  • Wearing Rings and the benefit of stones from an Islamic perspective.
    Read from website:
    www.sheikh-alsa...
    A Sunni perspective on rings:
    www.sheikh-alsa...
    Agate (‘Aqiq)
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said to Imam ‘Ali (a.s.): “O ‘Ali, wear an agate ring and you will become among ‘those who are close’.” Imam ‘Ali (a.s.) asked: “O Messenger of Allah, and who are ‘those who are close’?” He said: “Gabriel and Michael.
Imam ‘Ali (a.s.) said: “O Messenger of Allah, what ring should I wear?”
He (s.a.w.) said: “A red agate, for it had confessed in the Oneness of Allah ta’ala, in my prophethood, and in your succession O ‘Ali, in your children as the Imams, in those who love you with heave, and the followers of your children with Firdaws.”
Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said: “I want every believer to wear five kinds of rings, in an agate, for it is the most sincere to Allah and to us…..”
It repels poverty. Imam al-Ridha (a.s.) has said: “The ‘agate repels poverty and wearing the ‘agate repels hypocrisy.”
It increases in rizq and sustenance: Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) said: “Whoever from among the followers of the progeny of Muhammad wears it, they will never see other than goodness, and expansion in sustenance.”
Increase in the reward of prayers: Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said: “Praying two rak’ahs with an ‘agate stone is equivalent to one thousand rak’ahs without it.”
    Hirz Sharaf al-Shams:
This hirz is written on a Yellow agate stone. A talisman is written on it, and it is also called the ring of Solomon (a.s.). It can be written only 1 hour in a year.
It has many benefits, especially in repelling all kinds of evil. Protects from many things.
Repel of evil eye, increase in rizq, luck, sicknesses, nerve problems, muscle problems, back pains, strengthens lung, kidney, liver, etc.
    Turquoise (Feiruzaj/Feiruz)
Looking at it strengthens eye sight.
Putting it around the neck will cure sicknesses; strengthen voice tone, cures lung and breathing problems.
Brings success in everything, and prevents from dying a bad death.
Strengthens the heart, makes it more patient, relieves it of depression, stress, tension, mental and nerve problems, and it brings tranquility.
Repels negative energy, especially repelling evil eye and envy. It is similar to the ‘Aqiq, in that it helps in repelling all kinds of disasters and calamities, and it is considered an important Hirz in easing things and increasing income and rizq.
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: “Allah the Almighty said: “Verily, I am shy from a servant who raises his hand has a turquoise ring on it and I reject his hand with disappointment.”
Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) said: “Whoever wears a turquoise ring will never be poor.”
    Red Yaqut, or Ruby:
Cures problems of the heart and blood, cleanses blood, prevents heart attack.
Red ruby strengthens the libido of both genders, cures problems of sterility, relieves menstrual pain, eases birth delivery. Brings respect among people, love and compassion.

    Blue Yaqut, or Saphire:
Strengthens the nerve system, cures epilepsy, migraine, headaches, lack of sleep. Brings positivity.
    Helps with rheumatism and joints,
    Peridot (Zabarjad)
Repels Heart sicknesses, eases the digestive system, cleanses the liver. Cures skin disease, especially eczema, scratching, etc.
Takes away grief, depression that comes from loneliness.
Repels envy and takes it away from your heart.
Makes your soul light, kind, generous and harmonious.
    Emerald (Zumurrud)
Prevents epilepsy, especially if there is a history of it in the family.
Controls the nerve system, and prevents all nerve problems. Cures blood clots, blocked veins, and blood problems. Relieves muscle pains, back pains, strengthens eye sight.
Strengthens digestive system. Repels magic, brings love and affection.
Very good for pregnant women, eases delivery.
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: “Wearing an emerald ring repels poverty.”
    Durr al-Najaf
    A kind of Quartz.
One of the mustahab stones to wear in a ring. Wearing it is equivalent to a Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage.
The reward of looking at it is similar to the reward of looking at the Prophet (s.a.w.).
    It repels evil.

He got it wrong. Yellow Sapphire and Citrine are not the same. Yellow Sapphire is way more expensive especially High Quality Ones along with the cutting and number of carats. Citrine is only expensive if it is in high carats or the way it is cut. Yellow Sapphire has hardness of 9/10 and Citrine has a hardness of 7/10. It is easy to find citrine without inclusions, where as Yellow Sapphire with zero inclusions are super hard to find especially in high carats.

@@Sosahersi- I think the Shaikh is speaking about the hadiths concerning ahl-ul-bait(اهل البيت), those whom the Prophet spoke about in the hadith-th-thaqulain(حديث الثقلين)and the hadith Ghader-kum (as well as many other hadith),and ALLAH(تعالى) has mentioned them in the Glorious Qur'an in many places, for example surat 3 verse 60(the mubahila) and surat 33,the last part of verse 33, the purification dealing with the incident of the mantle; and other versus mentioning the virtues of the Pure Ones. these versus will make clear to you who the ahl-lu-bait are, then you will know which hadith books to read, and among those narrations will be found narrations of the ahl-ul-bait concerning precious stones. remember that the Muslims have been commanded to hold fast to the Glorious Qur'an and the Prophet's(ص)progeny.

