It's been a long time since your videos have been put into my feed. It's good to see you again; the boys are getting big! Good luck with your next endeavor! -Scott
not likely to be able to get back in a house like that again is the reality. i mean you can but not at the price you bought it for. you make good points it really comes down to what makes you happy
I really hope what you're saying is true, some of the reasoning just doesn't make sense. Liquidating so you can expand your business makes sense, selling your house because you can't stop renovating and cleaning it is crazy talk.
Exactly their reason really make no sense what so ever. The low interest rate that they themselves said to have on the this alone is reason enough to keep it and at the MINIMUM turn it into a rental. Now unless there is some other more private reason they are selling or are having to sell for then it makes no sense to sell. I think from past videos it was mentioned that they have to farm the land as part of the loan conditions so maybe it was a USDA loan? And they don’t want to do that anymore then just say so but whatever I guess.
Definitely have missed the vlogs but totally get it! I’m in a similar place in my life that I jut want to downsize and not have so many “things”. Over the last few months I sold my “dream” boat and truck because I realized we hadn’t used them in over a yr! I came to the realization that things mean nothing but memories and experiences are everything. So we are working on getting debt free and doing more family activities. As always you’re not alone brother. Best of luck!
@@yeabuddy6070probably had to do with political reasons that they don’t want to mention since the online space is so polarizing and taxes would be another main reason to move to Florida since they run a business
The both of you are so wise and you guys are on the same wavelength and will live prosperous no matter what you do in life. Best of luck on your new journeys to come.
Been following you for 8 years or so. Life shifts in different ways and what you described in this video is what I experienced recently turning 40 years old. I GRINDED so hard in my late 20’s and all of my 30’s to provide my wife and kids everything and more, all the travel and luxury stuff, etc. I realized last year I was working and not living and not enjoy my little kids growing up. People who have never experienced the grind will not understand wanting to be debt free and just the fact of living your life. We only get one chance at this life and the greatest legacy we can leave behind is raising a good family and kids who can go out to be good human beings. All the material things are not as important as people think. Nothing but respect.
17:32 . Glad you see that. I am 49. That is a bit how i feel about my last 30 years. "It just slips away" couldn't be more true words. My wife and son and i jusg came back from a small trip for a few days. I listed all the trips we have made in the last 10 years..saddening (4-5) our last one together was about 4 years ago.
Good for you guys. You're relatively young and there is a TON of life ahead of you all. It's awesome that you two have checked in with each other and shifted focus together as a couple as life continues with it's ups and downs. Good luck Powell Family!
Bro been watching your videos from almost the beginning! It was kinda weird not seeing any new videos lately but glad everything is working out for you and your family!
As someone who went from owning nothing and living in my truck (I thought it was my dream) to now owning a house I can 100% agree the dream isn't always what you think it is. The past year I have been working like crazy and selling everything to get out of debt as well. At the end of the day physical objects don't mean anything. There's always another house and another truck.
Haven’t watched your videos since the covid era. We did the same thing at a point in our lives, sold it all and moved to FL to start over in a place where my family could live the life we wanted to live. Keep pressing on!
I always say the most important thing you can have is paid off property because it is a safety net. There are solutions to the small issue like cleaning. I am also a business owner and have purchased a home. It is definitely a fixer upper and we are putting the work into it. My thought is that I will leave something behind for my kids that can also be their safety net.
Loved this. You and your family motivated my family and I to explore. Was bummed when the channel steered a different way, and I get it. You have to do, what you have to do. But glad y’all aren’t forgetting to live. I still drink from my coffee mug everyday! Let me know if I can purchase an Outsiders Media decal for my rig. I’d love to support your brand!
Max I’ve been a sub to your channel for many many many years, I’ve seen you and your beautiful wife grow as a couple and as parents to those awesome kiddos. I wish for you and your beautiful family nothing but the very best (as always) in your new endeavors. Can’t wait to see what you and Des have in store. Still hoping to meet ya someday and shake your hand bud!!
I think this is the best decisions y’all have ever made. I could tell the house always seemed to be a problem, probably not evident to most but it was said through your faces and your interaction ruins in past videos. I can tell, even with the house not sold yet that a burden has been lifted and y’all see so much more carefree and happy which is living. So stay on this track.
Dude I feel like you been MIA for the last 2 years, it even got to the point where I thought you dropped TH-cam. Glad to see the family’s doing great , you are one of the most underrated channels on TH-cam , great content
Maxx keep up the good work as time allows. We all can get super busy with life and fam yet we need to remind ourselves to take breaks when often needed. Best regards. Greetings from Glendale, AZ
I think that’s fantastic you guys decided to do that and as always, that Tacoma has turned into a beast and I’m glad you didn’t sell it! Glad to see videos back again.
I have been watching you guys since the beginning and you have never disappointed. Thanks for all that you do and good luck selling your home!! Also, good luck in the next step in life. 😊
This is an awesome move, and I love seeing people like yourselves realize and be able to shift. It isn't an easy jump, but if you and your partner believe in what your mission is, it will work great.
Here comes a long one guys but I just gotta say it, it’s been such a pleasure finding your youtube channel way back in the day just before you got carol 😅 and to follow along and watch you guys grow as a family has been so friggen inspiring!! I’m not going to go into all the details of my life over the last 8ish years but I just want you to know that you really did help me take a different perspective on life and showed me how to not be afraid to live the life that you want to live. I have so many good memories of watching your videos (you named your cow Tim after me) 😂 but the biggest thing I have taken from you both is how united you guys are in your life that you are building and also the way you are raising your boys and taking them along for the journey and not stoping the adventures! Is it weird to say that I’m proud of you guys ? Hahaha honestly tho I owe allot to you both and I’m grateful 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I wish your family the best of luck in this new chapter and if you ever find yourself wanting an adventure in BC let me know !!!
I’ve been following your journey from the start. You guys are gonna build Outsiders into something massive & this is just the start. Wishing you well! #DontForgetToLive 👊🏼

My wife and I reached this point in our lives last summer. We bought a van and rented our house out long term and hit the road full time in our van back in June. My wife owns her own marketing business and I quit my full time job in May. The amount of clarity after not chasing the dream has been incredible. I cannot recommend it enough.
The house and all the toys are awesome, however nothing wrong with wanting a change of scenery, the pictures and memories will live with you for ever of the ole place!
Glad to see you and the family are doing well. Been around for a WHILE. Still wear my don't forget to live shirt from some time ago. Excited to see what the next endeavor is for y'all. Much love, Chris.
Keep the updates coming, I’m very curious what lies ahead for you all. Like… where the heck are you going to live and the family details like, are you going to home school and what not? I am working in public service like you were and I’ve always thought about living an “alternative lifestyle”. I don’t know if you are going that route but it will be fun to see what you guys come up with! Are you going to start making TH-cam videos again or just mainly focusing on the business? Best of luck to you all 🙏🏻. If you are ever near Utah County and need anything let me know.
Buy small plots of land in the area's you see your self frequenting. Set those plots up with a small septic/water, and RV hook ups. Buy a motor home that can tow whatever rig you plan on keeping. When you are not using said plot of land VRBO style rent them out for folks traveling. I am sure your company has you traveling a lot so this would make the family life much easier. I’m doing the same thing. Every month I try to sell something or cut something out. Trying to make up for a decade of blowing money on toys instead of building assets.
