Hello! My name is Mitch and I am relatively new to the golf game! I began as a 25 handicap golfer a little over 2 years ago and have managed to work my way down to my current handicap of 9! My goal is to make it to at least a single-figure handicap as soon as possible and possibly even lower!
My latest investment has been a SkyTrak golf simulator and launch monitor, so that i can improve my golf game at home and especially indoors during the winter months. On my channel you will find some helpful tips and tricks related to SkyTrak, as well as monitoring my progress out on the golf course. I will upload how to videos, comparison videos and also some all important course vlogs!

Were about to purchase a skytrak system and trying to figure out what software should we get.. we will be using it for our disabled veteran program at our local VA. Most of our guys will play from a wheelchair or adaptive golf cart.. so we are trying to make it as real as possible.. I think the TGC 2019 seems to be the best fit.. however, a little nervous to put some much funds into something that might be upgraded.. hopefully TGC will recognize this to give a break if you are upgrading??? Our hope is to use the same projector and screen for dual purpose to fly our new flight sim 2020... So putting is possible with the SkyTrak system??? Thanks again. I forgot to add.. the funds to pay for this is coming from donors not the VA or government so we want to get the biggest bang for the buck.. but realistic as possible.. suggestions how we should lean.. ??
first of all can I just say what an amazing thing it is that you’re doing. I work with disabled children and your comment was very close to home, so massive respect for you guys. I would love to hear more about your project - do you have any links or info I could look at?
As for your question, I would definitely recommend TGC2019. it is so much fun and you have an unbelievable choice of courses to play that will suit both highly skilled golfers and also those who may just be starting out or who are still getting used to their wheelchairs or their disability. In the past when TGC was updated to TGC2019, ProTee allowed buyers of the original TGC to upgrade either for free or for a small price. I think you will be safe for a while yet though because there are no plans to release a 2k21 version of the software - I spoke to someone at ProTee a couple of months ago.

and yes you can do putting on SkyTrak and it is not as difficult as people make out when using the ‘straight putting’ feature. I actually quite like it 👍🏼
@@hcpgolf thanks for the response will make sure to share once we have all our equipment in place and we can get our vets because of this covid stuff. It will be a great tool for inpatient and outpatient. Even if we just want to immerse them into a environment with bird sounds and pretty scenery bonus chill and relaxation for pain reduction:)

Great video, .I’m Gary, Dorset. E6 Connect basic subscription (27 courses, plenty) with Mevo+ LM. Probably will get TGC2019 - for life- sometime next year .

I have bought a Skytrak and it should be here within a few weeks. After all my research I decided on E6. It went on sale and I bought the expanded version which I had not planned on doing. Couldn’t pass it up as I plan to play several of the courses then next year maybe back off to the basic package and just buy a few courses I really like each year. That I think is a really good feature of E6. The physics and frequent updates is what drew me to E6. I feel like their platform is getting better and better. And lastly it allow me to start on my iPad which I already own and get comfortable with the technology. Then I can dive in more if I really use it. Excited to start!
How is the E6 working for you?
I don’t own E6 and I haven’t played it for quite a while. I decided to go with TGC 2019
Great coverage of both. Think I will start with the E6, scramble mode is a big deal in my house! But I will probably end up with both. I know that SkyTrak does not look at swing path, but does either one of these use the ball flight/spin data to perhaps calculate and give you swing plane data?

I bought skytrak 4 years ago and got TGC right away. I played it on PS4 and love the ability to make your own courses and I didn't want a simulator unless I could play Augusta National. The graphics are great and has a way better atmosphere throughout your experience. I didn't want a simulator that would make you feel like you are just hitting ball in the garage and not have a beautiful scenery to see at the same time... since winters in wisconsin get long. I 100% am happy after 4 years playing TGC 19. The only problem I ever have is that sometimes midway through the round my skytrak disconnects and stops reading shots through the golf club and I have to restart the game. This easily could be my own internet connection as I am still looking into this.

I've got the OG SkyTrak with TGC 2019 and I love it. I did get a new gaming computer and actually just upgraded my graphics card from RTC 2060 to RTX 3060, only cost about $300 and WOW what a huge difference.
Does the 3060 work flawlessly with TGC 2019?

