Wired's been real quiet since this dropped.
Lol
You should get pinned
That's literally the first thing I thought too XD
Lol
😂😂😂😂
Thank you Philip, your Chinese pronunciation is so perfect!
Congrats on your sub 3 solve
:D
so true
Woah
Woah
I really appreciate Phillip taking the time to learn to pronounce Ruihang Xu's name perfectly
Yeah and his pronounciation wasnt too bad
Yeah, that’s impressive
He even got the tones correct
@@CossyMango 拼音
It was almost perfect
I walk away from cubing for a few years and I come back to this??
Same I can't keep up with all the new records and all my algs are outdated now
same dude, I stopped during that 3s something wr
We're evolving (except my lazy ass me)
@@christianw5055 I was planning to practice a few years ago and be competitive but now it's just a hobby for me, these records are ridiculous
same bruv some crazy shit
Cross-0.2
F2L-1.28
OLL-1.2
PLL-Skip / Auf- U2
dude his OLL is almost as long as his F2L wtf
@@guilhermeh1134 his f2l was litterally 4 free pairs
@@itzjanosbtw1509 I noticed it, but it still incredible, even if you do something really lucky, it still cool
At this point f2l is just an alg
@@itzjanosbtw1509 still f2l with 13 tps is crazy
I think it's time Wired released a ''why it's almost impossible to solve Rubik's cube in under 2 seconds'' video.
True
I swear he will broke the wr average soon
That was incredibly lucky though
@@0range_jell0 Most pb's are lucky
* solves it In 1.94 second *
I am in awe at the fact that sub-3 WR is on its way at this point.
Yeah, clearly if the solve is under 25 moves sub 3 is possible
@@blaparty5514 I think people can even sub-3 with more than 30 moves
@@conzo4620 yeah, or at least something like 27 moves, since prime Felix had 9tps in his WRs
this aged well
we'll see, these guys can do 1000s of solves per day, they only get 15 per competition
That boy is so fast that if we look through it in slow mode,we can’t even see very clear of what he did
i can
*Ruihang Xu
So we're agreed that he's just the Flash, right?
Wired: it is imposible to solve a Rubik's cube in 3 seconds
Ruihang xu: hold my cubes
Edit: Don't go to the replies 😐
You are dumb the title of the wired video is “Why it’s almost impossible to solve a Rubik’s cub in under 3 seconds” you should’ve read the title of the video before typing this unfunny comment
@@reigndrops1693 chill it was a joke
@@reigndrops1693 it was a joke why are you so butthurt lmao
@@reigndrops1693 bruh you actually took your time to insult a joke, man I feel like people like you have no life
@@PeterRicklll i’m sorry man and you’re right i don’t have a life :(
Tbh that’s a really accurate pronunciation of his name at the beginning
Yeah I actually assumed the channel guy was native Chinese lol
Ikr caught me off guard
Dude, you do these breakdown videos so incredibly well
thank you :)
0:04 the way lazer monkey says his name.....it is amazing
I have to say I really liked the frame by frame part as well. It’s cool to see the slow recon, but seeing the frame by frame really puts it in perspective. Nice job
Yusheng Du: *solves in his house*
"Ding dong!"
Ruihang Xu: Can we solve together?
LMAO
Congrats on 100k Subs. Appreciate these detailed reconstructions!
thanks
I give full respect to lazer for pronouncing ruihang's name and accent perfectly
I finally hit sub 10 seconds and now realize 3 seconds is the new norm
Actually 3 seconds isnt the new norm, the world record average is 5 seconds
i was literally looking for recons of this solve 20 mins ago wow
Hey Bryce
@@CubingTube oh high wassup
I'm amazed and thankful that decent footage even exists of this solve to allow for recon and verification. There must also be so many eyes on Ruihang at this point if someone was filming them (though it might just well be the people they went with). Just amazing.
I like how you pronounce Xu Ruihang's name exactly how it actually should be pronounced
Congrats on 100k, Lazer!
Ayyy congrats on 100k subs!!!!
Keep up the great work
I have watched this video multiple times because the cube looks amazing
WOW Congrats!!
That’s amazing!
When I saw the thumbnail I was like. HUH??!!
When i saw that 2.68 i was like. A new version cube??
2.68 was the time 😑
Lol
Congratulations on 100k subs!
100k subs congrats!
Ruihang with Tymon's effeciency and Jabari's knowledge of algs is god mode
Definitely going way to fast to recognize the winter variation, but damn imagine if he had
Sub 2 lol
That was fantastic!
this is absolutely INSANE
This has got to be the easiest scramble of all time. I average 15 seconds and got a 7 on this scramble
Eh cross is a bit weird
Ruihang Xu is a genius
you dont actually need to be a genius to solve a rubik's cube. all you really need is a decent memory and fast reaction time
@@this_account_is_dead Solving a cube and being as fast as Ruihang are two completely different things
Wow so amazing ❤️
100k subs gg philip!
How this guy nailed the pronounciation of of Xu is just incredible
Woah, he's so lucky, actually he did do cross in about 0.9s and there're 4 F2L things already. Next thing is, he did OLL in about 1s and skipped PLL.
His hand is kinda fast tho.
P/s:Been watching 0.25x slower.
I stop cubing for a year and thing much has changed, I’m impressed
100K, congrats!
The funniest thing is the kid looks like he's just chilling while solving it in 2 seconds 😂
0:02 "Chiquita" 😈👌🏽
Everytime I think we have reached the pinnacle of the records, a new one shows up
Congrats on 100k
Ruihang’s tps is faster then my internet connection
😁
This is the 3x3 world record!

buenisimo crack
Congratulations for 100k subs
so you're telling me that his 2.68 solve could literally have been faster... my god.
