In fact it would be very good for theoretical physics, which has pretty much devolved into a religion for the last 50 years, making theories which CANNOT be tested and hence are useless for science. Maybe he could make a breakthrough and change that.
      But the photoelectric effect and mass-energy equivalence are his simpler and more understandable works, accessible to the average undergrad. Of course, concepts like his field equations and the general theory of relativity are still highly inaccessible to 99.9% of the population.

In a way this proved that light isn't just a wave, and instead can be thought of as packets of energy called photons, and this led to something called Wave-Particle Duality. Now there are other experiments such as the double slit experiment which shows that light can act like both a wave, and a particle!

      I'm German and I've heard him speak in German before, but I was a little shocked at first, because his voice was a lot higher and more "squeaky" than I'd expected! I always imagined his voice to be this deep wise old man voice, but it's a lot more like my voice which shocked me.
