The background reminds me of the psychedelic light show behind the 60's rock groups at San Francisco's Fillmore auditorium. Love the singing birds instead of the usual cherubs.
This is the same director behind The Adventures Of Prince Ahmad, the first full length animated film. She did it before Disney. Snow White was the first full length animated film with sound
This was my first time watching this. Unfortunately, you've created a background that the artist did not intend for the animation, so I missed many of the movements because of your distracting addition. How could you do that? I had to find the film again with the original and subtly painted background to discover everything I'd missed. As an artist myself, I'm appalled. How dare you blot out her art? Shame on you! I advise anyone who hasn't seen the original artist's work, without this psychedelic crap in the background, so that you can actually see the artistry of the film that Reiniger intended.
Such a fascinating work of true art, thank you. I somehow managed to live for 50 years without ever seeing her work until today.
Thank you very much. there is a interesting doku about her and how she worked, beside all her other beautiful films.

@heiko kotsch You don't say. Well, I do love Wagner. So?
5:39 Birds help him fight a giant ANACONDA?! He's ANIMAL-MAN!
Beautiful indeed, but without that sort of... improvement?
Am I tripping on acid or is this a hippy version of colorizing a classic??? With all due respect, I'm not convinced of the improvement.