Great video - why? - it agrees very closely with my assessment of the two pieces of software 😁. I have had TGC2019 since I bought the SkyTrak in 2019 and purchased E6 almost a year ago. I like both games however I almost always select E6 when I play. One thing not mentioned is how much easier it is to play E6, just have the Skytrak turned on and click the E6 icon where the TGC requires loading the ST SW, closing it and then loading the TGC game. I have had multiple updates on E6 whereas none on TGC - looks like my purchase is what I got is what you get. Still, I am really looking hard at purchasing another years "use" of E6. Here in Arizona the cost is about the same as ten real games on the course.
Thanks for the comment. I am on the other side I prefer TGC 2019 🤦🏻♂️😂 I have played the E6 demo and own TGC and I think TGC is much more fun to play. I don’t like how when you are chipping distance off the green in E6 the. It shows your distance to the pin in feet and inches rather than yards! I’m sure there is a way to change that though. Maybe if I owned the full version of E6 my opinion would be different!
If you are in Phoenix, you need a city card. Cavecreek, Encanto, Aguila, Papago, GCU, and Palo Verde are discounted with your card for 30 bucks a year (renewal) The best thing is you can book 2 days earlier than the public. In the winter, if you want a good tee time it's literally at the stroke of midnight 9 days out or you aren't getting it. You buy the card at any of the municipal courses.
Great video, what would be your software of choice if you was going to use them in a shop environment where people can come and rent a bay by the hour? I've used e6 and think its great but I think being able to play augusta etc like you can on tg19 would be a big draw?
Ye I would probably agree with you - the ability to play more courses such as Augusta could draw in more interest!

This was great, I been tryin to find out about "what is the highest golf handicap for a man?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Tonayden Senadelyn Remedy - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbour got great results with it.

Went for TGC with my skytrak - 2 main reasons price (bought outright) and the fact I can play sims of the best courses in the world

Which do you find plays more realistic (eg lie penalties, weather, etc)? Also have you reviewed GSPro? Good video!
At the time of making this video, E6 wasn’t taking rough and bunker penalties into account. Since, I believe their updates have accommodated for this, so it is much more realistic. I have not tried GSPro yet. There is a lot of hype around but it is not yet available for SkyTrak so it’s unlikely I’ll be able to review it soon 😔
How long have you had your ST? Are you happy with your device? I've had mine for 3 days and loving it so far but the bias draw launch is really messing with my head since I know my shots don't draw as much on my iron plays. Was thinking of getting the Meevo+ and trading in my ST
I’ve had mine for about 4 months. I still love it, it is one of the best purchases I’ve made! Your draw bias sounds like indoor swing syndrome, not sure if you’ve heard of it? My setup is outdoors and even I had it! It just takes a while to get used to freely swinging and once you get over it then you’ll start noticing a big difference.
Getting ready to build a sim, been doing lots of reading pros/cons etc. I would mention like you did in the video playing TGC 2019 on Xbox gives a cheap way to demo out the game. I hated putting on it though, maybe on a sim is better than a controller, also building your own course I have that a two hour go but gave up lol.
The putting isn’t great on the simulator either. Some people don’t mind it, some people hate it and just play gimmies. There is a setting to make it a little easier though to be fair and I don’t mind it too much 👍🏼
The create a course feature is really awesome when you get it figured out. Try mine! Jack's Desert Danger. I put some thought into it, but yea it took me like 3 days of 4-6 hour sessions.

So far I have never had any issues with connection to the SkyTrak 🙌🏼
I have both TGC with R Motion, E6Connect with Tittle X both on windows 10. In my opinion E6Connect graphics are much better with better options and features. Price wise full license on TCG is cheaper for one time buy but E6Connect for Tittle X is $120 a year. I know it’s not a full blown simulator but for the price it’s a lot of fun.
Oh really, $120 a year is brilliant! I don’t know anything about Tittle X, I will have a research on it sounds alright!
@@hcpgolf It is similar to R Motion a low price Sim. Both are fun and fairly accurate. Either is on the level of Skytrac but both are fun and Tittle X connects to E6Connect. A good starting point for anyone wanting to setup a simulator area at a reasonable cost. I plan on moving up to Skytrac or Mevo+ but for now it's fun and I get to hit a lot of balls.

Thanks! I spoke to a guy at ProTee who make TGC 2019 and he said there it is highly unlikely due to 2k21 having the licence and it costs a fortune to get the PGA Tour's permission to use official courses. Add that on top of the whole pandemic situation i would take a stab in the dark and say there is no chance of it happening, not this year at least.

