    These educational vids are simply the best. Loving the abundant knowledge you've been sharing. Thanks so much for these, Catherine-San.
    Nutrition becomes so much more vital with age. The younger a person can start eating healthy the easier the habit becomes. Huge supporter of oats. Been eating oatmeal everyday for years now. Not the most exciting of breakfasts but the health benefits are immense. 🧑‍⚕

    Another thing that's good to add to oats is eggs. When I'm bulking I usually heat up around 100g of oats in the microwave and then take it out and crack two eggs in there, along with some cocoa powder, cinnamon, and maybe a tiny bit of peanut butter, followed by some honey on top. It's very nice but pretty calorie dense. To make it a bit lighter you can use egg whites/less oats.

      hi I’m trying to gain weight and I want to do this but so do you heat it back up after putting everything in? Or just eat the eggs raw? 😭

    • @BigDome1
      @BigDome1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user87255 I mix the oats with water and microwave them for 3 minutes so they're really hot. Then when you take it out it's become porridge and you can put the eggs in quickly before it cools down, they will get cooked in there. But I try to stir it really fast, otherwise the eggs end up kind of in small cooked pieces, which is not very nice. You want it fully mixed in as quickly as possible so that it properly becomes part of the porridge. For weight gain you could replace one egg with a tablespoon of peanut butter instead, as it has way more calories. And you could also make the porridge with milk instead of water. I try to avoid too much dairy because I don't like the way dairy cows are treated, but otherwise I would have it with milk.
      Also adding lots of olive oil to food can be a good way to add calories, unless it's specifically muscle youre trying to gain (olive oil has no protein but is really good for you.) I also eat spicy chicken thighs/hummus for lunch most days during a bulk, loads of calories there.

      Yeah that would be good! I tend to avoid animal products in my own cooking but I do the same thing with cocoa (except I use cacao!) cinnamon, and nut butter, usually almond. And I put whole walnuts in there too!

    The amount of microplastics in our food is horrifying. I hope we can undo what we've done to the ocean one day, but I can't really see a way that we can. It's kind of devastating to think about.

    • @catherineeASMR
      @catherineeASMR  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh no I meant to relax not devastate! I do agree though, I think the solution will come in the form of mass extinction of humans at some point tbh

      @@catherineeASMR hope not. I think we'll discover some kind of miraculous filtration process to get the plastic out, but by then we'll have other problems to worry about 🤖
