I started doing this now for 2 months about 4-5 times a week. I start with warm and then the last 3-5 mins freezing cold shower (I live up north). The thing that has amazed me the most about it, is that you actually get used to it after a while. Before I couldn’t even get in cold water without yelling like a 5 year old. Now is no sweat. Stick with it, gets easier!

Thanks for the helpful post. You made me laugh today when you spoke about how you use to yell out like a five year old when you first started taking cold showers 🤣

If you have heart disease, resist the urge to adopt a cold shower routine. Your body’s reaction to cold water puts added stress on your heart and could lead to an irregular heartbeat, or arrhythmia.

It was a extremely hot day today, and usually I need to cool off or pour cold water over me, so I finally took a cold shower because I see TH-cam videos all the time on it. At first I start out with hot water for a minute to get comfortable than I turn it down, it took a couple minutes than I got use to it. Real doctors will also tell all the amazing benefits of cold showers, I love it now, occasionally I still take a hot shower if its cooler out.
