I routed the elastic straps on his kayak through the H-Rail on my Hobie. Worked pretty well but have to be very careful when casting 😏 That’s awesome on the 16lber! Future world record fish right there and one heck of a parent!
Crazy to see the difference in location at the same time of year and water temps. I had two days in early March I went back to back trips with 17 bass and then 20 bass, but I was in 8-10 feet off piers. This appears to be real shallow, maybe 2-3 feet? I'm sure you don't remember but any idea if the tide was falling or rising here? Just got to 16:45 I almost woke my wife up in bed I snorted so bad
I’m def still learning these waters here. This year is my first time fishing it in the Spring. Tide was incoming and high and you’re right, water depth was only 1.5 - 3 feet in the area u was catching them. Pad stalks around, but there were also pad stalks elsewhere in the cove without fish on em. I really think the key was this small area having the higher water temps. 😂😂 at 16:45

lol, I noticed that as I was editing the video. I knew we were close quarters out there, but looks much closer on video. Ima have to tie him off to my left side next trip. I’m good, but I don’t wanna let my ego end with hooks in his head lol
