested in AI. Things that NEVER happened.
Woke lightweight trying way to hard to be an intellectual thought leader 🤓
Would have loved to hear that 2hr robust conversation 48:11 🤭…ok. 🤣😂🤣
Biden slept, while Hoffman shared stories of Epstein island.
Trump can’t string together one coherent sentence it’s just word salad
@@Bboy235 no one mentioned Trump, but you let him live rent free in your mind don’t you?😎

Reid Hoffman is on that Chris Farley dust
Time is ticking. I bet he doesn't even see the election.
This guy is unbearable.. he thinks HE's finding *truths* in his convos?
He's as myopic as any other and isn't some truthfinder
The fact that he wants to be a "public intellectual" is exactly the problem. He only says things that make him sound smart.
Reid is a goat.❤

I admire everything Reid Hoffman has achieved. He is proof you can be successful in tech and not be a jerk.
