Wow. That looks a fantastic golf course. Very fortunate to play it 👌🏻❤️❤️
I was lucky enough to speak to Mitch directly about building a sim. Really nice guy and couldn’t have been more helpful. This video is brilliant, shows so many of the little details you’d have no idea about. Great job, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words Barry I appreciate it 🙌🏼⛳️
Absolutely beautiful job. Huge difference from where you started. Have fun!
Thanks very much mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Fantastic m8 so pleased for you, you deserve a top end sim room your videos have helped so many of us in past, enjoy your premium space I look forward to some class videos soon
This is an awesome comment thanks so much 🙌🏼⛳️
Congrats Mitch!🤩🤩🤩
Thanks mate appreciate it 👍🏼⛳️
You did it! Next level upgrade.
🙌🏼⛳️
Congrats on the new setup 🎉
Thank you 🙌🏼⛳️
Congrats Mitch! The new set up looks amazing. Your video production quality just keeps getting better. I'm still running og skytrak and gspro and tgc2019 on mine also.
Thanks mate I really appreciate that 🙌🏼⛳️
Well done mate looks amazing
Thank you mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Brah!!! Looks great....this will help your channel grow for sure....looking forward to that future video on how to cut out a hitting strip from you carpet. I need to do that but will wait for that video to drop!
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 I’ll get that video out soon 👍🏼⛳️
Well done! Love it
Thanks pal 🙌🏼⛳️
Congrats on the sim, looks amazing! I absolutely love my Uneekor EyeXO, and impact replays have really helped me develop my shot shaping.
So strange that BENQ calls that projector the LK954ST in Europe but the LK936ST in the US, they look absolutely identical as far as I can tell.
Thanks mate. Ye I noticed that they look very similar. On the BenQ sim planner you can select both models, maybe they are slightly different? I’m going to try get hold of a Uneekor to have a go on, lots of people are recommending their LM’s
Man, you are SO lucky !
Beautiful 🤩
It must be nice to have the full view and practice with real clubs.
I played a lot of Golf+, VR, but this must be SO MUCH better 🙏
Well done man!
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
It looks amazing mate, you might have spent more than expected but what a result. Duel purpose too, glad to see Bad Boys was the film of choice 👍🏻 enjoy the new sim room and look forward to all the future videos
Haha 😂 Top man thanks mate of course had to rep Bad Boys!
Well done mate. You’ve grafted hard on that setup. I’m jealous!
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Living the golf simulator dream there mate! 👌👏 one day 🤞🙏
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Looks good, just gone through the same process, built a room from scratch in my industrial unit i use for work in Alicante. I went for the mevo+. I did contact swing systems after watching your videos but sourced everything locally. Budget would only stretch to hd but may upgrade in the future, your videos were a great help
I’m glad I was able to help mate 🙌🏼 don’t think you’d need a sim in Alicante ☀️⛳️😂
Looking good ! i went with the Uneekor Eye Xo i thing i would still go with that today, really useful features if you want to improve your swing, i love the club Optix view and the new Ai coach is looking very good, i recommend getting swing cameras as well. gc3 is interesting as well but you get more data points with uneekor and other advantage is the uneekor is mounted on the ceiling not on the floor, i also prefer the software Uneekor is using(View) to display data, i usally have the club optix view on a different monitor. gl Mitch !
Thank you mate 🙌🏼 I’m definitely going to see if I can try out a Uneekor LM as I haven’t had chance to yet and would definitely be worth considering I think ⛳️
Brilliant video mate. Definitely go the skytrak+ for the next LM. It’s a big upgrade from the original ST.
Thanks Dave & appreciate the advice 🙌🏼⛳️
It looks great, I know that you will enjoy it! I could of warned you about how much work it is if going at it alone! I fell from the ladder one night from about 4 meters and received a fractured shin bone to go with the build, so I agree 100% that sometimes, there is a need for a helping hand!
Oh wow 🤦🏻♂️ I had a few ‘moments’ but none quite as bad as that! Hope you’re alright mate! ⛳️
Great to see Mitch! You’ve come along way since starting off in your single garage. You must be stoked with your upgrade! If money isn’t an issue I’d be looking at an overhead launch monitor. It gives you even more space on the ground, allows both righthand and lefthand players to play. I’ve personally got the Uneekor Eye Mini due to lack of space and highly recommend their products. I believe they’re leading the way with their golf assist tech accessories that’s available to purchase……cameras, weight distribution matt and now AI. I look forward to the new vids. Keep up the great work mate. 👍
Thanks mate I appreciate it 🙌🏼 I’m definitely going to look more into Uneekor - a lot of people are mentioning their LM’s ⛳️
Looks mint.. something im aiming for on looks ❤👍
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Congrats!
