彼得生(John W. Peterson,1912-2006）已服侍了他的世代回到天家
約翰.彼特生 終其一生，除了創作出一千多首詩歌，更為人所樂道的，是他還譜出三十五部清唱劇。其作品，對於 1950 至 1970 年代的基督教福音詩歌貢獻之大，實難以 形容。他所創作的詩歌旋律不但動聽，也都會深深的打動人心。約翰 ‧ 彼特生所創作的詩歌之所以會如此感人，乃 1942 年，二次大戰期間，他加入 美國空軍服役，擔任飛行員。由於他被派往中國、緬甸、印度等地參戰，深刻體會到戰爭的恐怖與生死的無常，因此，在戰爭期間，也就是他屬靈生命 特殊經歷的日子中，譜出了許多動人的福音詩歌.