Just be careful not to believe in the power of stones as Allah is the only one that has power to keep evil eye away and protect us. There’s no harm in wearing it because it looks nice and the prophet wore it so it’s Sunnah but just be careful not to associate it with anything other than our creator who will save us from poverty, illnesses and evil. Islam is made simple we just pray and we will be protected inshaallah.
We don’t need to believe a stone will provide us these benefits only Allah can provide peace and happiness.

Sorry but all these informations are incorrect because Islam is against all these supertitions. There is no gem stone that can protect you or increase the amount of your prayers, only The Almighty can do that. This is basically everything islam came to erase from those old arabic tribes. There is no story of the importance of gematones in islam. The only hadith that is 100% correct is that the Prophet PBUH used to wear a silver ring on his right hand. Wear any ring you want but don't think that it will do something to you.

      Summary:
"Regardless, I appreciate that this video was made, that it is available, that the contents of the various Hadith and traditions which exist around the world be revealed and available to people, and that people not be ridiculed for sharing historical knowledge that was also likely widespread among Muslims in the past as well as today. "
      Fuller version:
There are many Hadiths which sound blasphemous and have "strong chains of narration" and are included in major Hadith works and collections (including the major Sunni collections like Bukhari). All these come from the area which used to be the Persian Empire of the Sassanids it seems. They also seem to differ from the style and nature of what is said in the Qur'an. Yet, the vast majority of Muslims currently and the ones they consider their scholars and leaders are very attached to these sorts of statements, to the point of hostility and rejecting anyone who denies the statements which seem blasphemous or seem to weaken Allah through descriptions of Allah's qualities, behaviors, acts, even appearance at times (seemingly a favorite pastime in some Hadith literature). May Allah guide you in particular through the mine-field that Allah has generated (as promised in the Qur'an) to demonstrate the purity of your God-given understanding.
Only those that Allah selects can parse through and realize what is true and what is false and what matches to the qualities of the All-Poweful and what are blasphemous statements (which many adore and love and are deeply attached to). In the end, it is said that Allah will judge between each and all of us and what we used to say and dispute. You can't go wrong though, in rejecting anything which makes Allah even sound "conditioned" or "influenced" and reduces the sense of Allah controlling all things, being responsible for everything, and the ONLY Power in every sense, "All is from Allah" and "Allah controls everything" even the "holding up of the bird" that we see in the sky any moment.
Here are some interesting verses for you to look up if you are interested, and you may like to do so at a great resource for study called www.islamawakened.com/quran
"Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so willed, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone" 6:112
And among them are the illiterate who know nothing about the Scripture except lies, and ˹so˺ they ˹wishfully˺ speculate." 2:78,
47:3 and others may be enjoyable to see also.
Regardless, I appreciate that this video was made, that it is available, that the contents of the various Hadith and traditions which exist around the world be revealed and available to people, and that people not be ridiculed for sharing historical knowledge that was also likely widespread among Muslims in the past as well as today.

@@SheikhZaidAlsalami Wa ʿalaykumu s-salam. I'm not here to argue about Wahabbi Shia or any other sect. I'm here to make a point. Allah has given us Quran and Allah has given us whole life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH as an example we just need to believe in that and follow it's teachings. We need to seek refuge from all evil things from Allah. And Allah tells us this in Quran
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
      The Sovereign of mankind.
      The God of mankind,
From the evil of the retreating whisperer Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
From among the jinn and mankind."
      Surah Nas.
Only Allah can protect us from evil and we should seek refuge with Him only. @@SheikhZaidAlsalami The beauty of our religion is that we don't need any means or mediums to have a connection with Allah. When we stand in Salah, Allah places us in His presence and we can ask Him of anything. Indeed Allah has given us everything we need in this dunya for every ailment and sickness there is solution out in the world we just need to search for it. I'll just come to the point brother we need to believe that everything good or bad comes from Allah and we need to beg from Him only rather than wearing a stone and believing that it would somehow make me rich or something. Everything comes from Allah so we should believe in Him only. And trust me when we believe in Him even if the whole world comes together Allah will be sufficient for him/her. And if you want to deeper into this conversation please mention the exact reference so that I can also authenticate it and increase my knowledge as well. If I tell you that so and so food has so and so benefit, will you also use that phrase? Allah (AZWJ) put these benefits there as a rahma, both for the stone and the food. Of course, the effects take place with God's permission.

No one is praying to these stones, No1 is replacing God with these stones, No1 actually believes these stones are more powerful than God.