Thanks mate! ⛳️
Great set up, Mitch! Congratulations on the new simulator. For a new launch monitor - since GSPRO is the software of choice, maybe go with an Eye Mini or Eye Mini Lite since Uneekor has native integration. They look to have a great ecosystem as well.
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 I’m going to look into uneekor I think as I haven’t had any experience with them yet ⛳️
Looks great!
Bushnell Launch Pro is what I've gone with.
If we had BLP in the UK I would definitely be tempted. Instead I’d have to fork out for GC3 ⛳️
Awesome setup
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Great job Mitch 👏
I’m thinking going with protee as my golf simulator 👍
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 I will hopefully be trying out the ProTee soon so I’ll be able to see what it’s like ⛳️
Got to be GC3 or GC4 Mitch. The sim looks amazing. So good mate. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks pal 🙌🏼⛳️
Great setup, i have almost exactly the same size space so will take a lot of tips as mine needs some upgrades. Mevo+ is great for a space like that which what i am using. I would go for a trackman io/gcquad if i had the money (depends; ceiling/ball side position pref).
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 I think I’d love to go Trackman iO/Quad but budget isn’t quite there yet! Good luck with your setup 👍🏼⛳️
I really enjoy my Bushnell Launch Pro which I ended up unlocking lifetime club data and basically have a GC3. It wasn't jump up and down difference over my original SkyTrak but I had a heck of a lot less missed shots. The BLP no longer missed either very short chips or my 60 degree wedge whereas SkyTrak did. I did look into Uneekor, the Eye Mini and some other products but at the time (not sure if it is still the case) they had issues with putting. My BLP works great with putting.
I have to say you've done a fantastic job. Along with doing improvements on the house, sometimes it is the same with the golf simulator in that you are better to buy the best that you can afford and not have to worry about upgrading as the latest and greatest comes out. I say that as someone who has had 2 different projectors and because I just built a 4K compatible PC, I'm looking at 4K projectors. Your golf simulator room looks absolutely awesome!!!
Thanks mate I appreciate that and also the input about the BLP/GC3. I think a GC3 is leading the way for me at the moment 👍🏼⛳️
Love the new setup Mitch. Gc3 is fantastic. I prefer overhead LM’s and if it were me I’d go uneekor eyexo. I have one and it’s amazing. I had a BLP and it was very nice as well.
Thanks for the advice Judd I need to look into the Uneekor LMs as they aren’t as common over here 👍🏼⛳️
Nice dude!
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
pretty clean setup. im just using a net and a rapsodo mlm2pro but eventually want to upgrade to this setup. will have to be in another house as im capped on space right now
Looks great man! Huge upgrade from what you were using! How far is the ball from the screen?
Thanks mate! Ball to screen is 10ft 👍🏼⛳️
Hey Mitch, awesome stuff! If you use the galvanised angles, can you still have the hitting screen 12 inches away from the wall behind?
Yes you can. I think mine is around 15 inches away but 12 is fine 👍🏼
What a sim! Keep up the great videos, did you put a gap between your screen and the wall behind?
Thank you 🙌🏼 yes there is a gap of around 15 inches between the screen and the wall behind 👍🏼⛳️
Looks awesome! How much are you renting the space for it looks pretty big.
You should consider putting a tensioned wire rope through the bottom of the screen and bolting to the walls to stop the screen flapping up. Then put a slight ramp on the floor in front of the screen so you don’t hit it then you’ll have a nice edge. Gung-ho golf have a good video on it.
Having recently finished my garage setup (also mostly on my own), I can appreciate how much work you've put into this - looks fantastic btw!
My garage is just slightly bigger than your previous set up (although not much it seems as I don't see myself swinging driver in there), and I've gone for the Mevo+ which works really well. You've obviously got more than enough space for a radar based LM now and I'd probably lean towards the Mevo+ with the added benefits of no subscription costs. I was looking at the Skytrak+ too and that seems a great unit also and if you're already used to and enjoy the software, then it makes sense. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those or the GC3 if your budget allows. Other things to consider are whether you're likely to use it on the range at all, can't really beat the Mevo+ in this space for the money, it's probably more accurate outdoors than the GC3 but look forward to seeing what you go for!
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 the Mevo+ is definitely an option, I’m just unsure about putting with it. When I’ve tried it in the past it has struggled to read short putts (less than 6ft) accurately. I basically have to hit like a 10ft putt to get it to register. Have you found that?
@@hcpgolf I've only used it briefly on E6 so far as have mostly practiced using the Flightscope app tbf, had the odd no read but it's been ok on the longer putts. I've seen others suggest setting the option on GS Pro for chips and putts as 5 feet from Mevo+ to ball and can work fairly well, I've not got round to purchasing GS Pro just yet.
Putting was probably lowest on my list for the LM requirement though if I'm being honest but I can understand how the photometric units might perform better here if you really need putting for the online comps.
