Cloudy morning at Stonehenge, yet the Sun glows behind the clouds, as it gives us the promise of Light! Light always comes after the Dark. I am grateful for the cycle of Night and Day; Light and Dark!
'Out of Darkness Cometh Light'.
Now almost summer solstice
Here comes the sun. Here comes the sun and I say : It's Alright.
♥️🌞♥️
❤❤❤❤❤

Blessed Yule! Happy Winter Solstice! Merry Christmas! From USA! ☀❄

Ancient Roman prayer that’s perfect for the season- O Sol, whose light embraces the world, you orbit inexhaustible, forever returning, your face glowing on each day, your horses harnessed as a team to drive your chariot. With manes braided pleasantly they rise high, passing over rose-red clouds as you rein their frothing fires. Already yet another year begins, measured by the footsteps of brothers, who as new Claudius Claudianus consuls gladly offer their prayers and vows.--from Claudius Claudianus In Olybii et Probini fratres Consules Panegyricus 1-7
Happy Yule and Merry Christmas! 🌞
romans failed to invade britain, twice
🙏✨Thank you for sharing such a BEAUTIFUL prayer! I’m gonna write it down~!
Beautiful site to see with the arrival of winter. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this amazing event virtually.
Happy winter solstice from down under summer solstice, love the connection
Thank you, English Heritage ... Same next year, yeah? I hope to be there in person, one day.
Greetings from Austria ❤❤❤
Watching from Austin, TX!
I can’t believe people leaning on the stones.
Pls be more respectful
Thank you for posting😊
I was there last year! Watching from California today.❤
very cool
Thank you so much for sharing this. We're watching from 1/2 a world away 🤗🌄 Happy Solstice & New Year to all.
Thank you for live-streaming this, and for making the video available for replay for those of us in other time zones. May I ask - what is the lovely ambient sound composition that plays over the visual image? It is perfect.
Winter solstice is for looking at the sunset at Stonehenge. It's the summer solstice for the sunrise.
All I saw were people
Thank you
sol invictus
im a winter solstice baby born on this day
I went there many years ago on a non-solstice day & it was completely roped off. I heard no one could enter but druids, ever. Guess that changed. Where are the henge-shaped donuts??
It normally is roped off. It only opens up on the Solstice's and you have to buy tickets to attend.
Th e Inner Circle can be entered on both Summer and Winter Solstice, or by purchasing tickets for other days of the year for VIP experiences ( early morning or early evening entrance )
I did the inner circle tour in September. I thought it was worth the price. We did the sunrise tour and walked among the stones. An archeologist was available to talk about the stones and theories etc. Awe inspiring! @@kevinspicer3482
Did I miss it? Watching here in USA and fell asleep.😮 What is the time difference? Can someone help, please?
Depends on your time zone. 8 hours from CA/West Coast time. 5 from Eastern.
Why was it filmed at sunrise? The sun and Stonehenge align at sunset on the Winter solstice.
Hi there, the sunrise immediately following winter solstice - when the days begin to get longer - is the moment traditionally marked at Stonehenge, and our live coverage replicates this.
at 19:30 the announcer say it's an hour away
Two year anniversary of the last Yule Concert
I thought I was going to see THe Solstice, all I saw were people.
That’s often what it’s like visiting Stonehenge unfortunately. So many people.
I had to step away from the henge to even get a glimpse of the sunrise, sadly taller people than me prevented me from getting to a good viewing spot.
@@Ravendarkwytch sorry to hear that, but I'm so glad for you that you went!
I am confused. I see that everyone has seen the sun rise but I am in California and it the TH-cam channel screen says: live stream starting soon but not when? And it is 4:44 in London, so I think I missed it? Last year I saw it. Not sure what is going on. Why is it not showing?
Oh and blessings to all on this beautiful day!
I had the same thing happen, but it did eventually come on. I think it took a while to load. 38:41
Could have done without the "mystical" muzak...
Too many people. Ugh.
Shame about the music
Need to do this one day.thanks for the coverage it's so special 👏🪨
