One of the biggest harvests on record in the Moree district and 95% is unaffected by weather
It’s been flat to since the last week of October. And phenomenal yields with it. Even pulse crops have yielded exceptionally

On the new JD software, the chaser tractor is controlled by the header, using gps. The header driver can speed up and slow down the chaser tractor.

The grain testing was very interesting, they do a great job at something that would be so repetitive, where do all the weed seeds end up? great vid

They are screened out during processing. That’s why the quantity matters

Good morning. Tim, fantastic video, the Technolgy is amazing. I have not seen drone footage of the header working before, so that was brilliant. And I forgot to mention that the young lady grading the grain was brilliant. Obviously knew her stuff & explained everything really well. I was gobmacked at the extent of the bunkers, In my travels I have seen 3 or 4 bunkers at a facility but not the number Broadbent's had, Cheers

They were really kind and supportive of the story too. I owe a great debt of thanks to Greg and the team from Broadbents for such great hospitality. This video represents weeks of planning!

Had to look up Paradoxa grass, its a species of phalaris, Phalaris paradoxa. I wonder if its actually that species, or just a phalaris in general.

I'd love more explanation about it getting tougher at night with blades snapping - is he saying that the plants are tougher to cut? Or are they more likely to hit rocks etc?

      Plants get tougher

Dry plants absorb more and more moisture from the air as it starts to cool down at night. So much moisture it won't burn. Not always, some nights it will stay bone dry. All depends on the conditions.

The stalk gets tough at night as night air cools down , which makes it tough to cut forcing cutting blades to break
U hav to operate to conditions ,slow down.
