Ferrari V12's will always brighten your day! Share with a friend who needs to hear it
Me too. Any ole' V12 will do just fine 😂😂
Being nearly 70 years old, it's funny seeing these 'collector' cars that I clearly remember from my youth. I can remember this from high school; it's so beautiful. The car mags back then used to take these to Nevada to test because there weren't speed limits on some roads.
Who had a Ferrari 365 in your high school?? 😳
Back in the day Bill Harrah was big in the Ferrari and collector car world in Las Vegas. Road & Track would borrow his cars for review. What’s really funny are the cars that connoisseurs would turn their noses up at in-period like a Ferrari Dino that are now selling for $700K. Would’ve been inconceivable back then.
The car is 55, dude
I think he means HE is 70 years old...
@@JeffreyWilliams-dr7qeyou sound like ai. You should learn English
This is "THE" engine sound by definition. Greetings from Italy
we need to return to these chunky tires on sports cars, they look so much better than the skinny stuff we have today
Ferrari really knew how to do exhaust tips!
Perfect and instantly recognizable!
Lovely sound and thanks for letting her sing.
Thanks for watching!
Having this engine sing for you while cruising along is like having a personal orchestra play a soundtrack for you while you walk around town
You're bloody killing it with these classics on show.
New cars I get to see on the road but these old ones only in museums.
Kudos for the good work!
Keep it up 👈
i love those old ferrari they are true legend
What a car. So elegant and it sounds so good. This is the era of cars when the Ferrari mythos was born. Truly brand-defining
I'm a simple man, I see a V12, instant like.
If you think about it, this is kind of like the first M5. Big enough and practical enough to fit people, groceries and calm enough to drive everyday, yet a beautiful, and capable drivers car with a potent engine under the hood to give you performance when you do want it.
My gosh.....it's just beautiful and amazing. Just ridiculous what a nice driver it is, and who ever set up those carbs has them dialed to perfection. Wow!
Bang on! I’ve driven a few with rough tunes but this was perfect. It took partial and wide open throttle perfectly without skipping a beat. It even idled great hot and cold
@@TedwardDrives It's absolute perfection, top to bottom. Not a single rattle or clunk going over that metal plate in the road... just dead quiet. That little "You're ready, right?" bark when it first lit after hearing the starter spool it, was amazing. And the fact that the revs drop right back to "safe-to-shift" mode, and it's still carrying enough torque to pull through the clutch release, and smoothly continue accelerating. Sounds and "feels" like maybe it's long stroke with a heavy crank and flywheel?(I don't know anything about them). I love the body lines and the sexy, thin, chrome, window pillars. Also, that sort of unfinished, race-car back end. Literally just; "The design ends here." Amazing machine, and I appreciate how you drove it, including just letting us listen along with you.
The gates man is the gate…you almost feel the sensation as he clicks that shift into each gate
I restored the anodized aluminum window trim on one of these a few years ago for a Ferrari restoration shop in WI. I think the closest I'll ever come to driving one. :) I love these videos living in Watertown, recognizing the local roads.
14:05 great attention to your mirrors
sound definitely gives murci vibes
Yo that soccer mom in the red SUV got way too close.
YUPPPP. I had my eye on it and moved right to add some space when she made that pass. Absolutely no respect
This is basically the closest relative of Daytona, another 365 before it good the cool look that we know and love. This is fitting considering that today is the world premiere of the new 12Cilindri which is inspired by that look.
Stunning machine!!
That v-12 sound is intoxicating, every time. ❤
Bringing the underappreciated classics! Love it. The greenhouse looks amazing.
Always love seeing a tedward video in the recommended. My brother just picked up a fl5 type r last week and your videos were definitely a part of the reason for getting that car and the si we had before that. Thanks for all the cool drives!
Thank for watching!! Congrats on the Honda!
Columbo V12 Ferraris are just *chef’s kiss*.
Imagine driving this in 1970. Incredible today, but back then compared to the regular cars on the road, wooooww.
Seeing an aftermarket radio I would put on my 2004 civic on a vintage ferrari is hilarious to me
Seriously, why would you even have a radio in the Ferrari when the V12 Soundtrack is all the music you'd ever need 🏁
It’s the way the engine gains and loses revs that’s most special to me. You can tell by that alone this motor means business.
My friend's dad had one of these along with the Rolls-Royce Bentley silver cloud I remember seeing this car in their garage in 1973 or 4 the man was the pathologist for the area I remember seeing him driving around town once n a while. It was the only Ferrari in our small town.
In all cases this the most beautiful car of this parking..😁😁👍👍.
It is always a delight to watch your videos and realize the knowledge and respect you have for these very special beauties which you drive accordingly. It is moving to watch the needles in the dials wobbling (soooooo Sixties 😅). The oldest Ferrari I ever got to drive for an enjoyable stretch was a 365 GTB Daytona, and oh how I loved it. Years later I was able to buy a second hand 550 Maranello which had its great moments too until everything went haywire (engine, gearbox, front suspensions, exhaust…) That was just bad luck and I still revere the V12 Ferraris of the past. Being fairly sensible I drive a contemporary 911 and love it as well 😎
Thank you!!
I enjoyed the ride. Thank You very much. Like driving a Stradivarious
Putting a modern sound system in a classic car, specially a Ferrari, is a crime!
It’ll never be turned on. Don’t worry lol
Music to my ears
Lovely example of a very well sorted, almost 6 decade old, 'exotic' car. Really enjoyed the vid!!
Thank You!
Thrilling even at 40 mph!
Thanks for the ride! Tho I get the differences, the driving very much reminds me of my 1969 Fiat 124 Sport Coup (sans all the power, exhaust notes, extra gauges, fancy leather, etc)
Truly a collectors dream
That was a nice experience!
if it's a classic I already know its from bond group
To be honest! I think Enzo Ferrari would be driving the Jaguar E-type.
naw...he had peugeots
Looks like something the mob boss in The Italian Job would get around in.
14:05 made me so anxious, you can tell nowadays that they'll just hand anybody a license.
That realllllly pissed me off. I just kept it cool and put more space between them and the Ferrari.
Bet the interior smells nice
Love this
So I guess I do have to rob a bank or two and just buy my own v12 Ferrari. If you turn on the news and hear of a middle age woman getting arrested, it could be me.😂😂😂❤. Another great one Tedward🍻
I’ll do some fund raising for your bail!
Wow, what a Beauty !!!
“Almost 5 meters long” = ~197 freedom inches (?!)
3:52 honestly I would probably prefer a non matching car with some patina. You can put a couple thousand of miles on it without destroying its value
Not wrong! But even with an odometer loaded with miles, if you keep the engine maintained and body in check I think it'll hold just fine.
Very nice car.
What did they do with the turn signal and wiper stalks?! They look like they came out of a 80s Fiat!
Thanks for the drive!
I had the same question. I do not know haha
@@TedwardDrives probably broke the original stalks and had a heart attack when they found out how much it cost to fix! (About $2K) Somebody came up with a cheaper solution.
Not bad for an exotic of that age.
Incredible to feel the difference in handling between a 69 Ferrari 365GT and a 69 Pontiac GTO. This thing really knows how to get around a corner
I know it's the wrong year and not the EXACT model, but there's no way in HELL that I can see this without thinking of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Chick..chicka chickaaaah.

