    Thank you for a great presentation. One of the best ones on TH-cam.

      As for the Capacity shown on it, yes it will show the mAh it was able to put into the battery. When the Capacity Cutoff feature is ON, it knows exactly when to Stop charging. It doesn't matter if you stop the charging process and start it again, it will only charge the battery, until the Capacity Cutoff is hit. So using that feature is always a very good idea.

    Another nice how to video. You showed a lot of functions/information I didn’t even know existed. One thing for sure as you mentioned the b6 charger does a poor job balancing the charge on each cell.

      +Gimp Man Thank you ! Yes, the ImaxB6 charger doesn't do to well with Balancing. That Radient RC Charger keeps each cell within .... 001 Volts. That's Very Precise.

      +Big drone flyer77 Yes. I've had that ImaxB6 Charger for quite some time but prefer the Radient RC Charger.

    it is written, to prolong the health of a lipo dont fully charge it. so if i charge a 4s 1100mah lipo,that is currently at 3.2v/cell, if i set 1000 as the capacity cutoff would that help keep it from being fully charged?

    what will be the Pb battery(45 Ah, 12 V, 6 cells) cut off voltage?

    My friend got the same charger but it takes 5 hours to charge a 3s lipo when mine charge them in a hour and half,, i did notice my capacity cut off is 5000mah and his is set at 10000mah will that make the difference ?

      He most likely has it on the wrong amperage. I purchased a 5200 mAh Floureon Charger as well as a 50W iMax. So, your friend either got the wrong power cord (The connector that they don't supply in the kit) with the wrong voltage and wattage rating on it or they don't have a powerful enough charger, like I accidentally purchased a maximum of 5A while needing 5.2A. So, tell your friend to double-check the specifications on this item. Or, if I am wrong, he might've gotten a defective charger. Hope this helps after eight months!

    With the capacity set to 1000mah it will try to put that much into your battery even if its half charged already. do doesnt stop early if you already have 500 mah in the battery.

      Setting the Capacity Cutoff, will stop the charging system. As long as you have a genuine, Professional Charger/Discharger. It can read the "meant" voltage and capacity through it's micro processors. So, if you set the Capacity CUTOFF to 2,700 mAh, the charger WILL Stop, when it has reached the limit. You can see this by the LCD Screen on the charger. It should show you the mAh, put into the battery. If the battery is in "Storage" or >7.4 volts, the charger will only put about 1,300 mAh into the battery. Based on its Current capacity, when you begin the charge, no matter what level, the battery is at during the beginning.

    What is capacity cut off

    • @MarkSuttner
      @MarkSuttner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Capacity Cutoff, is a feature of a professional charger. The charger uses it's micro processors, to ensure that the battery does not overcharge or over discharge. Using the Capacity Cutoff feature, allows you to input the mAh capacity of the battery. So if you have a 2700mAh battery, you set the Capacity Cutoff to 2700mAh. This ensures proper charging or discharging of the battery. You could think of it more simply by thinking of a water carton. If it says 1 gallon, you would not poor 2 gallons inside it, right? Thats "capacity".

      @@MarkSuttner but if the lipos aren't fully drained too 0, which you don't want, but if they aren't do u still set the capacity cuttoff at what MAH your battery is?

    • @MarkSuttner
      @MarkSuttner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, always set the Capacity Cutoff to the exact MaH rating of your battery. That way, even if it says the battery is fully charged, only depending on the voltage, you can still see how much capacity charge has been put into the battery. LiPo batteries can be challenging. Any Pro charger can charge them to what they think is fully charged. Example, for a 2700MaH 2S battery, the Voltage should be at 8.4 when fully charged. 4.20 volts per cell. However, if you have the Capacity Cutoff feature on, you can look at was actually able to be charged into the battery. I've had 2 501SS batteries fail on me. But it's because I wasn't watching the chargers information.

      @@MarkSuttner thanks for the reply, so once it's fully charged, what it says its put back into the battery, that's what i set the cutoff too? Or, always what mah my battery is?
