Every week I’m interviewing fascinating people in our community, nation and around the world.
Colin Mochrie is an improvisational comedian best known for his appearances on the British and US versions of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” He has performed live all over the world and been in television shows and movies.
I had a fun time chatting with Colin and we even played an improv game called “Yes, And!” Here are the questions I asked him:
How did you get into comedy?
What do you do when you tell a joke and nobody laughs?
Can you tell me about your most embarrassing moment on stage?
If you weren’t working in comedy, what do you think you’d be doing for your job?

Last Christmas daughter got me a cameo from him. I watched that show with my kids when they were growing up and we all just loved it. Just thinking about the video brings tears to my eyes. He mentioned how he knows I don't celebrate Christmas anymore (I can't afford it now) but that my daughter wanted me to know she loves me very much. My 15 year old cat had passed away a few months before and he mentioned my Max by name. It's funny, writing this I'm crying....I still struggle over losing Max....but my son-in-law got me a kitten a few months ago and she came over and bumped me with her forehead. Her name is Lucy and I'm grateful to have her. Got a little off subject but it was such a wonderful video he made for me. He seems like such a kind man...and he and his wife are animal lovers too!
Lucy will never replace Max, but hopefully she's helping in her own way. It seems like you have a good family.

Absolutely love Colin. I've seen him on Who's line is it anyway & he's so quick along with the other cast members. This was a great interview. His advice to always listen to people was so good for a young person to hear. Good job Emmy!! "& yes" Nate we heard you in the background lol.

I had watch Emmy's interview of Ryan Stiles and it was great. She seems even more confident here and she's doing a wonderful job. Colin Mochrie was very interesting to listen to. His advice about listening to others is so on point!
