Hello guys,
This was one of the most interesting videos I have made so far. Touge has been a part of my childhood, and for all of us Initial D fans, I think it has been too. Simply put, the word “touge” translates to “mountain pass” in Japanese. This type of racing involves driving at high speeds on winding mountain roads. Touge racing is known for its challenging and technical nature, as drivers must navigate tight corners and steep inclines while maintaining control of their vehicles. I apologize if I didn’t showcase all the games or if I missed a few, but I hope you enjoy it.

Carbon felt the most intense overall, even more when you also factor in the OST that comes with canyon racing.
They felt more like life or death events than anything else in the series. They were even more intense than the chase sequences in Need for Speed The Run (and those sequences are actual life or death events in that the player character dies if the player fails them).
That forza motorsport 1 map as a kid had me upset for months because kid me didn't know wtf was a break😭
The reason why I like Touge Racing games is because of initial d Special Stage
the first one I played and at the same time having the most difficult boss to beat

I agree.. it would be awesome if they add point to point races
GT4 would've had touge-like races in Missions but it was cut during development.
Edit: Though he could've do GT6 spec ii mod videos where user created tracks are restored, including Mt. Hakodate.

Feel nostalgia with Initial D Special Stage when i was child play on Arcade it was fun back then
Initial D and Gran Turismo/Fast and Furious sparked the golden age of racing games in the late 1990s to the mid 2000s, Japanese developers were really going all out with Gran Turismo clones or games focused on the Japanese racing scene (touge, expressway).
Real shame this era don't exist anymore, they aint making a new Tokyo Extreme Racer title.

Grid 2's touge racing doesn't feel like a race, it feels like a battle.
And nfs run, there was a part of the story mode where you could touge
You skipped straight from TXR Drift 1 (Kaido Battle 1) to TXR Drift 2 (Kaido Battle 3), the 2nd game, Chain Reaction (or just Kaido Battle 2) was released in Europe as Kaido Racer, and TXR Drift 2 was released as Kaido Racer 2

I really wish Forza Motorsport 1 got some mod support to fix its framerate. Its such a good game but looks so stuttery when you play it, even on original hardware.
