CHARISMA: When you have an idea, don't put it out there like that someone will steal your idea and run with it. Not until you have things legalized and paper work done.
I agree! But honestly, if someone else steals it and runs with it, I can only be happy because it’s needed! Don’t worry, I don’t share all of my ideas!
It already exists in the UK called DIY SOS the big build. It started as a regular show where they put peoples disasters right, now it’s almost entirely focussed on changing homes and making them accessible for people in need.
I can see it from Cole's face that he is happy having Charisma by his side as partner n best friend, who he can share his mind feelings and vision with, Oh! this is the reason why there is a connection between them,Cole u re so fortunate to ve her( an experienced person) n who also loves U. You are both blessed.
Wow....just watched Queer Eye: Disabled But Not Really. And I'm upset with the two of you Cole & Charisma because you forgot to warn us to have a box of tissues. That episode left me so teary. It truly was the most powerful and impactful thing I have watched in a long time. Thank you for doing a review on it. Love always from South Africa🇿🇦❤
i also loved about the episode that wes is a single dad. and his remodeled home didn't only make it easier for him to take care of himself but also of his daughter.
I realise this is an old video and probably won't be seen but you might want to look up a TV show in the UK called DIY SOS where it is mostly houses unsuitable for a person with a disability and the local community join forces and donate their labour to renovate the house in just 9 days. In Scotland there is a grant fund to make homes accessible and its a legal requirement that every new build house has an accessible entrance and toilet. This turned out to be incredibly useful after I ended up becoming a wheelchair user a year after the family home was rebuilt! Thankfully it is a bungalow but it meant doorways were wide enough, most of the outside doors were on the flat and we had a walk in shower.
This really touched me way more than I expected. Lately I've been struggling with my own journey in letting the world know who I truly am. Wow. I am so proud of you guys. Thank you so much.
Confession time....I found you guys when you visited Shane and Hannah for their benefit...I was still trying to find the "groove" of your channel (I assume...) but right here...at 14:56...I'm hooked and I want to see more from you guys. I love that Charisma is thinking about the bigger picture and trying to actually change the things and improve our world in the future. Charisma, you are not only a beautiful woman but a strong and smart one as well!!!! I hope you take us on your journey, as you show the world just how much we could make it more inclusive and assemble, for everyone. ❤
Thanks guys for information to makes us able bodied people more aware of our surroundings and how life can be made easy and more accessible for the disable in wheel chairs.
Watched it and it was great. I grew up with an disabled father. I saw how hard some things were but his attitude was always "this is my life". He always lived life to the fullest and put his kids first.
I love watching the two of you, No, all of you the whole families. I'm new just started watching yesterday evening. I was up until 0130 and started watching again today about 0900 and at 1835 I had to stop. I was suppose to be working on my job search at age 60, was let go from my job in 09/02/2015 accused of accepting an autograph and souvenir from an NFL unknown to me Patriot football player. Anyway, I love how inspirational the two of you are. I work in the Emergency Dept. as a Healthcare Technician and prior to that one of my job was working in rehab. After watching video after video I'm thinking of at my age going back to college to study OT or PT.
1:10 I followed your directions, I watched seasons 1&2 a long time ago. I loved Wesley’s energy and his story. Great episode, especially now. Continued blessings!
Yes watched it and loved it.. I have a disability as well but I had a stroke when I was the age of 2, I can walk but get tied pretty quickly. My right side doesn’t function. I like the phrase “disabled, but not really” I also have a heart condition. I found your channel a few months back. Thank you for sharing your story and day to day life.
Thanks for sharing! I watched the episode because of you two. He was amazing and I just loved his story and transformation💕. Never watched before. I am going to go back and watch all episodes! Amazing men
Ok, so I just want to say I love ya'll! I just started watching your channel and you both are so inspiring and great together! Keep spreading the word, kindness, and love!!
*New subscriber* My wife introduced me to your channel on Tuesday (the 23rd) and I decided to watch from the beginning. It took me 3.5 days but I watched ALL your videos. You two are such a cute couple and I can't wait to see what's next for you both. Also congrats on the engagement! 💛
the thin you said about reaching in supermarkets works the other way too, there are people that can stand but can't bend to the low shelves. they should be able to ''rotate''? (not sure thats the right word) so that all the shelve can be brought to the height the individual needs. shopping is tricky for so many people.
Just a thought. Why not instead of putting product A on the bottom shelf, product B on the second shelf, product C on the third shelf and so on, put product A vertically across all the shelves from top to bottom, product B next to it the same way and so on. (I hope you can understand what I mean here lol.)
@@connornickerson3061 I understand completely and have always thought that too. I am tall and am constantly helping height challenged individuals (my mom was tiny) and she relied on others to help her shop before we came along. What you propose just makes common sense and should be like this in all stores, not just grocery stores. If we could get just one store to change and it receives national attention, others will follow . . .
I love queer eye and this was one of my all time favorite episodes. I'm really glad that they accurately represented those with disabilities. I hope you're able to get some coats hemmed, Cole! I love the ripple effect that the show has.
I have been talking home reno show for the disabled for years! So many people live in homes that aren't suitable for their accessible needs and they have to compromise function and independence. Expectation is often that the disabled always need to make it work instead of it working for them. And then there is the issue that accessibilty is tremendously more expensive, homes, transportation, clothes, etc and it has to be absorbed by them and their family. Having a home that a person can live, function, and be happy in is important and shouldn't be difficult or unatainable. After years of looking, we finally found an accessible home and moved in last month. What a difference!!! Life is so much easier for my son and for me as his caregiver, but it has come at huge financial cost. It needs to be more affordable for basic needs.
