This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Pierce Brosnan is so slick and so smooth. He really owns in this one. And Rene Russo is the ultimate player opposite of him. She's not like the other actresses that were opposite of him.
Toughest choice in the history of movies is TCA 1 v TCA 2. Both have Faye Dunaway. Pierce is shockingly competitive with McQueen, I didn't think that would be possible. Russo: brilliant, nude & sweaty at 43, where no movie had gone before. Women can be desirable > 40, this movie proved the hypothesis. Experiments have since confirmed it. TCA 1 was touched with the idiosyncratic genius of Jack Weston. I liked the chess. I liked Boston over NY. And the violence in the TCA 1 heist? Not sure which way that tilts, TCA 1 was an edgy-hedgie. Leary was better than Burke, though Leary can be uniquely vexatious, he wasn't here. Good use of him. For once. Points for the impressively precocious use of the word "arbitrage" in TCA 1. TCA 2, his source of wealth is vague. I give the nod to TCA 2 because of Russo. She carried it. TCA 1 had the edge otherwise, though, unbelievably, Pierce tied McQueen. Nobody else ever did. A humble if loquacious opinion, excuse me.
Just before this scene he says "not bad for a wee lad from Glasgee, it was easy rich kids canny box." A real Glaswegian would say "nae bad fur a wee lad fae Glezgah, it wiz nae bother, rich weans canny box."
@@ninoslavradic873 I'd say it is a coinflip whether he might just be trying to flex that he has seen the original, or be a boomer with youth sentiment. Tiny sliver of a chance he is just a person with poor taste ;)
@@dogkungfu8510 / The opriginal is nothing special... cool plot but that's all. This re-examination is batter, better actors all the way around and a more refined movie. Dunaway is solid but it drops off hard after that
Not a TATE fan but this dude said andrew tate is insecure when he let other men smashes his women in front of him because he thinks that makes him more of a man
This scene never gets old. Pierce and Rene is Epic! ❤️
Dude Is too smooth. Love Pierce.
The Thomas crown affair is my favorite movie and I'm going to puck it as a fun Friday movie to watch and make a fancy foods to match the movie theme
That smile of a rogue of him could be me when i get asked something salacious
So much elegance even in eating.
Rene, a redhead. Stunning beauty with a lot of poise. Elegant. But faye dunnaway twice her age is a vision. In her cameo.
Classy lady
Classy and memorable scene.

Dropped your Fedora on the way out of the cinema, pal.
First recorded use of the word humble in the same sentence as loquacious
Great movie
Rene is so beautiful
Giallorosa insensibile privo di scrupoli ma gli attori sono in grande forma. Orgoglio italiano per i Ristoranti "Le Cirque" e"Harry Cipriani"...
What does he say? Would you like another HEAD of espresso?
Hit.
Another hit of espresso.
Hot Hot BEST Bond! Guapo

Yeah, it was off.
Watched this for that. I'm the same. Rich kids can't fight
But, if it was more “authentic” probably 99% of the audience could have understood it.
I never would have caught those words. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Watch and learn how to handle a classy woman you guys lololol
👑 ❤❤❤
Not a bad remake
but in my book
The original is
A cut above
McQueen can't be touched!
Good but the original is still better😎
Why is it better?
Nope

I kinda wish I had seen the original first. Comes off as boring, imho, after watching this version.
