I'm from WB and my ancestors are from Bangladesh.Northeastn cuisines(esp tripurai and assamese) have a big influence on Bangladeshi recipes. When i watch your videos it makes happy that finally we have someone to introduce the mainland indians with these tasty offbeat cuisines.Thank you so much and keep up the good work.XOXO ❤❤
1stly congratulations 🎉🎉Nambie ....related to ds video background sounds are like therapy..just lay down close eyes n feel near to nature...dat soothing 💕
I've read that it's one of the popular dishes in Bhutan. It's simply a mouth-watering dish and I'm craving for it. I'm quite sure it is delicious to the taste. I'm going to try cooking that awesome dish one of these days. Informative video! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe and how to prepare the dish!
Thank you, Nambie, for the video. This is the first time I watched your video and have just subscribed to your channel. Am gonna try making this Phaksha Bexuk.
Montagnards as in 'upland Khmer' ? Glad to meet you and I am really glad that you like the recipe .. Even we are mountain dwelling indigenous community.
Eat Your Kappa Montagnards indigenous Central highland of Vietnam and Cambodia we are not Khmer or Vietnamese , the Vietnamese and Khmer they are not the native.
If i may correct Its Phaksha Bazum ...not Phaksha Bazuka. I recommend you to boil the potato first and add red chillies and others ingredients later to avoided over cooking dried chillies. Anyways good one.
I’m a half Bhutanese and I’m kinda learning to cook(cuz of this pandemic). So I was looking for the recipes of Bhutanese dishes and I came across this so I guess I will be cooking(mostly failing) this today for my fam 😁
I will soon. If you have any interesting recipes please do feel free to inbox me or send me a mail. I will shoot it and upload with your name mentioned in the video :)
Nambie - what other veggies can we include? Btw - your way of cooking is very simple and nice. I made the dry fish chutney and it turned out to be a super hit at my home.
Bhutanese here! I haven't heard about or saw this dish ever. Phaksha is Pork but what is Bexuk? Our only pork dish is called Sikam Paa. I should say it's northeastern pork recipe.
@@EatYourKappa I had pork with bamboo shoot from naga kitchen from naga kitchen pan bazaar....am not getting the same taste till now, I have tried several times but am not getting the same taste...is there any artificial flavouring agents hotels using?
Just came across this video. I am Bhutanese and there is no dish called bexuk, so it’s quite misleading. And we usually add chillies at last so that it doesn’t get overcooked.
Only red chillies where are the rest of the spices, try some Gorkha recepies also which I think is the much advanced among the north eastern cuisines, since we have varieties of cuisines and the excellent art of cooking, not just bolied and blant stuffs ...which I guess every tribes of north eastern region should learn it We have list of cuisine which we prepare occasion wise , every spice which we use has their own story
Beautiful recipe, will try and comment again.. keep posting. Love from Kolkata
Let me know how it turned out.
This is good I'm going to try your pork recipe . Back in the Philippines

Sure, I will try and get the recipe from my Bhutanese friends and make one in the future. Thank you for watching.

Thinley W I'm a Boro living next door to Bhutan. I think phaksa laphu (pork with radish) is a most awesome Drukpa dish.
By saying Bhutanese she is actually refering to bhutia people living in north east part of sikkim n Darjeeling. In my openion.
vivek singh those are not Bhutanese mind yoi
singh this is not bhutia dish ...
❤
Nambie...i miss your video....n really i am in love with you. Love from arunachal

Hello I am Bhutanese outside of Bhutan thanks for the awesome recipe Dede. What if I only have fresh chilli do I do it the same way?
Really not sure if you can do that with fresh chilies .. Maybe you can try and see.
so ravishing, God m starving.
Yummy....😋
You need to add white raddish too..
Can we make chicken also in same recipe?
You can always try making it. Go ahead and experiment with it .. let me know how it came through.
Is it cooked potato or raw?
Jadoh recipe please
Nambejok keep it up....
I like u to cook in nature with all sounds of nature, use hd camera like almazan kitchen
For how long do you boil the pork ?
If you are boiling raw pork, ideally you would boil it for 45 minutes. I am using pre-cooked pork to make the recipe and hence did not boil much.
Eat Your Kappa 😊 thank you
@@EatYourKappa boil with salt only? Or anything else?

You are soo cute.. I prepared it, was yumm 😋
Did you use cooking oil at the beginning?
NO not at all , the fat from the pork itself is more than enough for the dish.
It’s called phaksha sikam not bexut just a correction
Are u Bhutanese?
I like ur cookin but you should go deep 😊 I respect you as I alys love cooking# No hard feelings..

I think u shud mention that the pork is pre cooked
I love your videos but I’m sorry Bhutan is not apart of North East India. Bhutan is an independent country. Thank you.
