Apple is so complicated, and their prices are not worth it. I rather go durable than pretty looks. Apple purposly builds their stuff in a way so you have to buy new products or replace your products. I was forced to buy the new Mac pro 2020 for school since my college shut down and the labs won't be available for use for a long time. It was required technology to buy the new Mac and I still hate it. The fact it murdered my wallet, and it's not simple to use. What you get for a MacBook is not worth the price.

I think the battery life is the deciding factor for me. 5 hours isn't going to last me through a full day of classes and misc. use, and I'm not willing to spend more for the 13 inch model's 7 hrs. In this case I'll probably go with the MBP. BTW, if iFixit has taught me anything it's that I believe those screws on the bottom are called "pentalobal" screws, referring to the five leaf design.
I've had my Macbook Air almost a year now and I'd never noticed those collapsable prongs on the power adapter to wind the MagSafe power cord up on. I was always taught that wrapping a cord up like that will damage the wires inside, so I wouldn't do that, but it's funny that I hadn't noticed those until watching this video. Great HD too Mike!!
@@hooby7045 because i bought model 2017 in November 2019 so. Now saving some more money to buy colorful i would go for green one which pair with my iphone 12 green. MacBook Air m1x or maybe they not upgrade that much because m1 itself is one of the most powerful chip in it.
i have a 15.6" laptop and the macbook air 11". need less to say, it feels a little small, but it is great for everyday tasks like browsing, reading slides, doing some homework. frankly, you'll love the 11"air more than the 13" air. go for the 128GB one

+Lucky 7s Get it. I have this exact model which I bought over 4 years ago, and it's still going strong. This model only has 2Gb ram and 64Gig internal storage, so it's limited, but it still runs fast as the first day that it was unboxed. The only bad thing about it is that I cannot upgrade the RAM because it's soldered onto the motherboard. The latest model will have 256GB or 128GB storage and 4GB ram, so you should be OK. If I were you I'd get the 256GB storage and save yourself the hassles later on when you have to upgrade your storage space.
My iPhone 7 is so much more powerful than this MacBook Air... in fact my iPhone is as powerful as the new MacBook Air... Ik arm cpus aren't as good as x86
Molly Green there is a big difference between the new one and the OG one. The new CPU is more power efficient , the ssd and ram is so much faster. I recommend you buy a 2013 one if you budget allows it since the 2010 is at the end of its life and will get its software support cut off.
this is still 1299$ and it only have a dual core with 64gb storage and 2g of ram LOL😂😂😂😂😂😂 my 400$ laptop has a quadcore with 4gb of ram and 200gb of storage:')

You dont need one. You can use remote access and use the dvd drive from another computer (pc or mac) or if thats not good enough you can always buy an external dvd drive. The future is wireless and cd free.
For you all that are wondering if it's for gaming or not. It CAN do games, but it doesn't mean it should. Mine, I only use it for work and documents and internet and music/music videos. Besides that, if you want gaming, get a high grade macbook pro. Macbook pros can handle gaming way better I think. Besides that, the Macbook air is an amazing laptop, and I think we'll see a better on in the future.
Personally, I went to the store to buy the 11 inch but in person you can see how small it is. The 13 inch which I ended up buying is so much better. Not too big yet not too small. I recommend you get the 13 inch.

11.6" is actually my preferred form factor for a laptop. Nearly as portable as a tablet, but the functionality of a notebook.

TribalModz why cuz the build quality and performance cuz windows gets lot of updates and makes it lag a lot

I prefer the on and off button to be a button and not a key. It's just to easy to press it when you don't want to.
