I had the privilege of meeting James and Bob twice once in Covent Garden and he signed copy of A Street Cat Named Bob with his paw. I will treasure it forever and pass it on to my granddaughter Ava who adores cat's. Here family have two cats Ember and Domino and where Ava is you can be sure to find the furry boys. Can’t stop crying when I got the news (2 days after bob left). Can’t imagine how James handle the situation. I am sure most of us here are cat lover. So we know the pain. James you are not alone we love Bob and million of people will remember him 😭😭😭😭😭
I am like you, I can't stop crying. Bob was such a wonderful and special cat and I can feel James' pain, especially because I loist my big ginger boy just a month prior to Bob's passing. My boy was also run over like Bob, for sure the car was speeding in a 20 miles/ hour zone. Being taken away from us so so suddenly and far too early was very traumatic and although time heals, I will never really get over it. The only consolation I have is that my Clarence once was a stray just like Bob and he got lucky and got a second chance in llife. He had a very good and happy life with us, he was very much loved and he enjoyed every minute of his Dolce Vita! The same applies to Bob, he was very much loved and had a very good life, I hope James can see this despite all his pain. R.I.P sweet Bob and sweet Clarence🌈🌈😻😻♥️♥️
Same here! I am a cat person. I purchased his book ‘A Gift from Bob’ a couple of years ago and didn’t read it until recently. The book is so good that I don’t want to put it down. James and Bob went through hard times together. Their strong bonds moved me to tears. I didn’t know Bob passed away last June. I cried so hard thinking James must be very sad losing such a good soulmate and become alone. To my relief, James has a wife now and no longer has to worry about his gas bills! I love Bob!

Sorry for horrible sad loss.. I lost 4 cats past several yrs and latest one was one of my male rescue. Roger was smart , playful n beautiful Grey tabby. I cried for a long time. It's so unfair that their lifespan are so short compared to humans 😔

I had a cat that traveled with me everywhere. He knew that if he was with me, he was safe. Just like Bob understood that he was safe with James. There is nothing like that bond so deep in one's heart. And you know that the cat felt it too. I lost my little guy when he was 14 in 2020. There is no greater pain of the heart. And I know James felt that too. I can only wish you peace.

Oh dear, how absolutely heartbreaking. I hurt so much for James after watching this and finding out what happened. I am praying that James can heal and not loose hope along the way. I am alone in the world too and have my 2 cats now but previously I too lost my best friend kitty and it was devastating but hang on because God will bring someone into your life when you don’t think you could do it again and it does bring happiness once again. I came across thIS Movie by random today, halfway through on SBS. Just flicking through channels.. I was so engrossed I downloaded it in it's entirety via a diffrent platform. Then performed numerous google searches.. Well I am now blown away.. The connection that James and Bob had is just so beautiful, touching and really just so special and one of a kind. I have been so taken aback and touched by this truly amazing story I can not stop thinking about it. I have always thought that cats had a special connection with us, beyond comprehension. I just have learned of Bob recently and I am so sorry about your loss. I can feel the pain...I have been there losing my Koala of 17 years and when I thought that part of my heart would never mend...a beautiful wonderful highly intelligent Turkish Van showed up in my yard. "Tinker" has healed that wound and loss I felt for Koala and I hope you can find a new "Bob" to help heal your pain.

I had a cat that traveled with me everywhere. He knew that if he was with me, he was safe. Just like Bob understood that he was safe with James. There is nothing like that bond so deep in one's heart. And you know that the cat felt it too. I lost my little guy when he was 14 in 2020. There is no greater pain of the heart. And I know James felt that too. I can only wish you peace.

Then performed numerous google searches.. Well I am now blown away.. The connection that James and Bob had is just so beautiful, touching and really just so special and one of a kind. I have been so taken aback and touched by this truly amazing story I can not stop thinking about it. I have always thought that cats had a special connection with us, beyond comprehension. Oh my God...this shouldn't just be appreviated to OMG...I cried hearing the newer version of Over The Rainbow...and more tears over the loss of Bob. I just have learned of Bob recently and I am so sorry about your loss. I can feel the pain...I have been there losing my Koala of 17 years and when I thought that part of my heart would never mend...a beautiful wonderful highly intelligent Turkish Van showed up in my yard. "Tinker" has healed that wound and loss I felt for Koala and I hope you can find a new "Bob" to help heal your pain.
