I like your comment "the spiral continues. From the first time I saw the triple spiral it said to me that these people were aware of eternity. Somehow they felt what science has discovered since we somehow lost the intuitive knowledge.

Didn't see the live but I am watching g the recording from Rhode Island, USA! What an incredible testament to the Pagan way of life. Pagans made the best and most advanced monuments in the world that still stand today. Leaving us a world of wonder and beauty! I saw the great pyramids of Egypt. Egyptian Pagans went above and beyond. And so much is still being discovered all over that our an esters left for us to find. I love all of it! Tha k you for this! 💜💜💜 As a Norse Pagan with Norse and Celtic heritages, I absolutely love learning more and more about the old ways.

Watching from Pennsylvania-I visited Newgrange in college in 2008, today I’m celebrating the winter solstice looking back on this rare opportunity to feel connected to our ancestors and wonder what they knew. Thank you for sharing your insights and this remarkable footage. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy year 🙏

First, thank you for this wonderful clip...1st day of winter has been respected among the Aryan race since they settled mostly in today called Central Asia/ Greater Khorasan/Persian Empire...I have to say from the time the Aryans did agriculture 1st day of winter became = the first day of hope and getting ready for the next season of hard work on the lands...in addition, the last night of Fall/Autumn is a huge celebration with fruits of last seasons works. This celebration still functions up to the current time among all Iranian cultures (today are 10 or more countries...+ all over the world...). It is called Yalda - Night or Shabe-Cheleh. Listening to this great information reminded me of my beloved ancestors (Aryans) knowing the exact time of equinox of winter as well as spring, summer, and fall. Iran's calendar (modern one) was established by 4 equinoxes in 1925.
Thanks again for this great clip, from Maryland -USA.

I disagree that the passage tomb would have been built during the precious summer months when everybody would be hard graft at growing, foraging, hunting, wood gathering, building, preserving food for winter etc.
Winter would have been the time of communal effort over several generations. Maybe dragging the large kerbstones over ice would have been a good option.
Winter is when there is not so much to do.
Just got back from visiting Bru na Boinne. Absolutely stunning. Awesome in the true sense of the word. You Irish are a friendly, laid back kinda people.

    🔺 23:14 bookmark
🔺 Note: agree the Winter Solstice, is the beginning of, rather than "mid"
Likewise, the Spring, would actually the "The Beginning of" the 4 Seasons, thus "the Year", thus the actual "When the New Year Begins" (not January 1st).
This then corresponds with the Astr Aries ♈
BTW: (December 25th doesn't correspond with the actual birth of Yeshua/Jesus, that is estimated to be in March +/- in the sign of Pisces ♓, and it is said that Constatine selected December 25th, as it was an existing Roman Pagan Feast Day, and he was attempting to make the transition to his "1 State Religion" easy for the Local Population. "Marketing" comes to mind.
The facts always find their way to the surface, given time. ✨

This video plays into so much theatre and departs from archaeology. It accepts controversy for fact!. What a shame it's not taken the time to be factual. Let's get some more dollars out of the Americans Ireland, what an embarrassing shame by our OPW.