E6 connect for iPad on Skytrak. What is the 12 course option for £259 on here? I can’t believe how expensive it is for one time purchase ($2500). I’m weighing up TGC and gaming PC versus iPad (already have) and E6. What’s your thoughts?
Hi and thanks! My personal opinion is TGC2019 and gaming PC, I have this and I think it is amazing. Since I made this video I am not sure if E6 has changed any of its subscription packages. If you want to go E6 (which is still very very good) then do an annual subscription rather than buy the software outright because as you say $2500 is extortionate! Hope that helps ⛳️

Thanks mate. They’re both fantastic and it all really depends on personal preference- but in my opinion GSPro beats them both due to its regular updates, graphics and more realistic gameplay 👍🏼⛳️

If playing courses is going to be your main thing, get TGC2019 and you won’t go wrong. It will have most of the courses on the west coast that have some sort of ‘reputation’ and probably plenty that are more obscure too. You can bypass putting on both as you can choose a setting to just ‘auto putt’ for you. Finally, yes only TGC has Augusta 👍🏼

I haven’t tried Creative Golf 3D yet. I know there is a demo available though so when I get an opportunity I will give it a go!
Does E6 allow 2v2 scramble play? We had that with JNPG where I could have 4 total players over, then team up and play 2 vs 2 in a scramble. I miss that with JNPG going away. Do you know if E6 allows that? I know from your video that TGC has no scramble.

I ended up with the WGT and hate it (it was part of a package). Looking for another option. This was helpful. Wish both worked on my iPad. Is e6 my only option with iOS? Don’t really want to invest in a new PC.
Yes E6 is going to be your best option if you want to stick with IOS. There is a free 30-day demo you can try. You really won’t be disappointed with it, it’s so much better than WGT!

Question on the physics, there is a way to fix the E6 backspin with settings changes and familiar with 1st bounce issues. My main question is which one is closest to realistic? They the same? Is there a shorter shot to display delay between the 2?
No it’s just something that TruGolf May be able to fix in the future with software updates. Neither pieces of software or perfect but I firmly believe in terms of physics they are both as good as each other! If I had to lean towards any it would be TGC2019 but some people prefer E6!

i think the golf club is better in my opinion because you get feel like your a pga player in it also the better graphics and the more courses to. inspired me on thinking the golf club 2019 is the best for me. :)

Are both programs sky track only, meaning TGC has PlayStation and XBox version are the stats and games interconnected? Are you swinging a club in a simulator while someone else is beating you because they are using a joystick and never have swung a club in real life?
No mate, the SkyTrak version is only players actually swinging a golf club in real life! No joypad players!
I heard that E6 does not adjust for wind and rough penalty like TGC. Is this correct?
I am not 100% sure now (as they may have updated the software), but in the past I don’t believe that E6 took rough or wind into account. Which I think is pretty poor. So hopefully they have sorted it now... if anyone reads this comment and knows the answer it would be great if they could let everyone know 🤙🏼

Just bought a Skytrak now need to decide between E6 & TGC 2019. Any word on a TGC 2021 release?
It is extremely unlikely there will be a 2021 release! I spoke to a guy at ProTee a couple of months ago and he explained that it is extremely expensive for them to work with the people who convert the game for simulation, plus now that 2k have released the latest The Golf club game on console and have copyright over the PGA tour aspects of the game then it is highly unlikely there will be The Golf Club 2021.

I just got a Mevo+ and looking at both prices, I think spending $960 on TGC19 which includes tons of courses, including Augusta, is the right purchase. Comments?
$960 is the price of two years subscription but you get to keep the software for life. No one knows when the next TGC/2K21 software will be out for SkyTrak. In my opinion, TGC2019 is the best out there. E6 is great but only being able to play a limited amount of real life courses (compared to TGC) is where it loses out. I love that you can basically play whichever course the pros are playing each week!

Does TGC 2019 in simulator mode have all of the same features it would have on the PS4/Xbox? For example, is there a "Career Mode" where you create a golfer and play through various PGA Tournaments against Pro's?
It has many of the features from the PS/XBox but you can’t play a career against the pros unfortunately. You can join societies and play against other golfers from around the world though 👍🏼

I currently have a cheap old hitachi. Something I will probably upgrade in the future. I don’t use it very often at the moment though as my set up is outdoors.
I'm thinking of building a sim room but have a tight budget. What's the cheapest launch monitor that's compatible with TGC 2019? Is the mevo compatible or only the mevo+ and what other budget launch monitors work with TGC 2019? I'd prefer launch monitors in the $500 range if possible.
As far as I’m aware, the cheapest launch monitors compatible with TGC2019 are SkyTrak & Mevo+. I don’t think there are any within the $500 range unfortunately. Your best bet would be to get a Garmin R10 launch monitor and use E6 Connect.
@@hcpgolf Ya for starting out with initial cost that might be a good option. Garmin R10 $600 and $300 for E6 Connect Basic is $900 up front and $300 per year in about 7 years would eqaul the cost of Skytrack $2000 and $895 one time fee of TGC 2019. However after the 7 years I'd still be paying $300 per year. This is all excluding price of net or screen, projector, matt, pc etc.