Wonderful video. I see the hitting strip is 35mm deep and the gym mat 10m and other turf 14mm. Did you use two layers of gym mats? Looking forward to the hitting strip cut out video.
Thanks mate, no I’ve only used one layer of gym tiles 👍🏼⛳️
Great job on this. Looks like you got your hitting mat dead level with your turf- can I ask what thickness they are please?
The turf is 14mm pile. I can’t find out what thickness the gym mats are but they are standard gym mats from Amazon 👍🏼⛳️
Hey Mitch! Looks great mate 🔥 a question on the rented space - how did you find it and how much are you renting it for? Never considered that as an option
Thanks mate! I found it by posting on some local Facebook groups that I’m after a space with specific height requirements 👍🏼⛳️
I'd love for you to get and use the GC3.
I think that’s what I’m leaning towards ⛳️
Great set up, I hope I can build something like this. Just a question, won't your PC gets really hot if put in a small cabinet like that?
It does actually yeah, I have been leaving the doors of the cupboard open to help it cool 👍🏼
I had Skytrak which was v happy with. Lucky enough to get gc3 ball enabled when they were offering that and it’s great not having to point logo anymore or get any noreads . FYI have tested both side by side and get exactly same numbers on bs, spin, sa, launch and ld. Sometimes ld can be out but talking about 1 in 20 shots and then by no more that 3/4 which equates to 8 yds on mid iron.
This is great info. Would you say the GC3 is worth the extra money for the upgrade?
@@hcpgolf well I got for £3600 and reckon it will probably now depreciate by 200 a yr, so justified it on that basis (200 a year not much). But to pay £7500) is obviously a lot. Suggest you test against a quad (like I did) and you will get a lot of comfort how good Skytrak is. Most get problems with things like set up : white background, not at same level, using protective case etc
You may want to consider the eye mini lite as you won’t be using outdoors
Thanks for the advice. The Uneekor LM’s are something I definitely would like to do some testing with ⛳️
I appreciate how you broke down the total cost and were up front about how you had some things to begin with. There are a couple other videos that claim absolutely ridiculous prices because they didn’t include a ton of stuff they already owned which is nonsense. Nice job. Also, did you update your logo? Looks snazzy.
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 Ye I updated it a while back glad you think it’s snazzy 👍🏼🤣
I got the skytrak plus launch monitor about 6 weeks ago. It's really incredible and very happy with it. especially like the club data and it seems to be very accurate. using it outside to watch the ball flights it matches the clubhead data very very well.
Inside my garage sim and into the net has been so awesome.
I’m glad you’re enjoying it and you’re finding it to be accurate - good to know the ball flights match up well 🙌🏼⛳️
Awesome set up mate, forgive the noobness but how did you get GSPro running with skytrak? I’ve read they’re not compatible.
Thanks!
Officially SkyTrak isn’t compatible with GSPro, but there is some third party software that allows the two to connect. If you join the SGT Discord then you can download everything from there 👍🏼⛳️
Hi awesome sim set up
Did u cut the hitting mat? The link below is for a 3x1.5m Mat
Thanks mate, yes I cut the hitting mat, mine was like 2x1m I think but cut it down (I like the thin strip look) ⛳️
Looks great sir! You going to have lefties ever in the room? If so grab a Mevo+ and save some quid over the ceiling mounts. If not, keep the missus happy and get either a GC3/Bushnell or Eye Mini. But you already knew this! ;) Have a blast, and thanks for the insight!
Thanks mate, appreciate the advice 👍🏼⛳️
Like I said, nothing you didn’t know already- just reinforcement! ;)
Since you've got the room I wonder if leaving a space to walk between the wall and the back of the screen would have been a good idea?
Great setup, would you not invest in the trackman because of the amount of courses ?
Trackman iO would be nice but I don’t think my budget will stretch that far at this moment. Maybe in the future ⛳️
Great set up, very similar to mine. You mentioned about the launch monitor, I'm currently using a GC2 with HMT, which is great but a nightmare if you have lefties in the sim. Have a look at some of the new Pro tee launch monitors, you can fit them to the ceiling for both lefties and right handed players, don't think they're cheap but supposed to be really good.
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 I’m actually trying out a ProTee VX for the first time next week 👍🏼⛳️
@hcpgolf No probs, like I said love the GC2 but a real pain for lefties, think it was the VX I was looking at, is there 3 different ones? Might see if anywhere does part ex for my ForeSight against one.
this is my goal
How far away from hiring screen are you? And how far away from screen is projector? Trying to gauge safe distance of hitting area vs projector location (ceiling mounted) while swinging driver.
I hit from 10ft away and the projector is about 15ft away 👍🏼
Impressive looking setup. I would have space with width of 11 feet * lenght of 12 feet and hight of 8,3 feet. I am a shorter guy do you think this sort of setup would be doable?
