You perhaps entered the wrong info from your battery. I've not had it not auto detect the battery to ensure safety. If it won't go past that, it's to safeguard you and your battery.

Balance checks all cells and makes sure the current gets evenly distributed between all of them (3 in this case). You can also just balance the battery, which means re-distribute the current until each cell has the same amount
