Ashland Retreat - My First Skyrim Settlement Mod (Working Progress)

  • Here we have my first-ever settlement mod for Skyrim Anniversary edition. As I enjoy Roleplaying as a Dunmer character, I found there were very few locations to have my character setting. Ashland Retreat is a run-down settlement deep in the ashlands of Solstheim built by the Ashlanders and refugees from Morrowind following the Red Year.
This Mod is a working progress as I still need to clutter, Nav mesh, and add a few more buildings, and NPCs. However, I am very pleased with the progress so far.
If you have any advice, please let me know.

Holy moly, a new video! 😀 It's great to see you upload more Skyrim content! I know I can't appreciate Solstheim as much since I've never played Morrowind but it's definitely my favorite dlc area. Even after all these years modding Skyrim still blows my mind, your settlement mod will definitely add more life to Solstheim! Looking forward to seeing your progress, always good to see an upload from you! 😁
Also, seeing those netch brought back some silly memories, be sure to treat them better than I did! 😆

Thanks Becca! Its good to be back on YT again after a solid 8 months. Thought I would use some of my free time before going back to work. I thought I would let those poor Netch live in peace for a little while, I remember you hunting them down for that quest!

Thank you for sharing about your project! I imagine how much work it had to cost. I tried to get into modding once but let it go as I had not enough patience and after work as a programmer and designer I needed some change, not to be again a programmer and designer, in fear that after ending the project I won't be able to play it anyway knowing how all works. I'm looking forward to further steps in development!

Thank you very much for stopping by my old friend. It has been quite tricky getting the NPCs to behave and getting everything to clip together but I’m enjoying making it.

Nice! I remember you saying you were finally doing a Dunmer roleplay, they are the best ES race. I dont have an ETA, but hopefully before the end of summer.

Just wondering how to do mods in Skyrim. Looked really cozy place! And Morrowind aspect looked really familiar. Morrowind music will always bring summer days to my mind. I remember when I played Morrowind and suddenly there was thunder. It was so real thunder noise that you could not be sure whether it was game or outside.. 🙂

Hey Silverian! If your wondering how to download mods, there are many good tutorial on YT, the Skyrim Nexus site is where thousands of mods are. If your wondering how to make mods, you can download a program called the Skyrim creation kit which is very good for helping you to make mods.
Its funny that Morrowind reminds you of summer, Oblivion reminds me of the winter. I remember walking up to Bruma where it is cold, and it was snowing heavy outside in real life too.
