Hey, Cloakwood Hermit doesn't trigger off tokens hitting the graveyard because a token is not a "creature card". If it said "creature", it would apply.

if it's a squirell it does because it's a "creature" "token"

Personal card suggestions below, as someone who's played Chatterfang for a long time. It was my very first MTG deck after all.
First of all, run Nested Shambler every time, no exceptions. Chatterfang can sack as many squirrels as you want to buff Shambler, killing it and summoning twice as much as you initially sacrificed. It's a deceptively powerful combo tool that I almost removed from my deck before I realised just how insane it can be. 10 can become 20, 20 can become 40, and all for one mana.
"When Nested Shambler dies, create X tapped 1/1 green Squirrel creature tokens, where X is Nested Shambler's power."
    ------------
Run Gala Greeters every time, no exceptions. It's cheap, there's no reason not to run it, one of the best 2 drops you can hope to draw. Always pick treasure first, which will generate another squirrel, which will give you another proc on Gala Greeters etc etc. Doesn't go infinite sadly, but at it's peak it'll be generating a treasure, a squirrel, a +1/+1 counter and healing you every turn.
"Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, choose one that hasn't been chosen this turn - Put a +1/+1 counter on Gala Greeters, Create a tapped Treasure token, You gain 2 life."
    ------------
I personally run Overwhelming Stampede instead of Overrun. Chatterfang is 3/3, so at minimum it's exactly the same. However, if you have a higher attack unit on board then it becomes a strictly better card for the same CMC.
"Until end of turn, creatures you control gain trample and get +X/+X, where X is the greatest power among creatures you control."
    ------------
Use Obscuring Haze over other fog effects. It's free with Chatterfang out, only costs 2 colourless 1 green without Chatterfang on board, and it only prevents all damage that would be dealt by creatures your _opponents_ control. Significantly more versatile, potentially cheaper, and worst case scenario it's only 2 CMC more expensive for a far superior effect. 10/10 card.
"If you control a commander, you may cast this spell without paying its mana cost. Prevent all damage that would be dealt this turn by creatures your opponents control."
    ------------
What you really want is Coat of Arms, but Beastmaster Ascension is BY FAR the most cost efficient anthem you could possible include if you're looking to upgrade a budget deck without going overboard with £20 cards. As long as you have a big board already, you can just immediately swing and everything gains 5/5. Not to mention, only 3 CMC.
"Whenever a creature you control attacks, you may put a quest counter on Beastmaster Ascension. As long as Beastmaster Ascension has seven or more quest counters on it, creatures you control get +5/+5."
    ------------
Crowded Crypt is a cheap-ish card (£3) for a very fun effect. Gains a counter whenever an ally dies, sack it to summon a 2/2 zombie with decayed for each counter. It's a nice contingency plan for when people clear your board.
"Whenever a creature you control dies, put a corpse counter on Crowded Crypt. Tap, Sacrifice Crowded Crypt: Create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token with decayed for each corpse counter on Crowded Crypt."
    ------------
One of my absolute favourite cards is Death Tyrant. You can infinitely summon it from the graveyard for 6, but what we're really interested in is it's passive effect. All you need to do is swing your squirrels and then sack them with Chatterfang at the same time during combat phase. It's utterly devastating. Your squirrels give you zombies, plus a zombie for each blocker that you killed, plus you'll get all the squirrels back.
"Whenever an attacking creature you control or a blocking creature an opponent controls dies, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token."
    ------------
Lastly, don't use Mycoloth. It's too slow. There are plenty of cheap alternatives that aren't nearly as risky. I pursued the Mycoloth dream for a very long time and it never went smoothly. The second you play a big Mycoloth the entire table turns against you, and more likely than not all you'll have accomplished is a wasted turn, plus you lose all of the squirrels you used to feed it.

With the amount of ways to create creatures with somewhat high power, im surprised there isnt any mention of Fungal sprouting (sorcery, 3G, create X 1/1 saproling creature tokens where X is the Highest power among creatures you control) nor Ghoulcaller Gisa (Legendary creature, human wizard, 3BB, 3/4 with "B, tap: sacrifice a creature, create X 2/2 Black zombies where X is the power of sacrificed creature). Both cards are 20 or so cents and i think could fit this deck.
Specially Gissa, since her ability is at instant speed so whenever you are about to get your turn, you activate it with any spare mana, and the moment you got a couple anthems in the board, even squirrels are netting you 4 zombies and therefore, 4 squirrels. In fact, even without anthems, you are paying 1 mana once per round to make a 2/2 zombie for free

As a avid chatterfang player, I highly advise playing Khalni garden as a land

With the density of coloured mana I'd replace Zhalfirin Void and Crystl Grotto with a basic

Cloakwood Hermit wouldn't work with tokens because they're not cards. 108.2b Tokens aren’t considered cards-even a card-sized game supplement that represents a token isn’t considered a card for rules purposes.

ah dang, you're right. Thought I'd read the cards diligently, but clearly I'd missed that detail in Cloakwood Hermit. Maybe something like Glittermonger would be an okay replacement, slightly higher mana cost but gives consistent treasure tokens. Good call though!