WOW!!! 100k subs
Wow!!!!! Uwe Meffert just invented the pyraminx!!!
@@dylancossin huh
Damn crazy solve
WOW Amazing speed. I made a beginner tutorial to solve the cube, but this fast is incredible.
I see 2.68, I click
this guy did a whole solve faster than I can execute Na perm
WOW, HE IS AMAZING
This changes everything
Wired: solving a cube under 3 seconds is almost impossible
Ruihang xu: *Well let's see about that*
Its more like:
Ruihang Xu: *hold my beer*
People who get quick solves really get the lucky scrambles
Dream F2L scenario!!!
Congrats!! 1 lakh subs.....Woo-Hoo!!🎊🎊
0:51 already turning at world record pace
If he inserted the last 2 pairs the other way around, he would've had an OLL skip + U perm from the back, either way it was an amazingly fast solve
Very cool video
Leo borromeo, ruihang, matty hinaba, yiheng wang are the future of speedcubing
He rotated faster than me doing half a turn.
The start of chinese domination
That was smooth man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Lazer0Monkey on 100k subs!
When I started cubing Matt Valk's 5.55 was 🔥🔥🔥🙃😂😂😂
When I started cubing, beating Erik's 7.08 was unimaginable...
When the first people started cubing (with Rubik's prototype), nobody even knew if there would always be a solution for every scramble. Imagine how long the first solve in history must have taken!
Bought my first speed cube 3 weeks ago. My best solve is 2 mins and I’m trying to memorize those oll algorithms. I’m 38 btw 😂
Try learning 2look OLL first
If at this point you’re any faster, you should try learning more efficient f2l cases, as this improves your times much better than full OLL.
I don't know why but I love your fingertricks lol
Omg, that scramble is suspecious...idk
Thanks for video!
Question on the Friedrich method: What is the probability after the OLL "Roosters" of falling out of the same PLL, for example, "Sledge". According to mathematical laws, the same PLL should always fall out after the same OLL. Have such statistics been conducted? Or do completely different PLLs always fall out after the same OLL ?
I couldn't understand
@@rax1899 absolutely any PLL can fall out
@@user-wj3bj8rp5c fall out?
@@user-wj3bj8rp5c roosters? Fall out? Im sorry but i dont understand
@@rax1899 it does not depend . at least something can fall out.
Is no one gonna talk about how this guy has 100K subs?
Congrats man! 🥳
Is anyone going to talk about how Erno Rubik invented the Rubik’s cube
true
@@dylancossin yes
Nice vid! Can you please release a „mains for 2021“ video? They always were interesting
Ruihangs turning speed looks superhuman
Godlike at cubing
Might be the easiest scramble in history. only had to unpair 1 pair then last layer skip lol.
@Agustin Clemente Ochoa THAT IS OBVIOUSLY FAKE
@Agustin Clemente Ochoa THAT'S PRETTY COOL
CAN YOU GIMME THE LINK TO THE VID
@Agustin Clemente Ochoa it clearly shows a completely different scramble on the timing app.
Will you reconstruct his 5.69 avg?
100.000 subscribers!!!
Everyone waited for this moment for their whole lives
This solve could've been like 1.4 - 1.5 secs if he recognized the skip. That's where I think world records for cubing end. I think the real physical limit for the fastest time to solve a rubik's cube is 1.3 seconds
HIS ROTATIONS ARE TOO FAST!
I thought that solve was rotationless lol
Ayo what, u pronounced the name perfectly sheeesh
you are the best

Could have been like 0.98 or something
Awesome
From C4L - Rubik with love
Once competitions are back around the whole world, we are definitely gonna have a Sub-3.
I think it is high time scramble standards are introduced. Yes, Ruihang Xu is an awesome cuber, no doubt. However, the common thread with all these super fast solves is actually the scramble being such that it is even possible. Any of the top cubers would have likely done a sub 3 second solve on that scramble, so how meaningful, as an individual achievement is this time really? Or is it really just being the lucky one out of the worlds top cubers to get that scramble?
There is a mathematical measure known as the measure of disorder. That is, a calculation of the degree to which a scramble is not only disordered with respect to the solved configuration, but also with respect to the pieces in relation to each other once scrambled.
The problem is that we are looking only at the degree of disorder with respect to the solved position and not with respect to the scrambled position. That is to say that a scramble that lines up all F2L pairs for you, can in theory have those pairs located on the scrambled cube such that it is maximally disordered with respect to a solved cube. This the pieces are not disordered with each other, therefore making an easy solve.
Computationally, it is not that difficult to produce scrambles that are maximally disordered both with respect to the solved state and within the scrambled state. So, the lack of ensuring that competition level scrambles are optimally scrambled, suggests that the world cubing organisations are motivated to maintain level of excitement and hype and momentum created by ever lower 3x3 times, and going to an optimal scramble model would be a massive setback to the now multi-million dollar industry, and great consternation to record keepers and competition organisers.
However, if this change is not made, the credibility of the achievements of cubers will gradually erode as people increasingly attribute these amazing times to the poor quality of the scrambling algorithms, rather than the personal achievements of the cubers. Ultimately, this could lead to a lose of confidence in the legitimacy of cubing competitions from both participants and the general public.
So, for all cubers out there, please consider putting pressure on the world cubing association to reform the scrambling methodology before its too late.
Thanks for reading this.
TL:DR?
Cubers getting buffs!
U nailed his name
This is way too much for my newbie sub -13 mind to process
アタマオカシイ 🤣 even Max recored 2.9 the other day
100k lets goooo
The next cubing competition will have so many records
Fantastic pronunciation of the name there, he didn't make the words all have a flat tone like people normally do
Lets all just appreciate that a kid did this
that intonation tho
and he has the wr now