It can be done - you would just need to use a photometric camera style of launch monitor. Here are a couple of videos that might help you with room size & launch monitor selection th-cam.com/video/_pJBQmVArII/w-d-xo.htmlsi=80hepY-vD7Ft-c1M and th-cam.com/video/I_vrYm5phq4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1Iy_pcBcS88vTMjZ
Hey Mitch, what ballpark figure are you paying for the unit?
Have had the GC3 since it came out and it’s worth every penny. Have to decide if you want something you can take to the range if you want or an overhead unit that gives you a bigger hitting area plus allows lefties to play easily as well. Obviously, budget dictates everything.
I think I’d prefer portability but I guess that doesn’t matter in this day and age as plenty of ranges now include top tracer. Trackman iO would be tempting but a bit to steep price wise currently. If we had uneekor more readily available in the UK I would definitely consider those ⛳️
Well done you should get a gc3 or gcquad
Thanks mate, GC3 has potential GCQuad is a little out of my budget at the moment!
Great job Mitch... Well done!
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
LETS GOOOO
😍🙌🏼
Nice job! What is the golf course at 7:34?
Honestly can’t remember from the top of my head but I think it’s Forest Dunes (not sure which hole) 👍🏼⛳️
I am hoping you can help me . I have fs mevo plus with pro package with benqlh820st and it’s run tru a Lenovo laptop. I want to run on 3 screens so I can see all the numbers 1 is laptop screen 2nd is a 43in Vizio gaming tv and 3rd is impact screen… I am trying to run this all on Gspro software so I get best course possible…. Can you please help me make this setup work properly
Hmm I don’t have any experience setting up 3 screens I’m sorry. I imagine you’d need HDMI cables from each device going into the PC/Graphics card, then a case of extending the PC screen across those 3 devices and dragging the preferred windows to specific screens?
TrackMan iO - for that setup it has to be
Which projector did you buy?? The link is just showing a default benq "choose-one-of-our-projectors" page...
It’s the BenQ LK954ST 👍🏼⛳️
Thanks!... What a price 😮#highroller 😉
slightly more room ha...very nice
Just a little 😂⛳️
Could be awesome if you could get the image around the sidewalls to, then you are 100% on the golf course
Congratulations, well deserved! Hopefully further down the line, you’ll be able to buy the space instead of rent it!😏
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
V useful guide. Cost-wise £10k-£12k, of which approximately £5k is the projector. Is this about right? Cheers, John
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️ yes, that is pretty much correct
Gc3 would be ideal mate
I wouldn’t complain if I had a GC3 👍🏼⛳️
I’m interested to understand why you didn’t use bungee cords over cable ties.
I’ve used cable ties at the top and bungee cords on the sides
It’s what was recommended by Golf Swing Systems. As a professional company it’s what they always use for their installs, so I just went with their advice 👍🏼⛳️
Makes sense.
Dont waste your time with a skytrak + the "upgrade" is guessing at club data. I tried and was the biggest mistake i made. Now using gc3 what i should have used first. Sim looks brilliant
Thanks mate. Ye I think I’m leaning towards a GC3 at the moment ⛳️
How big the screen?
4.9m wide and 2.85m high 👍🏼⛳️
Anyone happen to find foam tiles like these in the US?
Well done. Loving my protee vx
Thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
What size is your room?
5m wide 6m long 2.9m high
I’d look at getting a GC2 Mitch, save yourself a fortune on the GC3 as you can get a good one between £2200-2500 👍
That’s something I have looked into in the past and heard numerous times they are great 👍🏼⛳️
You got a discount code?
Did you miss it? 👀😂
@@hcpgolf 😂😂 great new setup bud
10,000 isnt that bad but the question is, how much is the rent for place like that?
Bush2theNell
If they sold it over here I would definitely consider it!
@@hcpgolf I forgot about that little snag. That’s unfortunate. Your learning center is looking dialed though Mitch. Well done sir.
Uneekor eye xo all day
Will look into it 👍🏼⛳️
Def the gcquad
I’ll get saving 😜🤣
Lost interest after you said England would win the Euros this summer… only joking 😂😂 great vid bud 👍
🤣🤣🤣👍🏼
Really nice but it's not in my budget. not going to spend $10,000 of a sim.
Fair enough, fully understand it’s a lot of money 👍🏼⛳️
Maybe Golfzon launch monitor? The new room looks awesome Mitch!! 🏌♂⛳😀 Happy Easter!!
😂😂😂 thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
@@hcpgolf I am talking about the Golfzon Wave? It's cost about 3000 if I am not mistaken?
Nice upgrade, impressive work! I'm going to try to copy you later this year! Following to get to know your selection of launch monitor, thinking of the proteeVX myself, have you tried it?
Thanks mate I appreciate it 🙌🏼 I’m trying the ProTee next week to see how it is 😃⛳️
