A GOOD FATHER & SON PROJECT THAT SHOULD BE DONE! Life comes and goes and the moment should be seized. A Father isn't going to be around forever, so let's see the son help his Dad out. Life isn't guaranteed so cherish it. Great video 📸. Thanks.
Did you miss the part where we both talk about how it would neat to finish, but we have several other projects that should be finished since they need so much less work than this one. This is just a project that doesn't interest us as much as Dad's Charger, Van, or Bug
Pops needs to put some PETERBILT hood cables on the front end . It’s what I used on my tilt front end! Very cool project to finish! Love the nailhead Buick engine !
Sounds to me like this needs to become a priority. Your dad has a sentimental attachment to this beautiful truck. Maybe start thrashing on it a couple hours here and there and let your dad drive it. It would be good to see the smile on his face as he's cruising down the road with your mom. Also, if you're looking for a frame for this, maybe check with adventures made from scratch he gets a lot of these old trucks in at the scrapyard and he'd be more than happy to sell you a frame and I believe he's in Kansas as well. By the way, hope your dad is doing OK. He looks like he's been losing some weight.
@@ScottsSpeedShop well at least we know that your dad is in good health. It just kind of caught me off guard. Thanks for the update, my friend. Now get back to work on that beautiful truck. Present your dad with the hot rod, he can take to some local shows and just enjoy cruising with your mom in.
Oh snap lol it’s my old men’s bday in a couple days too you can measure the frame from length times with and didn’t take another frame and do the same thing and it’s transfer everything over
Dang son! That nailhead purrs like a kitten, dads truck needs a little tlc,it doesnt have a floor but with some elbow grease it'll be good when it's done
that ole GMC would fit really good on a early 90s S10 frame, preferrably extended cab that way you can fit that long frame properly , then you also have all the modern suspension and steering components too. easy to gets parts from the auto zone
Jed, quite the nice "Safari" into the GM nailhead V-8 and that switchey transmission. As a project, a lot of hours and $$$$$$ to get it on the pavement again, but when has that ever stopped you and Dad?
I just lost my stepdad who was a car guy. I think it go to the front of the line. Dads older. Get it down. You have the rest of your life to finish the other projects.

@wingerfan1 we've both been living significantly more active life styles, so we both lost quite a bit of weight since we moved

At 9:25 there is a neat looking engine back towards the wall .
@@Mike_Collins392 that's an early dodge poly engine, a 241 I believe
@@ScottsSpeedShop Thanks , I see that now .
I know this is a Mopar channel but I love me a Nail.

It might be easier just to get am S10 frame to put it on, then you can back half and foot link it😊

My 70 Buick gs had the switch pitch
I saw a Baja bug for sale on the side of the road today and all i think of while passing her was "hey that's a baaaa-ja bug!"
@@stevenaugustine94 you need it! Buy it!

@@mikestackhouse9001 we just got other things we want to finish first
I watched
You can pick up an S 10 Roller and Use the frame
Oh it different Jed 😮it’s not a Mopar . At least it not chev powered thank goodness 😅 .
I wish they would have made a switch-pitch with a lockup. Then you could have 3 stages: high stall, low stall, locked.
@@failranch9542 agreed
Put new tires on and wind up having to put new tires on again. LOL. Been there done that.
Finish it