I'm planning to use my new Skytrak in the garden using my iPad, but do have a gaming PC as well, which simulation would be better for my set up, i.e can i use the Gaming PC if I'm playing outside?
You can take your gaming PC outside of you wish but obviously laptop would be more portable if you will need to keep bringing the computer in and out each time you use it. You can use E6 with an iPad outside if you want to be extra portable. If you use your gaming PC then both pieces of software will be fantastic. My personal choice is TGC 2019 with a gaming PC

You can download courses to play offline on E6 Connect. With TGC 2019 you can play a few courses offline that come standard with the software (but not any courses that have been created by people)

Apperently it is a very 'different' game when you integrate data from a launch monitor so you can use it as a simulator. I thought the same as you when I was about to buy it!

Not that i am aware of. From all the research online it doesn't look like there's gonna be one. Every few years at least they update plus its a new company producing the console game. Hopefully they do it soon though!

No idea! If ProTee would regularly update the TGC 2019 software there would be a lot more happy customers out there! As it stands its been over 2 years and no update to TGC 2019 since it was first released which is shocking given the amount of money they expect consumers to pay for it 🙄

@@hcpgolf I agree. This really dissuades me from seriously considering it. Not only that, but the fact that ProTee charges something like $350 to transfer ownership is very telling of the type of people who converted the game.
I run tgc2019 on a high spec computer but the physics are so ridiculous (I can sometimes hit my 9 iron 200 yards) that for me at least it’s unplayable. It’s a great shame because there are literally thousands of courses with high quality graphics. I play fsx2020, the graphics don’t begin to compare but the physics are a very very long way better an more realistic.
Interesting, I’ve never heard of that happening before I thought TGC was pretty accurate all round. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi Mike. To be honest, I have no idea. I have only ever known TGC2019 to be $895/£895 and there has never been a deal on the software unless you already owned the original TGC and ProTee offered you an upgrade. As far as I am aware, SkyTrak and Mevo+ are the most budget friendly launch monitors that TGC works with, and from there the price of the launch monitors goes up (Uneekor, GC2 etc) so I don’t think it depends on your input device as to how much you can get the software for. Unfortunately for SkyTrak, you can’t get any sort of discount on TGC because you have to buy it directly through SkyTrak. Unless you live in the UK and you can buy it in dollars and save a couple hundred pounds via the current currency exchange rate. Hope that helps!
Have you actually played E6 connect course with a decent projector and screen? If you had you would have discovered that the graphics are far superior to TGC 2019... Having said this the number of courses on TGC 2019 is excellent.
I have played both and as I mention in the video the graphics in each are amazing. My preference in terms of graphics leans slightly towards TGC simply because it shows little things like pitch marks etc to make the game more realistic. But I wouldn’t be disappointed if I owned E6 at all!
tgc is way better. its full 3d engine 4k capable. e6 isnt even in the same league. yes i have played both currently own tgc. e6 connect is better than e6. tgc with a good gaming computer at 4k cant be beat...you cant even find e6 4k video. e5 is even mentioning upcoming graphic improvements because they are lacking. i actually would be fine with the graphic, i just hate e6 for boring chipping and putting.

They charge it based on what the golf sim demographics can pay vs gamers willing to pay. I wonder how much of this extra profit goes to Mevo+ or Skytrak.

Tgc 2019 is just unrealistic. How in the hell does a pw have 15 feet of roll. In real life mine hits and bounces like 10 feet and stops
Fair point! Doesn’t always happen like that though, if you use a soft ball and have the green firmness set to not ridiculous 😂
$2500 vs $900. Easy choice for me.
Depends which sensor you are using. Uneekor and others have special licenses with E6. For example, $1200 gets you E6 connect with premium courses for first year, then $600/yr after that. E6 also continually updates their software and seem to have better customer support.
