    Awesome old friction crane. Back in the 1970’s this crane was one of the highest capacity rigs. The 7707 was competing with the legendary Manitowoc 4100W. This crane was actually about 70 tons higher capacity than the 4100W. It would be very interesting to see how their load charts compare. I’d also like to know how many of these 300 ton giants were built. I’m aware that Clark Lima also manufactured a 300 ton truck crane. Back in 1970’s P&H also had a 300 ton truck crane. That was the model TC-6250. Featuring a 6 axle carrier and 250 metric tons capacity.So yes, there were some very impressive cranes available over 50 years ago.

    I’m confused about the model number. Is this a 7707 or a 7700 ???