Thank you for telling me about this episode, it was amazing and inspirational. I’m an interior designer and following barrier free standards, but so much more needs to be done other than the basics. Love you two sooo much & congratulations on the engagement!💕💍
You guys are awesome!! Love you both more each new episode 🥰🥰🥰 Your idea is amazing Charisma, I hope you guys make it happen in time. Love from Nigeria 🥰😘🤗❤
Thank you for sharing the Wesley Hamilton story. Such an inspiring story not just for the disabled community but for the human community. You guys are such an inspiration as well. I subscribed to your channel a few months ago, and I just love you guys. So thank you for opening up your heart and your lives
I have been following Wes Hamilton for about a year & a half and I had all intentions on watching his story on Queer Eye, but I've been too tired every night. But after watching you guys review the other night, I had to watch Wes story right then & there! And you were right, it was awesome!
Hey y'all!!! Just seeing this vlog. But I did watch that episode on Queer Eye. It was such an amazing transformation. Not only for Wesley's home, but even his attitude. He seemed to be pretty positive and happy with his life...but it was just such an emotional episode seeing all the love and forgiveness. I'm just happy this opportunity was given to him.
This is very inspirational. It’s good to know how others are coping with their disability. I’m glad you brought us ( squad) with you , to appreciate other people and Wes , you rock👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💃🏽♿️💕💕
Good morning Cole and Charisma , good to see another of your fabulous video... thank you for education video as always... that been said, I am going to watch that episode ... I will let you know my thoughts... have a great day.
I just watch it and I just cried happy tired it was very education and more comfortable for him now and that him and the guy came face to face that was great and I like your idea about you and Cole do makeover house for disabled people and I think that a great idea I will support that idea because we need more people like you and charisma do help our disabled people I love the video and Wesley too stay positive and peace love ya guys 😍😍😍😍
Hey I've missed you, it's been forever! Thankyou for sharing that info so I could check that out. But there was a show, like the extreme makeover where they did two houses, and one of the house was for the family's oldest son who's a quat like you Cole. But yeah it be so nice if thay could do something like that for people like us.
Hi, guys! I just wanted to say that read your interview with River City Magazine this morning. Just like with all of your videos, I found myself smiling the whole time. =) Much love from California, specifically the Bay Area!!
So I paused and watched Queer Eye! First Thank you guys for sharing this, because I had just got to season 4... Wesley personality and smile just gives radiance to all around.... What a Awesome young man, doing great things... Also Wes is a single dad also, this new make over is going to be good for his daughter and him bonding while cooking...
I enjoyed the episode thank you to everyone that recommend this show it always inspirational to see anything showcasing us with disabilities the same thing he struggled with far as getting around/being more independent I struggling with since birth but I never let that stop me glad to see other people doing the same #yourollthechairDontletthechairrollyou
I love the title. It’s sad how his story unfolded. I’m happy to hear there was some closure to his story. Cool that the show was able to help him. Hey Siri..... find Cole a tailor. I so get the wanting things accessible. It’s one of the reasons I love your vlogs. It gives me ideas for my own challenges. Y’all should totally build houses.
Cole and Charisma, it’s crazy how I just got done watching your video and I walk into the living and my sister is on that episode too. I just watched and loved it. Thanks!!!🙂🙂🙂
I was thinking the same thing..?BUT..Reality TV..tends to go for drama and negativity somehow the networks thinks all the drama contributes to ratings Cole and Charisma are too nice.....
Love watching. Your interest in others is very inspiring. Continue your love for each other ❤️ and also others making it more joyful to watch. Cole 💕 Charisma.🙂❤☺💕😇
For the supermarket shelf thing, it would be great if they did a conveyor belt type shelves. Not sure if it makes sense lol.
I watched it and fell in love with his smile. I think if y'all could do a video together it would be so amazing. I liked his ex thug look but when he rolled in at the end for his mom and daughter the man was SHARP😏😉😎. Love the channel have been with y'all for a long time, don't always comment but watch every video. Thank you for always being your true self in front of all of us. Sending you nothing but positivity and love from Dallas,TX.

I see you guys growing together by leaps and bounds. You talk together as if you are one. Charisma is so enthusiastic about making the lives of disabled persons more independent. Great job guys❤️
I totally agree that a show would be amazing! My husband is deaf and people don’t realize how inaccessible daily life truly is for deaf/hard of hearing individuals because it’s an “invisible disability”. We’re so used to our daily life and we take for granted how easy things are for us. There are so many people who need different things to just get by in daily life. Even down to going through a drive thru and getting fast food, my husband can’t do that without assistance. It’s really eye opening when you have someone in your life who has a disability. Y’all are amazing and a huge inspiration!❤️
I agree with universal designs. I have experienced some mobility challenges and you are right about accessibility. We need to be considerate in thinking about access for all people. That would be the start of worldwide acceptance.
I paused your video to go watch that episode and I LOVED IT! Wesley smile and laugh is so contagious! Although I was sad they cut his hair that short 😞 I liked the braids better 😞 also the 5 gay guys were so awesome with him and I loved the house renovations and the outfits! I hope one day you can contact Wesley and do a collaboration with him! That would be amazing ❤️
