Without info on how to convert .svg files into .ttf or .otf, this tutorial was sadly a dead end for me. It was great to follow to make sure all of my letterforms looked uniform, but I was hoping for a little more.
Hey, I've just asked ChatGPT to answer this question. Apparently, it tells us to use a font creation software like Fontself Maker or Glyphs to import our vector glyphs and generate a font file (OTF, TTF, etc)
Added Value: 02:46 = instead of select white parts one by one just select one of them and go up to the menu select > same > fill color and you'll have all white parts selected then press delete I hope this will help
Hi thank you so much for the tutorial, i just curious enough after i save the file as SVG what should i do in order the tracing become a fully funcional custom fonts? i;m still confused by that point. i hope my message will able reach to you.
WHY Dont you REPLY to the issues people who watch your video are having??? Like this one from over a YEAR AGO: "Without info on how to convert .svg files into .ttf or .otf, this tutorial was sadly a dead end for me. This is a really creative and helpful tutorial. There could be many instances where clients would like to have their own unique font. Thanks for sharing.
Well, thats a waste of time. So confusing and why did you do the same thing in different methods over and over yet didn't actually show how to create a working font? Why draw the fonts when you did all that using image trace? What are you actually trying to do here? All you showed us is how to vector the letters.
Dude, this video is super helpful, you can convert SVG from internet photo, afterwards, you can generate fonts by "font forge" from SVG you have done. Generally you can convert any fonts you are interested from internet to your own fonts, isn't that helpful?

So irritating isn't it. Did you ever find a good tutorial/methodology? If yes, please let me know.

why would you do all this work to remove the background and vectorize the photo, if you trace it with a brush at the end?!?! OO

I'm planning to create a font using the pen tool
Do I just expand the type to create my own font ?
In Imagage trace menue / Advance you cand check (ignore white) that way the programe will not recognize white as a shape that has a fill
What size (measurements) should the image file be before we move it from Photoshop to Illustrator? Mine is huge in illustrator.
Soo much quicker and easier doing this with Corel Draw. There are just too many steps to do this in illustrator.
Ive created all the letters and stuff, but i can't do the image trace for some reason...
pointless. this is not a font. these are just letters in svg.
