In a way this proved that light isn't just a wave, and instead can be thought of as packets of energy called photons, and this led to something called Wave-Particle Duality. This is Einstein making the whole concept EXTREMELY simplified for casual people watching the telly. Anyone can understand Einstein's theories to a reasonably scientific level, but not in a few minutes.
I don't think he thinks differently at all. He did a lot of research and saw some connections that others haven't noticed before. I'm not trying to downplay his intelligence but I don't think he's superhuman.

In a way this proved that light isn't just a wave, and instead can be thought of as packets of energy called photons, and this led to something called Wave-Particle Duality. Now there are other experiments such as the double slit experiment which shows that light can act like both a wave, and a particle!
