All you need to do is remove the top. It's a little tight but doable. The wire color doesn't matter either, it's a normally closed contact. Thanks for sharing.
do you know how to test the thermal limiter?
Do you know where I can purchase the front drum support for this dryer?
You can go to our website and enter your appliance model number to view the parts breakdowns to be sure you get the correct part for your model.
+AppliancePartsPros it's not listed in your site.
+AppliancePartsPros it is the support shown at 4:28 on video. the drum tilts and knocks without it.
The drum should be riding on the front and rear bearings not on this, if the drum is riding on this something may have been put together wrong. It is strange that that piece is not on the breakdown if you give us a call with your model number we can research it. 1-877-477-7278
+AppliancePartsPros I did already. I was told that the part is for "shipping." That makes no sense.
I relocated mine to be accessible next time without taking the drum out.
It would be best to mount it in the original spot as the manufacturer designed. It is a safety device set to fail at a set temperature.