I got you!
In the 80's these were not even especially expensive.
When the 308 was $55k these were $25k
This makes me want a 400i
I think the 400i and 412 are so beautiful. Fully underrated….but I bet the automatic gearboxes are dogs 😆
How can you properly drive one of these without smoking a Marlboro? That chrome thing on the console ain’t for pocket change haha!
I have asthma but it was still tempting
W video
What road are you driving on in Waltham with no cars in front of you and what time of day is it. I live in Watertown and am hard pressed to find nice roads to drive my sports car on in this area.
Ferrari 👍🏼
Awesome!!😎😍I bet those EV's gonna be just as cool 50 years from now... eh.... not!!🤣
Who is bon group and well fam Massachusetts
I thought you had to skip 2nd gear until the engine warms up in these old Ferraris?
A lot of old transmissions are very unhappy when cold. This was pretty warm when the video began but even when driven cold it just requires a patient touch and it’ll happily go into gear.
some say the jaguar e-type is the prettiest car of the 60s, some say ever.. id say, every ferrari from the 60s beats the e-type in looks.
me personally think the e-type isnt pretty at all.
Day 45 of asking Tedward to drive S60R
On the hunt!
@@TedwardDrives There is no way. I'm so happy! This car has been a dream of mine for ages. I've recently got my hands on a 2.0 180hp version, but one day I'll get the real deal :)
Very pretty. But not 330GTC pretty. And certainly not 250 Lusso. If I had to choose from that era of Italian suave-ness, I'd still choose an Iso Grifo.
Very happy to have filmed the 330GTC and Iso Grifo on this channel. A lusso should be coming soon but there are a couple 250's of other ilk
@@TedwardDrives Any chance to be in the presence of a Lusso is a borderline religious experience. There are very few things ever formed of metal that match the Lusso for "rightness". Not a line out of place.

This car is fantastic !
😆 “my Tesla would smoke this!”
Ok. ✅
@@TedwardDrives 😂 exactly !
That car is begging for a Retrosound headunit. I love Alpines but that thing is so out of place.
😍
Not the most attractive Ferrari. That window/roofline was copied on the Chevrolet Vega 😂
That is like ear Viagra!

Are those fram filters on a Ferrari? Gross.
