I ordered 3 shelves for $124. I followed the instructions closely when installing. The top shelf fell forward within a week. The second shelf last 6 moths before falling and chipping. The shelves are very heavy so it was fortunate no one was in the shower when the second shelf fell. I removed the last one to be certain it didn't fall on anyone. The shelves looked great and worked well until they failed. I wouldn't recommend using them without additional support. I'm researching if it's worth trying to reinstall the 2 shelves that are undamaged.
Embedd the shelves a couple of inches inside the wall. Since it will be installed post tile-installation, the hardened tiles will take a lot of weight too but one still needs the cantilever mechanism.
could I use the gorilla heavy duty adhesive to add shelves and stuff to my tile wall showers? what about those showers that are just one unit, I don't know what material is it but its not tile?
Do you think the double-sided tape and superglue would hold the weight of the shelf for a 25-minute JB WaterWeld?
Yes I love it! My favorite thing about it is that there is no interference when cleaning the floor underneath 😄 besides it looking great, of course ❤❤❤ Hehe your pup taking when you're talking is the same problem I have with my birds 😁 5:24

There is no way that lady is 140lbs but either way. I use this apoxy a lot. Mostly for tooling purposes and found that it is the strongest at about 2 weeks. Then it starts to become rather brittle and tends to crack away from anything that it doesnt have a complex mechanical bond with like a carbon or glass cloth. I would expect the bond to be highly degraded after 1 year. A ten minute apoxy might get you a little longer. This would be an ideal application for 3M DP420 apoxy. These are just shelfs but the tendency to slip and try to grab whatever to catch yourself in the shower might be worth the cost of dp 420. You will probably will need to rig up a support for it while it cures due to the longer cure time but it shouldn't be to hard.

This is great!! But only if walls are perfect 90 degrees.
This is why we use double sided tape on the edges to make contact to the wall when it is not 90 degree. But of course if the gap is bigger; then , you need to have the shelf cut on the edges with a wet tile saw after the right measurements taken (recommended to be done by tile professionals).
It’s good show for epoxy of soap shelf, once two side have small part can recessed wall will be more strong, we have produced before.
My tiles are not smooth. They have a "lumpy" texture which I believe to be the reason suction cups and some self stick tapes will not stick. Will this adhesive work on a textured tile surface?
As long as the wall corner is close to 90 degree this epoxy-glue will stick and hold.

Thickness of the double side tape and epoxy are different. Epoxy will not be in full contact with surface. It will come out later.
This is a Gel-epoxy that we use... its not the regular liquid epoxy. Gel-epoxy does fill the gaps between the shelf and the wall. It hardens and stays put based on all the tests we did.

We have choices; Some shelves come with glue and others dont. You would need to choose a listing that says "Install Kit included" if have to mount over the existing tiles.

What if we have 3d tiles...?
We have-not tested on the 3D tiles. But the wall does-not have to be flat... based on some of the testing we have done on the brushed slate tiles .

I have only 3m vhb double sided tapes and thwmisto milky white stick glue gun.. Can i done with this?
3m vhb double sided tape is fine but stick glue gun option may not be a good choice. We haven't tested these stick glues... yet, we believe it will not work properly. Below is the name and brand of the main epoxy glue we used for your reference.

It looks good but that will not hold in the long run, epoxy does not stick to the polish face of tile or marble and is not water resistant, this will fail over time, I'm a marble installer for over 20 years.

Can this be used for installing glass shelf? Have to keep teddy.
Unfortunately we haven't tested this on the glass shelf yet.
So far marble, travertine, limestone, granite and ceramics are tested and works great.

Thanks for your comment. Making a slot in the wall where shelf can be inserted is certainly what we recommend but that is for people who have the right tools and are able to. But this technique is the easiest for people who don't have the tools and don't want to cut the tiles or drill holes in the shower wall. The specific glue that we use is super strong and well passed all the tests we have done as long as installation instructions are followed correctly.
