    Thank you Sir! I was battling some rusted exhaust bolts and was banging my head on the wall. I sprayed penetrating oil on the bolts for two days prior to working on them. You suggestion worked with flying colors. If you are ever near Pueblo, CO I will take you out for a cold one. Thank you!

    good video. My Dad taught me to soak it with liquid wrench. When bolt breaks loose, go back and forth so you can clear the rust from the screw when loosing it. This technique prevents bolts from breaking and a weird place.

Grinder, saw, grinder, saw and a few of those 1 sec panic moments from both shoulders getting stuck between the car and the ground. • @handymanPF
      @handymanPF  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s great, but would you agree that your method would produce poor results with a rounded off bolt in which case you would need one of these extractor sockets amzn.to/3lBUuU8

    • @budthechud3408
      @budthechud3408 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@handymanPF true,once rounded there is only a handful of ways to get it off,but I've had extractor sockets shatter,break,round their teeth off and fail before thus resulting in the hack saw and Dremel with diamond wheel methods. But removing as much rust as I can with the wire brush and drill method then hitting it with pb blaster has many times yeilded far more easier results for me.

    • @handymanPF
      @handymanPF  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s very common. Especially if you live in the north and get a lot of snow. The salt and whatever else they put on the roads for treatment during winter months just tear cars up. And it does form something like a weld and a real bear to work with.
